People praying over Trump

Look at the dude right in front of Trump (Bannon?) and the guy to the right of him. You can't possibly take those expressionsseriously. It looks incinsere, like a terrible B-movie actor performance.

No satire or parody can ever top this. I can barely believe this is real.

A lot of media here in Europe is pretty much stuck in 'completely baffled' mode it seems. I kinda wonder what could topple Teflon Trump. Mofo just shrugs everything off.

make paul ryan scared enough that he thinks he won't get tax cuts without impeaching trump, and trump is gone

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

My son Donald did a good job last night. He was open, transparent and innocent. This is the greatest Witch Hunt in political history. Sad!

For anyone unfamiliar with being in a church, laying of hands just means they're doing a pretty personal form of prayer for him. It has nothing to do with worshipping Trump or indicating that he's superior or something. It's not a sieg hell.

It's another example of the separation of church and state being broken down but it's no different than any other time someone had prayed with a president.

Might want to watermark that before the daily show see it (I'm only being half serious).

Would lol if a gaf joke became the defining image of his downfall.

As in, it's the best witch hunt in political history? Breaking news: Trump throws spawn under the bus to save himself.

Not all churches do this, and doing it for someone who isn't very sick is *extremely* fucking weird from a UK perspective. You really don't see this in European Christian churches.

(The notion of a PM doing this would have them out of office so fast their feet wouldn't touch the ground).

Laying of hands is a fairly common thing in Christianity, guys. It's not that weird.

Not in this context. In this context is definitely weird. Because it's abusing religion for one's image. This is the same Trump who use the national prayer breakfast to go on a rant in his speech.

Well, this is definitely a habit I would demand presidents stop if I ever get to be god.

Ironic thing is that that this is also at a Prayer Breakfast, just a Easter one.

Trump is mentally sick.

Growing up in a black church, laying of hands during prayer happened every Sunday and Wednesday, and often multiple times during the same service.

I'm used to it, but it's still fucking weird, compounded by seeing it outside of a church/religious setting.

This is embarassing, and also kind of hammers home the idea that his supporters are in a cult-like state of delusion. It literally doesn't matter what he does because they've put so much into him. They've invested so much and bet so much on this guy at this point that they refuse to see that he could be a failure.

I don't really get excited whenever I see any new allegations or evidence at this point. Facts don't matter any more. Even if you can prove that treason or any other impeachable offense is being committed, it won't matter. People can only be convinced by charismatic individuals who can lie with such conviction that you can't even doubt them for a moment.
