Number of PS5 Pro consoles sold?

Is there any indication of how many PS5 Pro consoles have sold?

I'm interested in how popular this mid-gen 'refresh' has been, and how big the market is for a £699 console.

Sony doesn't separate the PS5 Pro numbers from regular PS5. You'll have to dig through the European, UK and Famitsu sales threads to get an idea how it's selling.

Anecdotal but all of my enthusiast buddies upgraded from a PS4 to a PS4 Pro, but none have done the same with PS5.

GTA6 will probably move the needle big time. I'll be trading my slim for a Pro to maximize the rendering of Lucia's assets

It's behind in Japan and was behind in the US as of the end of Feb. But Sony don't break down their reported shipments by model, so we can't tell for sure.
They account the ps5 pro as a variant of the base ps5 doubt they will ever reveal it outside a very positive number.

It's obviously hard to determine, but there are some factors we can take into consideration.

PS5 Pro launched November 2024.

Before FYQ3 sony had sold 6.2 million units. This was down 25% YOY.

We could be aggressive and assume that keeping that decline steady, that with Sony selling 20.8 million the previous FY, being down 25 percent would put it at 15.6 million units and we know that 18.5 million units sold for the year. That would suggest the gap was something approx. 2.9 million units.

There are some other factors to consider like the PS5 Pro probably being heavier sold during its launch window, but also the PS Anniversary editions and the heavy discounting probably works against the Pro's numbers, but I think about 2.9 million is probably a fair conclusion.

We know that it's been a bit lighter in Japan and in Japan it's been just slightly over 20% of sales. I would say low end we're looking at about 2.46 million units. High end, we're looking 3.5 million units.

Enough where we will get a PS6 Pro imho.

The PS6 will probably cost at least 599 of these "£" at launch, plus the disc drive if we are lucky.
