I believe Madden standalone will sell more on PS4 but bundle + standalone will give Xbone the edge.

The two don't come out in the same month.

I would be surprised if the XB1 doesn't outsell PS4 in August because Madden is the biggest release of the month and the bundle should help a fair bit.

I'll be shocked if it does. A next gen Madden is already out and while Microsoft will be advertising it, nothing is preventing Sony from marketing during NFL games.

So with something like a 180k PS4 LTD lead in December, Madden sold between 350k and 400k on XB1, and between 300k and 400k on PS4

Now there will likely be a 750k PS4 LTD lead when Madden launches although a bundle in XB1's favor

Xbox sold 123,929 systems in its opening week in Japan, and 472,992 lifetime sales.

Xbox 360 sold 62,135 systems in its opening week in Japan, and 1,614,619 lifetime sales.


...Xbox One isn't going anywhere in that region.

So the xbone in the opening week is going to be 31K and 6,400K lifetime .

pretty sure he meant that it would let the Xbox One version of Madden edge out the PS4 version in sales, not hardware sales

Yes it seems Madden did indeed sell better on XB1 relative to PS4 when taking install base into consideration but now that the gap has grown by more than half a million more it will be interesting to see the results

I'm still probably thinking it will go like this
