I received that email 4 weeks ago (US). Still says processing.
Well, how about that.. I guess "about to ship" has a different meaning to them then the rest of the planet then, LOL.

Just some crazy speculation based on links I've stumbled upon today: are Razer and Sixense about to release a new Hydra + MakeVR bundle?
Razer is running a promotion where you have to guess the "revolution" they are about to come out with here.
Meanwhile, MakeVR, Sixense's VR 3D modelling program, has slipped past its original April Kickstarter date. The Sixense rep on the Oculus development forums has posted this on June 7th:
In other words, both Sixense and Razer are promising new announcements in the near future. Could the two announcements be linked, with MakeVR pushing the updated, more VR-friendly Hydra like Portal 2 was partnered with the original Hydra? They might be unrelated, but apparently Hydra stock is running out everywhere and the timing makes sense.
It starts... xD

want to requote this because maybe it will happen in 1 day
New Razer Hydra could be great
Finally got around to writing up some impressions on the Rift, including my top 5 things to try:

Ugh, at least they updated

Well, that explains that, at least. I'm just glad there's some sort of official word. Now back to the waiting game.We shipped roughly 100 kits to US customers from extra stock that had already cleared customs from the last batch. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up and and we sent these dev kits to customers at the end of the order list rather than the beginning. This was completely our mistake and were really sorry for the mix-up plus the resulting confusion.
I normally wouldn't care too much about this wait. But my brother is visiting this week and I only see him twice a year so I was hoping the Oculus would be here in time so he could try it out. Now he has to wait until Christmas![]()

If you want more fuel for the fire, here's an interesting page on the Sixense website that the Oculus VR forum has seemingly unearthed. A remnant of the pre-Hydra days that was never pulled, or something related to the new announcement that went up early? Guess we won't have to wait long to find out.
Their "Guess what it is" contest just disappeared off their front page.
Edit: ... It's Virtual Surround Sound software.

mhh http://www.razerzone.com/razer-hyped-up is still online? Thats wierd, would be super easy to answer the winning question now, if the Razer Surround is what they did mean.
I just got hardcore nauseous from playing HL2. that's never happened before. hopefully it never happens again. it was miserable.

Half-Life 2 Beta now supports any resolution
A new update just launched and oddly enough no mention of any VR updates in the change log.
Eitherway, they seemed to have implemented the most recent change to Team Fortress 2. You can now play both games in any resolution.
I have to say it looks alot better. Now let's hope they implement Hydra support.

Very frustrating that there's STILL no word on when customs are going to clear the batch.
Very, very frustrating.
What part were you playing?
I'm kind of ok with this considering I just bought a Hydra like a month ago lol.Their "Guess what it is" contest just disappeared off their front page.

Sandtraps. The part where you are creating bridges over and across the sand.
edit: being able to actually read console commands when you lift off the headset is a bit of a godsend now. I'm so glad they fixed it's weird resolution quirks.
Gameplay trailer of Routine, an upcoming indie game that has a strong System Shock 2 vibe.
Looks amazing. I'll probably die of a heart attack playing this with the Rift though.
And that Oculus logo... Feels good man!
Yo this game Routine looks awesome! It will be amazing on the Rift. Is this running UE4?Cause that looked real good.
Another U.S. delivery after the batch stuck in customs? What was your order number/range?Just got my Rift from the UPS guy... I'm so hyped I don't know what to try first!

Man I can only go for a couple of minute at a time before feeling really queasy =(
What are you trying first? Avoid sudden movements and particularly strafing. Analog walking eg with a 360 pad can help you walk more slowly
