Counterpoint: How can a city be cursed if nobody there cares?
They dug their own graves by not selling out playoff games during the Braves' run :þ
Counterpoint: How can a city be cursed if nobody there cares?
Never heard of the Blackhawks either I take it.
We counted every season since 1965 in the four major sports. We realize some fans would argue for including Major League Soccer, but it has attracted substantially less fan interest by most measures than baseball, basketball, football or hockey.
I like all the teams a lot, and as just sports I like football and basketball better. But I was born and raised in Worcester County so the Sox are not sports they are religion, that shit runs in the blood.Agreed. I don't care in the least about the Patriots. The Celtics and Bruins are alright I suppose. But, I would trade them all away for the championships for the Red Sox. Those are all that matter to me <3
The struggle is real :þ
I knew the Devils didn't, but NYC doesn't claim the Islanders? Never knew that. Still, NYR won one in the 90s so he's still wrong.
Loooooooool. Someone doesn't watch hockey. Most people don't consider islanders an NYC team.Eh? I count five Stanley Cups for NYC since 1980.
But we counted the Green Bay Packers as part of Milwaukee and the Golden State Warriors as part of both Oakland and San Francisco; by any standard, the Packers are Milwaukee's football team, and the Warriors are the entire Bay Area's basketball team.

Don't give up Kave you're the leader of BrownsGaf!not from Cleveland and I still ended up picking Cleveland by mistake.
The shame circle is real y'all.
So that's why Milwaukee isn't on there.
<-----Cleveland sports fan
The Browns are winning the Super Bowl this season! YOU'LL SEE! I'm betting on it!
So that's why Milwaukee isn't on there.
i didn't notice that at first. Had they not counted the Packers, Milwaukee would be top 5.
bro the cleveland curse is real, dont try and knock it
Milwaukee by itself is definitely worth putting on that list.
Time for Cleveland to step down off this list!
Hard work on 3!
Together on 6!
I'd take a World Series win or a Super Bowl win over a Finals win.Thing is, a Cavs win in the Finals might not even move them at all, certainly not out of the top 5.
DC area resident here.
I feel the pain. Sometimes I wish I didn't follow any sports team from this god damned city. Nothing but heartbreaks.
When will MLS crack into the "4 Major Sports" and make it the "5 Major Sports"?
When will MLS crack into the "4 Major Sports" and make it the "5 Major Sports"?
Where is game 7 going to be if it gets that far?

I'd take a World Series win or a Super Bowl win over a Finals win.
I feel stupid asking this as a Wisconsin sports fan but how many professional sports teams does Milwaukee have? I'm only aware of the Bucks and Brewers.
We also keep losing NHL teams to central Canada...
Two recent Super Bowls is enough to overshadow alllllllll the suckage in every other sport.New York City isn't up there with the worst? Aside from the Yankees and Giants, everyone here suuuuuuuuucks at winning titles. No NBA, no NHL, no MLS, no NCAA men's or women's titles, no WNBA, no nothing.
Objectively cursed cities are the worst!
Yes it's wonderful place, Prosperity in the Cleve. Also, Cleveland is still Cleveland, sports curse or not.
They're a long way away. If anything, Liga MX is the fifth major North American Sports League.
Based on their own metrics, I don't see how San Diego isn't number 2.
Also Houston should be higher because Jordan was playing Baseball during the city's only championships.
