That's not sales, that's leaderboards participation, which is not the same as sales.

There are a lot of problems with your line of reasoning, but one of them is the fact that Minecraft on 360 was on the Xbox Live Arcade store...which Halo 5 is not. They got you with marketing double talk.
Can you give me a source? Where was stated, that Halo 5 did so well digitally?

You sure about that? Titanfall spent a long time at $20 something dollars. You get it for free with EA access and those numbers will spike when we get the first real titanfall 2 announcement I believe

Looks like we (well, Matt) found the contradiction. I didn't even know they changed the name of their online store. I have a 360 but not an XB1, though.
That's the same number Titanfall used for their 10 million figure.
Lol what do you mean if there's a halo 6? Halo is and will continue to one of the most profitable Gaming IPs in existence, even with its substantial decline. It isn't going anywhere
Will they make H6 more content heavy at launch, most likely. That's a given. 'False advertising' and prometheans have nothing to do with the sales decline. The series has been in decline since H4, and now the numbers show it because many of the people who had 360s and bought H4, now play on PlayStation.
On another note, I wonder if MS will sell Warzone on windows store or something... Maximize revenue potential

Just saw that - I assume the arcade and store are treated separately. I find it very, very difficult to believe that Halo 5 sold upwards of 1 million digitally within a week (even if it was worldwide). That would be a really big outlier in terms of digital/retail splits, would it not?

After the UK Halo thread you still can't believe people could continue pulling the digital saviour card but people continue to be in denial.
To add to that, the franchise sold 13 million since the launch of UC3, with most of the sales likely being UC3 of course.
& despite some GAFers saying people only buy it for the single player, in its heyday only Call of Duty had a bigger population, UC3 always had 80k+ concurrent players.
Insure that # is helped by the digital codes in the bundles

God of war remaster mostly tanked, uc ain't doing that well. Yes they are remaster but not all remaster that are wanted do that poorly.
Didn't they do about as good as re remaster? Quite a big difference in game size and money.

But hasn't that already been proven. Look, I could be completely wrong. But digital is bigger than you all think. Realistically, these numbers are around 35-40% of all sales. A bit higher than usual, but not totally uncommon. Plus, the bundle contributed to 400-500k sales. So yes, 1 million digital is very likely.
Halo 5 seems to have the most defensive fans of any game I've seen when it comes to sales. They seem to defy logic just to make sales look good.

Today we had "Halo 5 sold 1 MILLION digitally!!!"

TLOU2 though is the one which I reckon will be absolutely massive. UC4 I am expecting similar/slightly better numbers than UC3. (About 7-8 mil)

Well, I'm not really generalizing. There are a group of people who insist that digital sales contributed an abnormally high percentage to the total sales of Halo 5. That's the fans I meant.
This doesn't have anything to do with Sony or Microsoft side. I never once brought it up. But some of you are so insistent that digital sales are huge for Halo 5 without evidence. And your Minecraft stats don't show anything.

First month shipments for UC3 were 5 million (compared to ~850k sell-through for NPD), so the US likely represents ~20% of the sales.
No, but I also gave my point of bundle's. Didn't that do 400-500k? In that scenario, its likely Halo 5 did average when it comes to digital, but the bundle's built it up. Its not that hard to believe it did 1 million digital, and it wouldn't be a big deal.
As a European my response is, I wish!
