the power of fitness minigames. Really builds up a frame.I guess that means Quest 2 has exceeded psvr sales already. Crazy considering we're talking 4 years vs like 4 months.

PSVR was the ONLY headset you could ever buy if you were on playstation. There are literally dozens on PC to choose from.
now this is getting out of hand

I tempted to try Halo and Quake 4.I've been using the Quest 2 in tandem with my gaming laptop recently. My current obsession is trying to play Resident Evil CODE Veronica X in VR using Dolphin VR. There's still bugs to iron out, but once I get off from work I'll explore fixing them! I also use 3DSenVR to play NES games in VR and it's amazing. Also when I get off from work I want to see which games I can get working with VorPx, a Windows driver for VR that lets you play certain non VR games in VR. It's great to re experience these non VR games in VR for a semi fresh new experience!
Played some DOOM Eternal on Quest 2 paired with a MOGA Hero pocket controller via Virtual Desktop to ShadowPC cloud instance. It worked extremely well, even better than this video, it's just how Quest 2 records your session.
It's like being in a simulation, in a simulation, in a simulation, in a simulation.
Oh yeah, it's just Virtual Desktop's environments options. You can do big movie theaters with 40ft screen, the moon, customize, etc.Can you customize the monitor size where it feels like you're playing on a huge screen?
very, very cool, will have to try that!Oh yeah, it's just Virtual Desktop's environments options. You can do big movie theaters with 40ft screen, the moon, customize, etc.
It also should have much less motion blur than any gaming monitor as long as you’re playing 90 FPS at 90 hz. The motion blur should be that of a crt monitor.
Go on !HEllo guys, just a question.
We are working on a VR experience / game, aiming several VR hardware (quest 2 mainly, then rift etc...). Are we allowed to post a google form in this thread? Would be very useful for us.
Thanks.
Pierre

haha that sounds stupid as fuck i love itThis reminds me when we played coop saints row 4... In vr in big screen cinema sitting next to each other. Friend played on big cinema screen and I had my own displayed before me. We could both see each other monitors, each other, throw popcorn and talk to each other. It's couch coop in vr!
I realized I have some screenshots. Bigscreen even have a selfie stick with a timerhaha that sounds stupid as fuck i love it
I bought that Rex Infinite in today’s sale. It’s awesome. It’s got amazing visual and music. Very Tron like. Highly recommended.
So yeah, I went to my company for an inspection of product, had only been there physically like 2 times since the beginning of the year. Random chatter at work, I end up finding this old guy I know has a Quest 2, I talk more with him and I find out like 12 peoples at work have a Quest 2. Like WTF? I then realized this thing is on a whole new mainstream level. They even play together in Onward.
Dude, work In Death: Unchained into your schedule. It's my favorite Quest game by far, especially if you like roguelites. The arrow and movement mechanics are just so natural. You bastards, you all got me hyped for the Oculus (both with this and that troll "next gen thread" ), and now I've just gone and ordered one! It was a strange experience buying one - I decided that I wanted one, found a place selling them and simply placed a order. As someone who has been wanting to build a new PC for the past 6 months, actually being able to just purchase hardware like that is very unsettling!
A question about the Facebook account:
I nuked my real one many, many years ago, but have kept one with just a silly nickname and no friends connections for when websites ask you for a Facebook account n order to log in. Would it be ok to use that one, or do you need to use your official name?
I don't want to make the same mistake I made with PC and create a bloated backlog by buying too many games at once. I think it's better to have too few games rather than too many, at least you appreciate the ones you have more that way. To get me started, I will buy 3 to begin with, and then limit myself to just one new game per month thereafter. I'm pretty much brand new to the whole VR experience, so even the older games will be new and fresh to me.
I want to get a nice spread of different genres. Just like at the dawn of home 3D gaming, I feel a great sense of excitement and curiosity about how each type of game will translate to the brand new paradigm. My first 3 will be:
1. Super Hot - I've wanted to try this one for a long time. Looks like a real VR classic.
2. Beat Saber - I've heard nothing but good things about this, plus it should be a good one to try to get non-gaming family and friends into VR.
3. The Thrill of the Fight - I've traditionally always included a sports game among my first purchases of any new console, and this with seems like a particularly good choice with the gyms still closed where I am.
I've spent a good part of today getting up to speed on what games are available and which ones are good and think that
May: Moss - I'd love to try Astro Boy to get my first taste of what a VR platformer plays like, but this seems like a good second choice.
June: Dash Dash World - I want to try a VR racing game, and everyone says this is a like a VR Mario Kart, which can only be a compliment.
July: Journey of the Gods - I'll probably be in the mood for a meaty, Zelda-like adventure after all the racing and action of previous months.
August: Vader Immortal - even though I'm not the biggest Star Wars fan, swinging a light sabre around just seems like it'd be great fun!
September: The Room VR: A Dark Matter - seems like a great puzzle game
October: The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners - heard good things about this, and it should make a nice game to play around Halloween
November: Path of the Warrior - this doesn't look like anything amazing, but I'm very curious about how a Streets of Rage style brawling will feel like in VR.
December: I'll leave this slot free for now. I can think of at least 10 games I could put here. I might buy Sam and Max, if it's out by then.
I hear a lot of the games are pretty short, but that's fine with me. I'm not a huge fan of big, bloated, modern games, and have retro consoles to fill in the gaps anyway.

I’ve spent hours in Wanderer (whatever it’s called). It’s great spending time in places you used to go on holiday or where you grew up. It’s quite peaceful. I lovely chilled experience. Can anyone recommend some non-gaming VR stuff too? For travel, is Google Earth enough, or is that Wanderer app worth buying?
Any good apps/games good for older people (like my parents).
Waiting my Quest 2 to finally arrive tomorrow!
Can someone explain to me how much of the performance hit I will get while running game in VR compared to my 1440p high refresh rate monitor?
I've adjusted the settings of all games that I can play in VR to run smoothly at 1440p@90hz on my desktop monitor, BUT only today I realized that image needs to be rendered twice for stereo image and I can only guess what performance penalty I will get.
Games I want to play are: No Man's Sky, Skyrim, HL: Alyx, PCars, Dirt Rally 2.0 etc.
Also if someone can tell what performance hit I will get using VORPX in G3D mode (full stereoscopic). For example "half of your frame-rate" on 1440p display etc.
My setup: 8700k@4.5Ghz, RTX 2070S, 32Gb.
Big thanks!
Great to hear but I want to know what CPU/GPU combo do I need for VR to match my current 1440p setup.I can't remember but I have a similar setup. It'll be a hit, but the trade-off is SO fucking worth it. Your setup is enough for lower "mid-tier VR" which for me is miles better than 4k 90fps on a monitor.

No, Oculus Quest 2 that will arrive tomorrow will be my first VR ever. And I can't wait, literally. I'm feeling like a child on Christmas.Curious, have you used VR at all, if so what setup?

I will try No Man's Sky first, as I've already bought it and I know how it looks and performs. Then I will really to want to try Skyrim because it's like a point of reference. I want to compare the feelings between monitor and VR. and when I feel comfortable with VR I want to play Half-life Alyx, as a whole experience. You should be, its literally the biggest leap in gaming history, and I mean even over the SNES to N64 jump.
The reason I ask this is the verbiage you are using sounds like a non-VR person waiting to "match the monitor" settings. Which is fine, I'm happy that you get to experience it like this, better than my first time. But it's just nothing like using a monitor in the slightest. You'll see. Wouldn't be surprised if you can do medium/high settings at a lot of AAA games 90hz. What game do you plan on playing first?
