I cannot believe Huber is going to win the bet with Kyle Bosman.
You may have a good point. WiiU was Nintendo's dreamcast confirmed.
Wow Nintendo just broke hearts in a way no other console maker EVER HAS IN THE HISTORY OF GAMING. Lets see what they have up their sleeve...there has to be something up there right?
If they actually want to make money and sell this console they need to release it near the holidays. Making a system that only hardcore Nintendo fans will buy worked out great for them with wii u. As another poster said, way to miss releasing this holiday with all the major 3rd party games coming out as well. Just a terrible decision all around. It's 3 months after Christmas it's a honorific time to launch anything only people who will buy it are the hard cores.
Ill keep repeating myself.
The NX will be the base of their business for the next 10 years. If it isn't ready, it isn't ready.
Why do people keep putting everything into E3, like it's the only way to announce hardware or games.
It's the same silly mentality when they announced no more stage shows. They will have no presence at E3! They are giving up!
Did they ever say that they won't show NX games at E3?
Nintendo... Please... Just fire your entire marketing department. This is suicide and 100% guarantees that NX will flop out of the gate.
Maybe that's Kimishima's plan. Have NX flop to justify going 100% mobile. All that I can safely say is that he's the worst CEO the company has ever had. Calling it now: Nintendo will only release mobile games in 2018.
Guys, this thing is not coming in March.
I could bet right now that there will be no concrete news by the end of the year. They will just announce another delay, focus somewhat on mobile, release the first info on Jan/Feb, do the full blowout during E3 next year and release it November 2017.
Y'all realise the 'E3 will focus on Zelda' doesn't mean 'We will have Zelda there and nothing else, right? Right??
In that case I'll seriously end up skipping Nintendo's presentation this year...god damn. I've already seen enough of Zelda.
For the new page.
Something else too is that I imagine Kimishima is having to do more than we think behind the scenes. He's business and likely shifting everything. Reggie also spoke about this being a transitioning time for Nintendo as well. New buildings, restructuring, merging software and hardware divisions, getting into mobile. This is still transition for Nintendo and to the NX that been going on for the past 3 or so years now. Not something only said last year by Reggie.
Also don't forget the rumors about the NX is likely getting ports of the 4 best Wii U games. They've been shifting for awhile due to how terrible the Wii U has been doing and from other things looking to standardize. I'm curious about the specs and what Nikkei said.
But the Wii U Zelda is confirmed for it, it doesn't make much sense for it to be just a handheld
Exactly.Ill keep repeating myself.

LOL.
Seriously wtf nintendo.
sounds like they will do a full unveil at an event like Sony did with the PS4
from Nikkei:
任天堂は27日、新型ゲーム機「NX」を2017年3月に国内外で発売すると発表した。特徴や価格、同時発売するソフトのラインアップなどの詳細は年内にも発表するとしている。
the features/specs and price of NX as well as details about the launch games will be unveiled this year.

The bolded is my biggest problem. If it's not ready...what the fuck have they been doing behind the scenes for at least the last three years? Releasing a handful of truly good games for a console that they severely fucked up several aspects of - great.
This is what it has seemed to come down to with Nintendo for me over the last six years. Third party support? Please understand. Delay after delay? Please understand. Crap VC and online infrastructure? Please understand. Limited and halfbaked support for the pad screen on Wii U, the centre piece of its USP? Please understand.
I love Nintendo. I owned a Super NES. I owned a GameCube. I owned a Wii. I support their great titles when they come but in the end it felt like it was like getting blood from a stone and I just walked away. I admired them from afar but Jesus, their attitude makes it so hard to continue being hyped for their products
I feel the need to quote this back to the newer pages. Might be Space World revived.

A perfect storm of major organizational overhaul, underperformance of the Wii U, Iwata's untimely passing, cautious exploration of a mobile strategy at a very disruptive time in the industry, and the normal difficulties involved in a generational transition could very well have snowballed into a major interruption of the software production line and a first-party drought even worse than what we usually see at the end of a system's life. Even the 3DS first-party calendar has been a conspicuous blank: the game plan after Fire Emblem Fates was a whole lot of nothing other than a dead-on-arrival Metroid spinoff that never had a chance in Japan independent of any controversy, with Game Freak holding the fort with Sun/Moon.
Nintendo was set for a collision course with a major, catastrophic interruption of business, and it seems their strategy is to soak the damage all at once and recover in a big way on their own terms, rather than suffering through it with a cadaverous drip of software that wouldn't exactly qualify as momentum.
2017 NX and 2017 Zelda?
Wii U is officially dead as a doornail by that time.
Also, no NX at E3? What a mess.
I feel the need to quote this back to the newer pages. Might be Space World revived.
Everybody will cool off. E3 is not the end all in this age. Sony did its own event and Ms did too. Nintendo already confirmed they're revealing it later this year so they'll probably do their own event. Most likely They'll have their own big event with plenty of reveals which wouldn't be ready in time for e3. People freaking out because they think only e3 can be used as a platform for these type of reveals.
Ill keep repeating myself.

NX: Nintendo previously announced that it would release more information about its next system, code-named NX, this year. As the first announcement of any NX information, Nintendo confirmed that NX is scheduled to launch in March 2017. NX will not make an appearance at the upcoming E3 video game trade show in Los Angeles in June and will be unveiled later this year.
The Legend of Zelda: The latest instalment in this classic series is scheduled to launch simultaneously for both Wii U and NX, and both versions of the game have been in development in tandem. Because the developers need more time to polish the game, it will launch in 2017, but it will be the focus of Nintendos presence at E3.
E3: Nintendo changes its approach to the show every year. This June, Nintendo will focus its attentions on the upcoming game in The Legend of Zelda series. The Wii U version of the game will be playable for the first time on the E3 show floor, and it will be the only playable game Nintendo presents at the show, in order to provide attendees a complete immersion. Additional information about Nintendos E3 plans will be announced in the future.
Saw it coming. So much for a 3.whatever year lifespan for WiiU.
I suggested this might happen a few times but people really shouted it down. I especially thought the 3DS wouldn't get replaced until a normal end of a cycle, being 6 years or so. And this seems to confirm both predictions.
Next I think we find out in a year that Zelda WiiU is for WiiU and ain't coming to the NX as a port or anything other than backwards compat. Rumors been wrong as hell about the NX man.![]()

Why do you do this? I was already depressed, now I want to cry, being a Nintendo fan has never been more depressingGuys, this thing is not coming in March.
