Que? I don't follow. Did you read the thread? All that money Sony spend on Destiny didn't do much for them.
If Xbox One was somehow within 30k of PS4 I'm sure Microsoft would put out something.
If the PS4 is at 550k, although it's not confirmed, that puts the X1 at 520k, assuming Bruce isn't just being sarcastic.
This makes zero sense.I would say that Sony charging for online play really harmed MS more than Sony. People are migrating to PS4 in droves, they are not willing to pay for two subscriptions. MS should remove the paywall from Xbl.

Yeah, twice! But not in the US. And we are talking about US (NA) sales here.ya but Ps4 theoretically has twice the install base of xbone to begin with, so you'd think more people with with black Ps4s would also have interest in Destiny given the exclusive DLC and more time with the beta and alpha
Mmm hmm. Nothing they can do now though, the smartphone genie ain't going back in the bottle.
So arrogant sony will ride on. How's that "free" version of drive club, suspend/resume, and good ps4 titles on ps+?

No way, MS PR would be shouting we did 4x Aug NPD or whatever.
Nothing from MS yet? Welp... XBone 10k confirmed.
They lost the month still, and untill they get back to no 1 I think they'll keep thier mouths shut.
I doubt it's that high. I think that would be the biggest month of the year for XB1. They probably would have mentioned that.
Sony PR said:Destiny broke PlayStation Network

That tripling of sales disagrees.
If MS was within 30k of the PS4 they'd be shouting it from the rooftops.

Wait, you mean their release of "What? September? Nope. Haven't heard of it" doesn't ooze confidence?
No, if they were that close they would say something. That is their style.
LOL! MS would sooner leave the gaming business entirely before giving up that XBLG money.
People read.Thats generally true but its not this time I assure you. Just harkens back to some old NPD days when people would come in asking for numbers without checking the OP and running off thinking all kinds of cataclysms were befalling the industry.
Actually, the XBone is the largest console for Destiny =)

US only. There was only like a 700K gap between PS4 and Xbox One sales in the US before September. It's easy to think a lot of those people who owned a PS4 had no interest in Destiny.
Umm...So how would that go:
WE'RE NOT AS BAD AS WE THOUGHT WE WERE!!!!! GOOOO TEAM!!!!!!!!
All those sold were Destiny SKU's?
So for a different topic of discussion, do we have any info on Infinity 2.0?
Last year the title did somewhere in the realm of 200-270K from a quick look at old threads.
There seemed to be a lot of sentiment that it was going to drop a lot? And it's fallen a bit in chart position, but it's hard to draw info from that.
Also platform mix is sort of interesting. They dropped the Wii this year, so did that put a big dent in sales or have the new platforms made up for it?
The XBO falling behind the PS4 on the title is also somewhat interesting, as the former was performing better on family friendly titles last year from memory. Installed base disparity perhaps.
(It's a title that will probably have a slow burn though, so first month may not be as significant.)

I know they would never do that, they just need to put more value into their console.
Sony isn't a magician that hypnotizes XBL holders in droves. The problem Microsoft is having is those subs are remaining on 360.
PSN outages have increased as well as revenue.

Agreed, but this is really only important to hardcore gamers. Most people buying a console during the holiday season will get the console that has the games they like (basically Halo/SSO vs LBP3/?, can't think of any other PS4 first party games).
I feel like this holiday season is where a large chunk of the 360 owners will upgrade to XBone's finally. May not be enough to get them ahead of PS4 for a month, but should get some better console numbers at least.
And man how many people are there out there than can own PS4's. Are people starting to buy a backup or something...
