Gore didn't want Bill and Reagan was far too sick already to be helping Bush. The rest were either unpopular or one term Presidents for a long time - all the way back to Eisenhower?

According to Wikipedia, Eisenhower stayed out of the 1960 race until the last 10 days too. Nixon didn't use Eisenhower and Eisenhower didn't like Nixon.

Honestly, I think TR campaigning for Taft was the last time an outgoing popular president campaigned for his successor.

considering Truman wasn't popular in 52, FDR was died in office, and Wilson had suffered a stroke, the only other option would be Coolidge campaigning for Hoover

And with that, this really should be the end. I know Bernie's campaign has been about not wavering against odds. But its at this point that he should really consider, instead of carrying on, carrying his supporters to her side.

Call it lesser of two evils if you want, and that may be true, but Hillary is so much lesser an evil than Trump. Thats hard to deny.

And for Hillary supporters. You should really do your part in helping Bernie supporters in that cause as well. Dont shout them down. Dont alienate them. Dont treat them with passive aggressive behavior, even though they might. The goal now is stopping Trump. That needs to be a common goal.
