October Wrasslin' Thread

Nice, nine whole posts for Raw. I'm waiting for a week where no one posts at all. I literally fell asleep during the Kane/Henry v. Mysterio/Hardy match. Four guys I couldn't care less about (sorry, Matt, it's mostly how you're booked).

- Super lolz @ Beth botching both the slap and the slam on Knoxville. The grazing slap already had me lollin and the slam was icing on the cake.

- I miss Kelly Kelly's chaps outfit. I'm assuming the TV-PG rating is to blame. Dudes wearing banana hammocks must be okay, though.

- Even if I was interested in Cyber Sunday I wouldn't order it on principle. I think it's really lame they're charging people to participate in the voting process. That said, I'd vote twice if they added a D option to the Kane/Rey stips: no match at all.

LANCE CADE IS FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFIYAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHED
WTF?

Jericho completely blew the call on Cade earlier. "We got some interesting things planned..." yeahright. Cade is bound for TNA and Jericho probably sacrificed him there.

Yessssss. I've always hated Cade. It seemed like he was only around as a favor to Shawn Michaels. The only entertainment he ever gave me was to see how jacked up he'd get on the roids. He'd be huuuuge.

BFG IV was a good PPV. The ending was meh but it made sense though (they were building Joe vs Nash for awhile). The main event match itself made Joe look REALLY good (at times it looked like Sting wasn't on his level even though he is the much bigger star). Angle vs Jarret was a good match. The only downsides to me (besides Mongo of course lol) where the mixed tag match and the fact that Bashir and Creed didn't really have an X-division title credible match. I would give the event a 7.35/10.

wtf is the deal with Finlay?

Cryme Tyme bailed his ass out tonight...won the match...then beat up Cryme Tyme. Mark Henry then comes out and punks his ass.

Finlay going back to being heel? He just doesn't fit with this face character with his "son." Ditch Hornswaggle and turn Finlay either heel or make him someone in the middle. He's supposed to be this bruising brawler and he loves a fucking leprechaun.

10/16 Impact Spoilers-

(1) The Motorcity Machine Guns d. Sonjay Dutt & Sheik Abdul Bashir. After the match Kurt Angle came out and attacked The Guns and Dutt.
He said he will continue to take out the entire roster until he gets Jeff Jarrett back in the ring.

- JB interviews Kevin Nash. He says remember the old saying "keep your friends close but your enemies closer" ? well he has been doing that since Joe dissrespected
he and Hall and warned everyone that the old Nash is back.

- Sting came to the ring and said Sunday night Joe was the better man but that he lost because instead of winning when he had the chace
he chose to be dissrespectful and beat him down more. He said when he walked back through that curtain alot of the respectful wrestlers shook his hand but AJ Styles didn't.
Styles comes out and they go back and forth on the stick. Styles slaps Sting and they get into a pull apart.

(2) Booker T d. Hernandez.

- Kurt Angle came back out and attacked David Penzar, some security and officials. Jeff Jarrett came out and said he got him in the ring once but won't again.
Kurt says he may have to pay a trip to Jeff's three daughters. Jarrett runs after Kurt but he heads for the hills.

- Mick Foley comes out and says he is done with TNA. He thanks the fans and the wrestlers. AJ Styles, Jay Lethal and others comes out and shake his hand.

(3) Roxxi d. Raisha Saeed. Kong laid Roxxi out after the match.

(4) Kevin Nash d. Consequences Creed. Nash took the mic. after the match and out down the fans.

(5) Kurt Angle d. Matt Morgan. After the match Angle kep beating on Morgan until Abyss made the save. Angle bloodied Abyss and put him in the Ankle Lock.

- Backstage JB caught up with Foley and Jarrett getting in a car. Foley said next week on the live iMPACT! from Vegas he will have a huge announcement.

I always found it odd that Nash was a "mentor" to Joe after he said what he said about Nash and Hall. With Nash never bringing it back up. With the two not having history before the mentor angle. Good job by TNA on that.

When i saw Joe do that dropkick i was like "DAMNN thats some crazy shit"

Overall it was a good ppv but the endings did ruin some of the matches like the Triple Threat (looked so stupid Cage just waiting there for booker to hit the scissor kick) and the main event (For the most part Sting looked like a bitch compared to Joe and then suddenly Joe was beat), also the ref was unbelievable shit in the monsters ball which was a very entertaining match otherwise.

Hell In The Cell DVD set is ACE.

I love the pictures in the case. So much blood.
The intro kind of kicks ass too.

so...NO comments on Raw yet?

Things are THAT bad?

TNA is still lame, it will be gone in 2 yrs.
They said that six years ago.
Yet, month in and month out TNA puts on better PPVs than WWE......

You would have to pay me at least $50/hour to watch any TV professional wrestling these days. I can't even be bothered to check results online anymore.
I miss most of WWE...or even forget it's on. That never used to be the case.

TNA has been better lately with the build up to Bound for Glory and going forward. I catch it on DVR so I can skip the bullshit.

Am I the only one who thinks that Foley in TNA adds NOTHING to the product? Can we have TNA from 2005 back PLEASE?

EDIT: Ok, why the FUCK is there a promo video for Mike "Cure for Insomnia" Knox?

Things that annoy me:

Batista's fake laugh
The phrase WWE Universe
Michael Cole using the same script for almost every match
Constant pimping of WWE.com
BradVanDam :P

If WWE do a twist and bring Cena back as a heel after all of this build up I would like them again...

but no, that won't happen :(

At what point do they say FUCK the T-shirt sales and let's put something interesting on TV?
Cena's a NATURAL heel, yet they won't let him go with it.

Wow...that promo was terrible. Way to fuck it up Miz-Morrison

The ECW commercial with Morrison keeps cracking me up.
Dramatic voiceover and all and then "and it is for those who do not heed his word.." then the dramatic pause so you expect some great line and you get a weak and whiney "I'm the best in the world!"

Has the WWE product ever been this terribly BLAND and BORING?

I think this is close to the lowest ever....

The fact that they hype themselves up as the best show on cable, and the longest running show just makes it worse.

The repeating of everything over and over again is another annoying thing

Even worse, the four guys in the ring right now could put on an awesome match, but they cant be bothered it seems

What's the point? Both were on top of the show and delivering something fresh and good matches...how do they get rewarded? Buried in the mid card jobb to The Jiz & Johnny fuckin Nitro.

What pisses me off is that there is so much talent that does not get tv time or gets let go so that Duggan and Lawler and even Sgt Slaughter eat up tv time.

Those clips they showed from the live show seemed awesome... everything about the RAW is just far too scripted, and over produced. I honestly think that is the bigest problem...

BTW, Cole will now plug WWE.com, and talk about Cryme Tyme's show, and said he learned a new word... during this match
