The problem is, there is nothing better for it to compete with. It's PC or Pro for the best AAA experience.

Console wise, sure, there's nothing, but there is pc, and pc is so far ahead ever since the 5800x3d came out that the Pro can't exactly compete. If they gave it a cpu that received the same upgrade as the gpu, the Pro would've been an excellent system for the price, and until we see these kind of upgrades, i will ignore these worthless Pro systems.

Buy why wait? Having that hardware means spending a measly $700 on a console and $140 bucks on two games is a pittance.
Seems like getting access to the games they want to play on release is more important then waiting for a PC release, which makes sense. One of the reasons to have all the platforms, you can enjoy the content on your schedule.

Unless they are just farming for engagement and have 7 more OT's ready talking about "how consoles actually REALLY suck...this time for real, trust me bro i've owned several" etc. etc.

I am still to sour on the pc, to not get a ps6 I suppose... but I do need a new gpu. my 3080 10gb vram is DONE.
I see 5080fe in stock often but for 1330$.... ooof..... nah

I personally dont see a reason anymore to have a very good pc and a Ps6 in the future ... outside of Fomo .. if you are costumed to Pc gaming and can wait a little for Sony games.. than its a no brainer just invest in your pc. Sony is working hard this gen to devalue their hardware in my eyes. Things may change of course.
