284K is pretty good in all honesty. PS4's #s are 2nd best in a September EVER. Kind of unfair to say the XB1 did badly just b/c the PS4 did that amazingly this month.

Reading other posts, I'll try to analise Destiny sales later, but...again, I'd love to get some updated LTDs for the following titles
- Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (since MH4G just came out in Japan and it's a Q1 release in US, just to get some perspective)
- Bravely Default (Agnés: Not having datas about it is unacceptable)
- Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
- Tomodachi Life (it's doing very well in Europe, but it's been two months since the last update from US)
I hope we get them

White PS4 sold because it was a white PS4 and Destiny. The White X1 bundle is not a PS4 and SO is not Destiny.
What I wonder is why the heck MS didn't save the white console and bundle it for $399 with CoD.
Is that on one platform or all?

Most people spent their money on Destiny I reckon. A shame as they are better games out e.g. SoM.

284k is not good at all in an essentially two-console market. The advertising budget, I presume, must have been huge in September and the deals they have been offering.
I mean Xbone getting outsold by 270k. Which means there is more or less a 1 million gap between the consoles in NA alone now.
MS need to slash at least $75 off the price to compete. I think a $50 price cut is incoming before Xmas.

We want to keep getting leaks, right?
When people post massive leak summaries + disseminate the data all around the Internet, it puts a lot of attention on GAF.
We want to reduce GAF's notoriety with these kinds of things by obfuscation.
Generally you can help by not reposting NPD numbers all around the Internet...it helps a lot with being able to continue to post leaks in the future.

The season kicked off this month according to MS, but I'd say they've started more like Man Utd. than Chelsea.
yes. this will probably be its peak year. 2015 will likely be stable or a slight/noticeable decline.

Over the past couple of months I've wavered from believing that MS had a stronger chance of winning November than Sony to currently believing it's fairly unlikely Mcirosoft wins November.
Anyone who is interested in buying a COD game is almost assuredly going to know it's available on PS systems too as has been the case for like 10 years whereas new IPs like Watch Dogs and Destiny might've convinced a few people that it's actually exclusive. So while I think COD and the co-marketing will boost XB1 sales for November I'm not sure it will be a crazy strong effect relative to PS4's gains. Nor do I suspect SO will be some large game which is unfortunate. The white bundle should sell well one would hope although we've heard in this thread that some stores have more pre-orders for the COD bundle than the SO bundle which is crazy because of the price difference and what you get. Halo MCC will sell great to the existing installbase and certainly bring in some new players but I doubt it will be a great amount.
Sony will garner more from every multiplatform release that's not co-marketed and Far Cry 4 should help. I doubt Driveclub does anything really interesting as it doesn't seem to have a lot of advertising although I guess Rushy claimed higher than projections which might be good. GTAV if it has a PS4 bundle in the US should do a lot to elicit adoption I think but even just co-marketing has potential.

When creamsugar posts numbers here and someone repeats those numbers on the forums there, everyone knows it's from creamsugar. Most forum posters talk about how the ******** numbers are BS but they still post there because the community is actually great. Unlike a GAF thread, you know who you're talking to, you know when someone's replied back to you. It's easy to go the last unread posts. Best of all - people don't on their high horses there.

Hm.. with that YoY and last year's numbers, you'd have approximately 75K, 332K, and 716K for the rest of the year. I'd be ok with that December # at least.
The people on that site have no responsibility since they aren't the original sources. You want these nice GAF folks to get shut down or in trouble? They're not on high horses. They're being careful.

People keep forgetting that these Destiny splits are only for US, just think what are the percentage in the RoW i bet PS family will cover at least 65% of total Destiny sales, looking only at NPD numbers and judging Sony-Destiny deal is wrong imo since EU market is as big as NA not to mention smaller ones that add up in Sony's favor

I'm assuming we have no Vita number because it's spectacularly high and would draw far too much attention. That's what I'm going with.

I'm not talking about creamsugar - he barely posts here but there are a lot of posters here who think they're better than others simply because they post here.
In any case, I'm sure NPD is well aware that numbers are leaked on this forum. The relatively vague numbers are posted anonymously so I don't see how it'll get any leaker in trouble (creamsugar and aquamarine).

I observed the availability on nowinstock and it was always in Stock. On Amazon it was charting between the 50th and 150th position or so for the whole september. Considering the months with supply constraints I expected Vita to be 10k-20k for september

Agreed on all counts. You know, I just don't understand why MS wasn't able to secure a $399 CoD bundle. I feel that could have really helped out a lot. Driveclub, I think, won't do too hot in NA, but it'll have alright WW sales.
At this point the GTAV bundle really is sort of a wildcard. If Sony brings it over and say prices it at $399 for BF, then there's no way they don't win, unless MS has some seriously amazing deal under their sleeve (which wouldn't surprise me). Imagine a $350 X1 with MCC and a year of gold, maybe even an extra game thrown in (SO or FH2)? Hell, if they have that deal I will buy one this year

PS4 just killed it this month. Did not expect that. I was thinking somewhere in the mid 300k range and was being optimistic.
A missed opportunity for 3rd parties and Sony not having more PS4 bundles this holiday but I guess MS needed to go on a spending spree to try turn things around. The 2 bundles they will probably have (GTA and Far Cry) will do real well.
GTA is only a remaster but its still GTA. If that thing sells 10% of the last gen version it will still beat most games sales.
