Craigslist has a bunch of idiots that purchased 16 orders of the EVGA GTX 680 just to make a profit.. pisses me off
The victor is already out there SSAA, it just requires an insane amount of processing power.
So does it seem unlikely that these will come back in stock within the next week?

I'd use the notify option on the Evga site. Managed to snag one on Friday that'll ship out tomorrow. I cancelled my TigerDirect order which was on backorder til mid April.
I have heard early April - which means it could be another week. Just keep checking. I had the same issue when the 7970s launched - so while at work I just F5'd the NewEgg section where they're stocked and within a couple days of doing so I was able to snag one.

Except its not a victor at all. Even 8xSGSSAA can produce noticeable aliasing in motion because of the simple box filter used.
TXAA is so intriguing as it aims to do more than produce pretty still images.
You may be right but then you need better eyes than mine to notice any aliasing with 8xSGSSAA at 1600p.....
Well, this is certainly interesting.

Congratulations on the uber-rig.

Yeah, me too! Selling my 2.56 GB GTX 570 for $280 shipped, and a 1.28 GB GTX 570 for $230.
The 2.56GB GTX 570 OC's to 960/2300 stable, from 732/1900 stock.![]()

Is there any word on release date for the GTX 670? I'm probably going nVidia this round, but $500 is a bit too much for me.
Most likely Augst-Nov..
Most likely Augst-Nov..
Why is this 'most likely'?
The GTX560 and 570 were released about a month after the 580. I'm not trying to be disingenuous, but is it so odd to believe the 600 series won't follow suit?
Any word on the date and price of the 4gb 680's? I already have my main PC parts I might wait for those if they're to come out soon.

I've always wondered how heat goes with that kind of setup? Seems like those things would catch fire with the heat being generated and the lack of space in between them to get air moving. Or is that really a non-issue?

No game that exists could cause such awesome rig to overheat.
Saints Row 2 will still only get 25fps
The two cards I ordered will be here tomorrow. Unfortunately, they aren't for me.
I don't know..I kind of question it myself so I posted it here. I don't think it's a limitation of the tv's refresh rate, but more to do with hdmi spec 1.4 not having the bandwidth to do 1080p60 in 3d. It seems they intentionally left DVI inputs off, but I'm not a tech expert by any means. That'd make sense........but how could it get past the 720p60/1080p24 limitation if the display doesn't?

But.. you want them... do you?
Building my friends new machine for him. So even though I ordered them, I did so with his money.
Two badass cards for free, a win/win situation if ever I've seen one.
Blower style, it pushes the heat out the back.
How does stealing from a friend = win/win?
I don't see a whole lot of space for the blowers to be sucking air in, do they run louder than if the card was free and clear?

do what feels right.
Alright, it was a JOKE! GET OFF ME!
How in the world could you even consider that post serious?
