Donanimhaber reports in their article that the GeForce Titan would end up churning around a texture fill rate of 288 GT/s compared to 234 GT/s on the GeForce GTX 690. The card also comes with a peak computing power of 4.5 TFlops (single precision) since it carries over the powerful GK110 GPU that has been used inside the Tesla K20X workstation card. Videocardz also sheds the light on some additional technical specifications such as 2688 cores (14 SMX Units), 224 TMUs (Texture Mapping Units) and 48 ROPs (Raster Operations Units). As for the memory, the card would feature a 6 GB GDDR5 interface running along a 384-bit interface and if we assume that it runs at a 6008 MHz effective clock, than the card would pump out 288 GB/s bandwidth, however the source points out that the actual core clocks would be lower, the GPU would run at around 875 MHz mark as it was revealed inside the OpenCL database:

If I remember right 5870 was some of the worst cards to xfire.

Xfire and SLI have come a long way since then. Is it perfect? No, but its significantly better than what you are experiencing.

It's still a fundamentally broken product that's impossible to recommend.

So with Monday looking like the big day, I'm super excited to see the NVIDIA presentation at PDXLAN. I'll be bringing my DSLR with the zoom lens, hopefully I'll have some cool stuff to leak!

Damn I really hope it's not impossible to get 2 right off the bat. I think I've developed an unhealthy obsession with having to have 2 of these on day 1.

You'll have to get them from different vendors. Like the first from EVGA, the second from Newegg.

Yep, I expect it to be like 680 launch times 100. Rarer than bigfoot.

I might cry if they turn out to be that rare. Hopefully the Danish shop listing them ( Proshop ) where I usually order from will be my savior.

I'm already getting a heat stroke thinking of what these puppies can do in SLI

Rumored to only be 10K released in the first batch, similar numbers/rarity to the 690.

Well, shit. Thankfully I'm home all next week, especially Monday where I'll be sitting here refreshing anything and everything shipping to Denmark.

Saddest thing is, what I'm looking forward to the most is ditching my 2 x 3 slot GPUs so I can fit in my ASUS Xonar Essence STX again :P

Yep.

As with the last three big launches, as long as you are around, it's fairly easy to get one if you set your mind to it. There will be 1 per buyer limits though, I'm sure.

1 Per buyer? Never heard of a shop that limits purchases like that for hardware, none of the places I've got bookmarked does that. Well, EVGA's shop does and currently has a 2 per customer on the 690, I'm sure they will allow 2 Titans as well.

EVGA and Newegg both had a 1 per customer limit on the 690 on release day. It's to keep the resellers from hoarding them and then throwing them on ebay. This will be the same.
So Monday, eh? I'll be here and ready.

What are the most likely US retailers to get it?
EVGA.com and Newegg. Create an account on the former to speed up the checkout process. If you're too slow going through with it, you might end up missing out on it. The 690s sold out in 3 minutes.

Oh my.

Well...I guess we'll see. It probably makes more sense just being here and refreshing the page than waiting on an e-mail.

Fear not friend, I'll PM you details as soon as I found out when the NDA is up. I'm in full research mode on this to get the info out.

I should know a good number of hours beforehand at what time they'll be up. Best guess right now is either 12AM EST, 12AM PST, 9AM EST, or 9AM PST.

Damn it! I'm in the middle of a damn desert and my internet connection is crappy as hell sometimes. It's going to take a miracle for me to get my hands on 2 come Monday. I'll see if I can't stay at the base for over the night of the release since I get a pretty good signal over there.

Hope you'll update us in the thread, I'll be watching like a hawk.

So let's say worst case scenario, one is not able to score one on Day 1. How long will it take for a 2nd batch to be released?

I guess in comparison, I'm wondering how it went down with the 690s.

The only thing people would be able to offer here is speculation. One month? Two months? Never? Impossible to say.

Not comparable. Right now, NVIDIA is saying they will only make 10K total cards. I don't know what the first run of 690s was, but I know that far more than 10K cards have been sold.

Additionally, they used a more common GK104 chip, whilst the Titan is using the GK110, which is being used on Tesla cards.

So, it's all a combination of how many of those chips are slated for what card, and how many of them they have ordered, how many have been binned to be good enough for Titan, etc etc etc.

Using the comparison doesn't get you anywhere except for possible false hopes.

Keep us posted on any info you find out. I have to be at work at 6am PST on Monday, so I think I may be screwed completely to get one or two of these. But if it at midnight PST, then I might have a chance. I was one of the poor saps F5'ng evga.com on the 690 and DID NOT SCORE one, so I am not going to hold my breath on this thing.

I'm surprised at the amount of people here that wants to buy one, considering the initial backlash on the price.

It's a shame specialguy is banned, I wanted to see him rage completely.

I want to get one I really do but then I dont want to be burnt by the performance HOPEFULLY we will see reviews before launch.

I have all my info on a template ready to be copied and pasted into all the fields just in case my saved addresses and debit card don't show up in them and I already got the okay to stay on base for Monday's release which will be in the evening for me.... I just had to take someone's 24 hour duty :(.

I wonder if they 900D's release will coincide with the Titan. I hope so. I'm sure that tower will stayed sold out for a while.

That was written before the 600 series. Our SLI performance is fantastic now, if I do say so myself :) Almost always there's a profile ready at a game's launch, and if there's any kind of issue we fix it ASAP and release the profile via NVIDIA Update or GeForce Experience.

I am glad to hear that as I am going to grab another 680 4gb for some nice Crysis 3 action here real soon :)
