I like you ghst, but there's enough salt in this post to last every McDonalds fry station in the world through 2015.

I had to perpetuate a tired meme, but I can't find a more fitting rebuttal:

u jelly?
no, i correct. i'd be sure to bring the pain down on anyone talking about any period collection of english politicians should they be brought up with such nauseating, doe-eyed reverence, too.

Apparently Wall Street stole Fitty's skull.

You should be standing next to them promoting a more cogent and respectable discourse. How dare you just make fun of them on the internet.

About time.

I don't get the people rooting for it to fail, unless they work for Wall Street.

You'd be surprised at how many of us slept through 2008. I think the worldwide depression is starting to wake some folks up, though. Think it will be too little too late. The government is run by a revolving door of ex-Wall Street guys and gals having lunch with lobbyist buddies from their old firms. Twenty thousand Deadheads camped out in The Big City is probably little more than a laughable bleep on their radar.

seems like a lot of them are more concerned about being circlejerky and impressing other protesters instead of getting a message out to, well, outsiders

its cute but it doesnt make me want to take them seriously at all

Yeah, that's the truth.

Using Che, how charming!

I also came across a bunch of people on iPhones and Smartphones which is sort of funny for protesting Capitalism, because it's not like Steve Jobs was running a charity.

I think someone is overvaluing people's desire to see social justice and what they'll tolerate for it.

So does that means it's free?

That said lets end on a positive note. I'm not hating on flipping of LaRouche people.

Aron the Pieman Kay (a long time advocate for the legalization of Marijuana) gives "the finger" to a group of Lyndon Larouche followers at the September 17th Occupy Wall Street rally.

Larouche, a former communist often poses as an American progressive, thus the photo of Roosevelt, is actually a quasi fascist and a Holocaust denier who leads a cult like organization similar to the Scientologists. Kay, who is Jewish, was expressing his displeasure over their attempts to hide their anti-semitic agenda behind liberal American icons like FDR and Lincoln

Been in meetings all day. Did what's his name ever come back to the thread and answer my question?

haha, check out the very end. Look at the chicks smile. The self-satisfaction is too much for me, and I've been going to bat for them in this thread.

I'm not sure how you saying there is no such thing as middle class investors is relevant to your attempt to backpedal here. But ok.
He was saying that lower capital gains rates will help middle class investors. I pointed out the very small number of middle-class investors. You brought up an investment that some middle class people have, but isn't affected by capital gains. How is that backpedaling?

oh, so there are in fact middle class investors?

That said the same thing about there hash tags not trending and it wasn't true. Seems more likely they're having server issues on their side. I can't imagine Yahoo would waste their time on these goofs.

Remember most the of stuff on Twitter is bullshit.

I can imagine their diaries.

"Day two of the revolution:

These sheeple will just not wake up! Nevertheless, we continue the fight. After a strategy meeting in the starbucks we descended on the Federal building. It was glorious as we all stood there occupying a whole step. A few business yes men had to walk around us. But I'm pretty sure they were afraid. This is hard work. But revolution is never easy. Need more chalk."

why do you spend so much time and energy just to minimize an entire group of people? i don't get it.

you're either generalizing and stereotyping to an extreme level or you have beef with the issue at hand or internet memes (the only 2 characteristics that would encompass the entire group of people).

Manos: Are you against the right for people to protest?
I can answer - No. I'm also not against the right of people to laugh at people who are protesting.

That's a bit odd for Yahoo to go to all the effort to do. I would think it's far more likely the link got listed as a phising/scam/etc by mistake. Seems a bit overkill for at this point a non event.

“If I did ‘Blazing Saddles II,’ I’d have to clean it up, so I wouldn’t do it,’’ he says. “I’ve never been socially or politically correct. Those things are boring. . . . I like truth tellers. I don’t know. It should have gone the other way, but . . . it went from out there to more conservative. . . . It was like liberals were backtracking. Liberals were treading on their own toes. Liberals were saying, ‘You can’t say those words.’ The purpose of comedy is to hurt feelings. You have to hurt feelings. If you just massage people’s feelings, you may as well write straight, you shouldn’t write comedy.’’

Of course there are some, but the wealthiest 10% of Americans own the broad majority of investments. At least 80%, probably close to 90% if you ignore 401ks

So now they exist (they didn't before) and we're making up numbers out of thin air? Awesome.

You could have just gone with "yo dawg, I was just exaggerating". But you had to keep digging.

God yes. In fact, they should just get rid of the whole First Amendment. If I end up taking another bar exam, then it sure would be a hell of a lot easier to just skip right on over all that useless First Amendment shit they insisted I know.

I was going off of 2007 numbers and assume there are even less today since it counted real estate and so many people lost pensions since then.

Nice try on trying to put words in mouth. There aren't any "middle class investors" and tax cuts for "middle class investors" as a solution for anything us just a bullshit ploy no matter how hard you want to believe otherwise.

I'm going to make a slippery slope argument here: why don't they just get rid of all the amendments to the Constitution? Or why not just get rid of the Constitution in its entirety? Then bar exams would be ridiculously easy and you wouldn't even have to bother going to law school.

That, my friend, is a slippery slope and a poor argumentative technique.

That's not a right, is it?

You're like a bunch of 13 year old boys, except with less general knowledge.

Manos: That is a picture of a skull made by the artist Damien Hirst. And no it doesn't have any direct meaning to the bankers of Wall Street, it is just a very striking image.

The fact you view it as a reference to a pop star tells a me a lot about your lack of general knowledge and education.

You should really gain some education if you wish to joke about people who you perceive as idiots.

The fact you have no sense of humor is pretty sad and couldn't pick up a reference to 50 Cent Blood in the Sand and the jokes about his Diamond Encrusted Skull!

We know you are dumb. You understand pop culture references and memes. You have no general knowledge outside of computer games and crap you've read on the internet, you are as bad as some of the protestors you complain about.

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but you are one of them.

Last question, what is funny about the sign "sex workers against capitalism" ?

Is this a real question?

Is this?

LOL

Did you really think I thought that picture was a reference to 50 Cent? As you yourself said it has no connection to Wall Street, so I'm not missing a deeper meaning or interpretation. He put it there because he thought it was cool, not for some interpretation. I like how you think it gives you insight in to suggesting that I have no knowledge outside of memes or games.

That said, it's sad when a person can't accept or deal with satire or humor because it makes fun of their politics.

I really feel bad for you.
