care to give some context for the picture, Cooljeanius?

Is that in New York? Boston? LA? What area?
Yeah, I asked the people who posted that picture originally for some context, too, but I didn't feel like waiting around for them to get back to me before reposting it...

anyone dismissing the original intent behind this to begin with is probably an idiot, or possibly a billionaire afraid that somehow the rest of the country is going to impose on their lifestyle by reducing their quarterly raises by 30%.

there's no reason to not be for this. at all. let's get this straight. People fucked up, and they need to be held accountable. not everyone else.

That sign looks screen-printed onto 180gsm stock, possibility for "assembly-line" produced signs!! where is your god now Manos?
Hey I have no problem like that. It's nice to see competent people starting to participate. Now actual change can occur.

I would like to see more of the milfy bottom 99.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here, but without American involvement there surely would be one Korea--united under the rule of Kim Jong-il. Kim Il-sung had the backing of Stalin and Mao.

Not that we'll get back into it, but I wasn't talking about or against American involvement, but how far the leadership was willing to go before they sent men in.

Wonder if there is anything going on in Portland, the hippie mecca! Seriously, there's gotta be something going on, there's protests for shit ALL the time. A flash mob protest happened across the street from my house a few weeks ago. Might check it out this weekend if anything cool is happening.
I've seen signs for something on 10/6.

I find some similarity between these protests and one that was held at my university recently in opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline.

Most (if not all) of the protesters involved are opposed because of purported environmental damage, from the energy and water intensive collection of bitumen in Alberta to the potential for devastating leaks along the thousands of kilometers of planned pipeline. Few of them who I spoke to understand reality of energy demand, including the limitations of renewable energy, and the integral role that fossil fuels have in our economy and will continue to have for the foreseeable future.

The thing is, they have every right to protest, and I can't see belittling their effort just because they they are unfocused and largely ignorant of energy issues apart from the environmental impacts. Let them protest and voice their opposition to official plans. While their perspective is lacking, it is still more constructive than sitting at home and finding every little ounce of wrong with what protesters are doing.

I've heard an opposing theory.

Without American involvement, the country would've collapsed in its own civil war and we'd have been surprised to see other people NOT trying to take out Il-sung when the country fell into complete chaos.

That's certainly possible, but consider how easily Kim Il-sung's army (completely superior to the South's) overran the entire peninsula until U.S. and UN troops entered the fray--and that was even before the Chinese had supplied the North Koreans any direct military support. There are a thousand what-if scenarios, but Occam's razor compels me to select just the one.

I don't want to be like Manos and make sweeping generalizations about an entire movement based on just a single satellite photo of thousands of people or nothing, but it looks to me like the hippie movement is growing. Wonder if the guys up in the ISS can smell the stink mmmmhurrrderp!

What the fuck is a google?
lol, what "is a google"

And fuck you guys for making fun of someone for not knowing some random actor. Some of us have lives in the real world or have to study for school. I'm taking geometry and physical science this year and don't have time to just watch tv. What are you doing besides playing on your xboxes or cluttering your brains with pop culture?

He's one of the very topmost recognizable and popular actors on the planet.

Holy shit, this is too good to be true. Physical science, for serious? For serious for serious?

This is better than anything on tv right now.

*grabs popcorn*

I'm sure mre is just trolling. He's not a high school student, for one, so I'm sure he's not taking physical science and geometry courses.

Wow, how can someone manage to not know who Will Smith is? I mean, his face has been EVERYWHERE the last 10 years.

Also, I wish good luck to the Occupy Wall Street guys. Some of the goals are admirable, now that they have goals.

I am still on the "make an effort to look serious to be taken seriously" side though.

Maybe someone needs to post a "why you mad.gif" at you. Maybe one with Einstein in it so the rest of us can laugh at YOU. And what's wrong with physical science? My teacher has her masters in physics and really expects a lot out of us.

You're ruining everything! GAF needs MRE right now!!!

MRE, I respect it, man. Good idea, the Will Smith Parlay, I'm going to start calling that move.

Kind of a weak troll, try and inject more rage next time so at least it's funny.
