Pro Wrestling is awesome.

I wouldn't be surprised that japan pro wrestling was good, it's just WWE and TNA (if that still exit) that gets to me.

That was cool as hell.

I really need to try to get back into WWE. AJ Styles is in my top five favorite wrestlers and I recently found out he's been WWE champ? Holy moly.

Lol god fucking damn it. I was trying to not spoil Smackdown for myself by reading results or going into the Wrasslin OT. Won't be able to watch it until tomorrow or Thursday.

Thanks for the thread title OP...

God damn it. I was waiting till tomorrow. I can't even go into off topic. What the hell? Don't we have a Wrestlemania week thread???

WWE has gotten a lot better in recent years in terms of actual in-ring talent. They still fill 50-75% of the show with the soap opera, comic booky bullshit and bad monologues but there's actually some damn good wrestling going on these days.

Check out their NXT promotion PPVs. Matches like Sami Zayn vs. Nakamura or Revival vs. DIY are what got a lapsed fan like me back into wrestling.

That was the same entrance he had at the Takeover before what Summerslam? Same Violinist too. Dude was way worse this time as well, all I heard was screaches. It's like he forgot how to play the thing.

The zoom on the guy bored in the crowd and the quick cut when they realize it was funny as hell too. Did a plant forget their cue?

Like seriously, why was this guy zoomed in on?

The Violinist is amazing! Apparently those screaches that you are complaining about is some elite level playing. This is the top comment on the reddit thread for the entrance. "I just wanna say this about the violinist because I don't know how many people would know. That last note he hits a is a virtuoso note that only the best players can hit. Every time I hear him play that note my mouth hits the floor."

Oh, and yeah, WWE is beyond terrible with their crowd cuts. Not only do they do them way too often, but most of the time they cut to someone just standing there. It makes no sense.

He sounded better at takeover. Maybe it's due to the environment he's playing in being ass.

Then again last time was in an arena too so I don't know.

The playing was very loose. I get it's about emotion but I like the female Japanese player that does covers of his themes better.

Uh, okay...

Like I don't even know what this means. HHH's boys don't do kick off shows.
It's Nakamura. He's not going to be anything but main event level for a while just on reactions alone.

If you're not familiar with wrestling I'd understand that point of view though. But Nakamura has never been on the level of someone like Sami Zayn who is great but treated like a geek. He's been presented as a legit superstar since the second they brought him over.

Smackdown is broadcast 1am-3am here in the UK. At least give us a chance to wake up before throwing a huge spoiler in the thread title.

Likely the same people who think Styles was being punished by wrestling Shane.

The juxtaposition of a Miz comedy bit - probably the corniest stuff the WWE has right now - with a Nakamura entrance - probably the closest thing WWE has right now to resembling actual cool - is amazing. Flawless.

It's a live show I don't think it's fair to level complaints at OP. This forum has loads of wwe news threads as well, don't think op did anything wrong.

I'd have to agree with your reaction.

Luckily I avoided GAF from the point RAW started Live until Smackdown was finished for I knew that people would spoil it. Such a shame for it was truly spoiled for you and everyone else in the same boat. Once you went on GAF there was no way you could have avoided it since the OP put the spoiler right in the title. Damn, it was such a joyful moment when he debuted too for all the rumours was pointing Shinsuke to RAW (disastrous mistake and the same to Asuka if they attempted to put her there) and HHH was fighting Vince hard to get him onto Smackdown, a moment you sadly missed.

For shame, OP. For shame... A little more tact next time. No, it doesn't have to go in the Wrestlemania thread for that thread is pages forever long, but please be careful the way you present such important info.

I was trying so hard not to see any news about wrestling until tomorrow when I could actually watch it, oh well.

Yeah, I'm super glad I managed to get this far into SmackDown this morning before leaving for work or the surprise would have been ruined. ;(

Same goes for the thread about The Undertaker retiring. Was there really any need for that so quickly when it basically gave away the end of that match? There should be some ground rules for this next year.

Funny, I just watched this match. That move looks so dangerous, how does he do it.

AJ STYLE vs NAKAMURA's match was epic as F**K! It was held as Match of the Year and put both AJ Styles and Nakamura to the height of everything.

Now, everyone must hope and pray like no tomorrow for AJ Styles NOT to go to RAW, especially as both Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles (along with Jim Ross, Stone Cold and tonnes of other top name people) want to do a Wrestle Kingdom 10 feud rematch. They want to do a true Wrestlemania delivery. Man, I seriously hope everyone realise how insane that feud will be... It will be insane!

If I can wish anything to make that feud even more epic, I want them to Main Event the next Wrestlemania (or at least Summer Slam) for the WWE Championships (one that AJ must win) and - a person can dream - AJ Styles uses his I AM I AM persona (please keep the hair but get it done by an Asian hair stylist like when he was here in Japan) complete with his original awesome I am I am theme song and the debut of his ultimate finisher, Spinal Tap. of course, the Spinal Tap must only be used on selected individuals and key big event moments:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27HrE9vHGMM - "I AM" persona
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4X5OeC34eM - Ultimate finisher, "Spinal Tap"

Oh. I hope Corey Graves moves to Smackdown so he calls everyone's of AJs and Shinsuke's matches along with Mauro Ranallo. Those guys are great together. JBL and everyone else beside Tom Philips can move to RAW.
