Trump is an evil, selfish idiot, but he's only in that office because 1. People made a series of giant mistakes. 2. An enemy nation tipped the scales. 3. Congress allows it to continue.

Trump put the people in place around him. As the CEO of the government, so to speak, he is absolutely responsible for the garbage that infests his administration.

Some of the National Security Council employees who used to work for the disgraced former National Security Adviser Gen Flynn circulated a memo in May, warning that the Trump presidency and agenda was being usurped by liberal media, globalists/cultural Marxists/Jews, Islamists, the "Deep State" intelligence community, and Transgenders. HR McMaster, the current head of the National Security Council, knew who wrote it based on its content, fired the writer (well, allowed him to resign gracefully before being escorted out of the building), then went ahead and fired others who had close to ties to Gen. Flynn. The memo eventually found its way to Donal Trump Jr, who forwarded it to his dad, who loved the content. When Trump found out (via Sean Hannity) that the author(s) had been sacked, he flipped his lid.

Now the rumors are that Trump is growing displeased with McMaster, and pro-Bannon (who was a fan of Flynn) media sites have been roasting him over the past few weeks, presumably to speed his firing:

Circa, a site owned by the conservative Sinclair Broadcasting company, published a letter Thursday that McMaster sent months ago to his predecessor Susan Rice, in which he informed her that she could keep her security clearance. It’s a standard letter, but it has caused a furor in light of the ongoing controversy over unmasking.

I still think about David Foster Wallace's (RIP) thoughts on wild conspiracies about the government. It was something along the lines of, "look at how slow and inept government generally is, do you really think they are organized enough to [insert conspiracy theory here]?"

well you see a bunch of jewish people got together and made this thing called the Frankfurt School where they all invented Cultural Marxism which then injected liberal elitist messaging into mass culture, tricking all women everywhere into only being attracted to black dudes which is why i have never had sex in my life and am terrified i never will the white race is now at risk of extinction due to race-mixing

I'm halfway through and there's nothing new here.

It landed on the Presidents desk, but there are way too many words(some of them big words!) for him to ever read it.

Look at the statement that "Transgender acceptance" is equivalent to "2+2=5". This is the heart of the issue. It's cool to be a bigot when it's the "deep state" jamming irrational thoughts down your bigoted threat.
