Is that photo with people praying with Trump real? Never seen something like this before. Trump with not a religious bone in his body is being prayed for? Do they know someone is going down?

And of course you got that zealot Pence there.

So if they don't put their hands on him, their prayers won't work?

You don't "understand", it's a very personal prayer. He made a pact with the devil enemy to win, selling his son and son-in-law in the process and everybody must pray for him to go over this difficult time in his life because he doesn't deserve all this witch hunt that happens to him. He's innocent, God is just using him to send a message to America:
Are you fucking blind?

Growing up in a black church, laying of hands during prayer happened every Sunday and Wednesday, and often multiple times during the same service.

I'm used to it, but it's still fucking weird, compounded by seeing it outside of a church/religious setting.

Its a little odd, my experience of Church was the Priest was the only one to lay hands on you (no nobody go there!), the only time I've ever seen an entire congregation do something on a kin with this was during times of extreme tragedy, like when my friend lost her mum at a young age due to cancer.
Doing this in a political scenario particularly with this politician and how his followers are viewed like a cult, is just so so weird, it feeds into that massively.

I keep a die hard Trump supporting 'friend' on facebook, purely to look down the rabbit hole on mental gymnastics and right now, he's on over drive with prayer posts and posts about 'mudslime' Hussain (Obama) and crooked Hillary being worse, he even used the phrase messiah when talking about how Trump has saved America....

the racism and lunacy is off the charts, there was a post the other day on his facebook about how melania had 4 aids, Michelle O had 20 something and the top comment was that even with 20 aids they couldn't make her look human! even a Republican pulled them up on how that was racist and was dogpiled for being a Liberal plant and not everything is racism.
I'm at the point where I don't want to look down the rabbit hole, I want it filling in and burying in a far off place

Laying of hands is a fairly common thing in Christianity, guys. It's not that weird.

It certainly looks weird.

Excessively, needlessly, dramatic. More so considering everyone in that circle doesn't really care about the person they're laying hands on, beyond the security of their personal meal ticket. And Donald is too deluded to pick up on that.

He always says its a witch hunt when its something he doesn't like or agree with it. And totally innocent and transparent huh? Not so transparent when you won't even show your taxes even though you promised you would.

And he only released these email's because the NYT was about to.

if approval numbers dip to the 20s then maybe

if the base still backs him and he stays mid/upper 30s or so then nah

His core base won't waver, so he'll bottom out at low/mid 30's. WaPo: Tested by the many chapters of the Russia story, Republicans stand by Trump
That answer probably rang true with Republican voters, for whom the Russia story has been a consistent bust. The Gallup Poll’s tracker has found Trump’s approval among Republicans steady, since February, at 85 percent. Last week, before the new email was revealed, an NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll found 73 percent of Republicans unwilling to believe that the president had colluded with Russia; just 4 percent said he might have done so illegally.

“The president is playing a very narrow game right now, in which he’s just speaking to the Republican base — in particular, his base,” said Evan McMullin, a former House Republican staffer who waged an anti-Trump 2016 bid for president. “He’s acting, leading and speaking for them. If you’re trying to maintain a hardcore base of 35 percent support, it’s not actually that difficult. At least for a little while.”

So, how damning is this? Enough to get out of the White House in due haste? I hope so.

I think the moment we see GOP tear away from Trump is when they start losing house/senate seats. And maybe when Mueller releases his findings.

Maybe if his approval ratings dips into the 20s, maybe.

Other then that sad to say they aren't going anywhere.

Never seen any evidence whatsoever that for the opposite.

A lawyer representing his client screams nothing happened.

Well, there is some in here and he says himself he is religious, so there is that, which usually is absolutely sufficient to assume it is true. Considering in addition, that relgiousness is the absolute norm in the US, I see absolutely no reason to doubt this, when at the same time I see lots of posters claiming he is not relgious as a fact.
Also, he seems quite fond of both corinthians.

This is the biggest thing to keep in mind. It's not a matter of what evidence is brought up. It's a matter of what his popularity is.

With every American its pretty bad. But with the GOP he is still at 85%, blows my mind really.

In all honesty, we're still at the stage where people saying Trump shouldn't be in his position would mean saying they voted wrong. It'll take time for that popularity to chip away with healthcare honestly being more likely to do damage than the entire Russia case.

They'll waver if this strategy continues.

This is really only a way of trying to slow the rot to a crawl. Polls suggest he's losing people who strongly approve of him (they still approve though, but it indicates that even his base isn't immune)/ Once they lose a bunch of seats in the midterms, the faithful will start losing faith a lot quicker.

I'd 'hope' that (using terms very loosely here) that the 85% is mainly due to wanting a republican in power who will undo the black man's work, not a Dem and not because they actually approve of their leader being a stooge of Russia aka communists, who are second only to black people in the republican shit list it seems

Nah, that's just what group prayer looks like. (and this motherfucker is NOT religious)

Since you are stating this for a fact, please tell me what leads to this hard claim. I actually think it is quite offensive to claim people believe something or don't believe something contrary to their own statement (without any proof that is).
