Oblivion delayed Two weeks? Kittens am cry.

thats ok, i'll be playing guitar hero to kill the time between buying the system and having a game for it

With a game like this, I'm happy its only two weeks. I just hope they don't release it before its done. I would be fine waiting until Dec-Jan if it meant a more complete game.

I really don't care how long they delay it as long as it's out when it's DONE. Fine tune all they need. I'm impatient, but I always opt for a complete package. The game won't really get any worse over a few months or a year.

That's an interesting point. This may be the first decent RPG at a console launch window....thingy. From Beyond the Beyond to Eternal Ring, they've sucked. Here's hoping for an exception to the rule.

Hence the advantage to having a platform in which is easy to bring your PC project to.

Guys, I'm sure you want them to delay it. There has to be a reason it's being delayed. You don't want some glaring bug in your face while you play, right?

Am I right?

;)

Like the only unicorn in the game being killed by it's Guardian Minotaur, like mentioned in EGM? :lol

I sometimes really hate the fall to holiday season deluge, too many games to buy, not enough money or time to play them all.

they are delaying it because they forgot to bump map all the fonts

I figured the QC group would find that out after I saw the screenshots. Don't mention the hud though, that could delay it another 2 weeks.

If its to iron out bugs then more power to them. Heck, I hope they take another month or two if they need it. I don't want anything ruining the game for me.

Could be worse, like a Spring release.

But as much as it is disapointing-the game was sorta caught in the middle between PGR3,Kameo,and PDO's play time. Oblivion is one of those games that demands an enormous amount of play-so maybe its better that it is delayed a few weeks after launch.

Does that make sense? It does for me anyway.

Uh, shouldn't we wait for something more official?
There has, as far as I know, never been an officially announced date. We've heard lots and lots of 'will be available for launch', but that can mean within the launch window which comes out to like a 2-3 month spread.

At this point... I would like an official date to begin with. :: Shurgs :: And as much as I want this game to be what my Xbox 360 loses its gaming virginity too, I can wait for a less bug riddled version.

fuck's sake. better late than buggy, but what am i supposed to play at launch now? i'm not convinced rr6 will make it.

This is GOOD news. Given that two weeks extra time, hopefully I can pony up the dosh to pick this title up. Too many good games on launch.

With Bethesda's track record there's gonna be a glarying bug or two regardless.

I always had a feeling it wouldn't make day one.

The only thing that will make me mad is the game not making 2005.

oh my god, there are so few games around december, i don't know _what_ i'll do to fill this gap .... *panic* ;)

A game is only ever "late" for a while, once the game is out people will forget that it was late if it's good; release it incomplete and a mess and it'll _always_ be like that.

Just delay it until it is DONE.

Quit complaining... There will be plenty to do:

This will give them the time needed to insert the GIANT ZOMBIE DRAGONS that they've been harping about so much, right? RIGHT?

Of course.

Bethesda hasn't said anything yet of the release date. I wouldn't put too much trust in what Gamestop / EB Games says anyway. I even asked the Manager at Gamestop today about it, and he said that the release date could possibly change 2 or 3 times before the 360 comes out. I would like Oblivion to make Launch, but if a delay is only 2 weeks, and it polishes the Game more, and makes it better... so be it.

Morrowind was very buggy. They need to tak all the time they need or it could sink the game.
QFT

Floating characters that eventually slid into walls, black map screens that wouldn't load up, corrupt save files, slide show and crashing towards the end of the game...I hit ALL the bugs. And yet, I played through that game twice. I even had to set a play schedule up with my wife because we were both so addicted.

Point is, I'm bummed at the delay (if true). Big time. But if they can cut the bug list down from what happened with Morrowind, then take the two weeks.

Hope they fix the framerate. Please dear god, I know you guys are reading this. Awesome game, but fix the framerate.
