Over 1.6 million.
The xbone is a disaster.
So it's:
PS4 = 330k
XB1= 242k
WiiU = 66k
Correct?
PSV: 12K
PS3: 2K
Dude, it's ill advised to post all the numbers in one post like that. I suggest you edit them out and send them via PM.PS4: 330K
XBO: 242K
3DS: 171K
Wii U: 66K
360: 24K
PSV: 12K
PS3: 2K
Disaster is a strong word.Hyperbole.
The sales are actually pretty good, the PS4 just happens to have been in beast mode since day one.
You kids get off my lawn!Cool, I didn't expect there were so many around my age here on GAF.
SFV got wrecked, deserved quite frankly.
Release a game just for the benefit of the FGC = GG Capcom
Except it doesn't just benefit FGC it benefits gamers who just want to play a quality fighter, train with a character and get fight money to buy upcoming characters for free.
You kids get off my lawn!
That audience has shrunk over the last few years.
To be fair most Sony AAA exclusives title aside from uncharted 4 (come on) and bloodborne has failed miserably financially imo. I think Microsoft exclusives are doing better.

Quantum Break was the best selling game overall in the UK during it's first week (which estimates peg it at ~28k). Here's the official blurb from Microsoft:

If online competition scares people you can still do all that without going online. You know whom it doesn't benefit? collectors who just want to put it on the shelf after a few hours. Countless games in the past has shown that these days you simply can't judge a game aiming to deliver content for years on the basis of day 1.
Disaster is a strong word.
It's also a word that has been used at MS.
Because Microsoft had little marketing for RotTR and the bundle was only limited to Best Buy and Microsoft Store. Microsoft literally sent it out to die. Sony, on the other hand, marketed SFV well and even built up hype at PSX. Not sure about the bundles, though. Anyway, most of us who are active on Sales GAF don't have an agenda and we state only facts.Just a question, why when ROTR flopped most people said exclusivity deal hurt the game a lot but now when SF5 bombed hard no one think that?

Edit: Also, just to add, Microsoft paid a lot more attention to the Fallout 4 bundle last year.

An exclusivity deal would definitely have resulted in less sales, but most of the core fighting game fans are on PlayStation anyway. Besides, the exclusivity deal wasn't the reason the game flopped. The bad word of mouth due to the lack of content killed sales. Very different reason from RotTR.Didn't say anyone have any agenda, just genuinely asked why no one think that a game like SF5 wouldn't hurt from being exclusive.

Slow and steady wins the raceWhat Vita well over the PS3?
Where is this endurance coming from? Was there a resupply after a long drought?

Oh man, Microsoft used the 'U' word. This is not looking good for Xbox.

WTF you're talking about? Outside The Order, all other exclusives sold well. IIRC Andrea Pessino said before that they are close to 1 mil. or similar a long ago.
Gravity Rush, Tearaway Unfolded, Driveclub...
It's actually hit and miss, but it's not because the games are bad.
How? If anything, the sales show the opposite. Mortal Kombat's success, and it's repeated success (charting again on the NA and EU PSN top downloads for March 2016 with a new $60 release with SFV nowhere to be seen) shows that a lot of people will pay $60 for a fighting game if there's substantial amount of content, even if the game is a year old.
I do agree that the state that Street Fighter V was/is in, Capcom would've been better off going with KI's model rather than a full $60 release. Lower initial entry price would've set better expectations, less negative reactions, less negative word of mouth, and would've been better received in general. But I hope low content releases don't become a common thing for fighting games.

Does anyone know how much MLB sells over a year? I think that franchise is really overlooked. If it can make like a 500k (I think it might be more) a year its a pretty amazing IP to own
Driveclub has sold over 2M copies
Nah, man, the consoles already died a long, long time ago. Now, their corpses are being cremated. Next month, watch their ashes being scattered to the heartless sea. In May NPD, the PS4 will be reborn like a phoenix.Hey guys, seems like this was a good month sales-wise. But wait, PS4 was only up by a small amount. Are consoles dead yet? This is usually around the time we proclaim, yeah?
As an MLB fan I really appreciate Sony continued support but to be fair the market for baseball games is dead compared to FIFA, Madden, NBA2K or heck even the NHL.
I know it cant compare to stuff like FIFA but, if it sells at least 500k a year, its pretty good for an yearly exclusive. Some games take three or four years to develop and they struggle to sell more than that
But theres a lot of that going around isnt it? What is hyperbole versus what is a disaster?Hyperbole.

MK is a very special case in the west that reaches people that aren't normally interested in fighters. I guess it's arguable SF could break into that group if it ever became as SP content heavy, but we all know that isn't going to happen frankly.
Except survival mode and story mode are garbage
Where's my traditional arcade ladder mode and customizeable vs CPU options?
