Ode to Horror: A Celebration of Resident Evil

Much love to Capcom for revolutionizing the Survival Horror genre! Can't wait to play more titles!

Still remember the first time I played RE 2 on N64 with the blurry ass FMV's being a huge Dawn of the Dead fan I said FINALLY they made a video game for me!!! Masterpiece!

I remember I had a pirate copy of RE1 on PC with all cutscenes ripped out (to fit multiple games on one 700MB CDR), but I didn't know that at the time.

Later I got a real copy and I remember being so fucking disturbed by the first zombie video haha.

I just played the PS1 version of Resident Evil on PSN for the first time and a long time. I've played REmake so many times since then, I forgot that the original/Director's Cut is great still.

I got the urge to play RE2 again now. Unfortunately, that's more difficult. It isn't playable on PS5 or Steam, so I had to bust out the PS3. Worth it. Great game. The RE2 remake is also amazing, but it's really a completely different game.

I've been playing R3make, but I'm not feeling it. I'd rather play og RE4.

But it's an interesting franchise. Most of the games are a bit flawed though.

It gets better after the first run. When you know where everything is you can really go ham on the mechanics. Also, the unlockables are great and the game mixes up the enemies on higher difficulties.

Loves his juicy stink trail scent
Love RE.

Capcom has been the most consistent developer of games.

They’ve had stumbles but never a true fall from grace like Blizzard, BioWare, Square, Bethesda, etc etc.

Capcom and Fromsoft are the north stars of gaming. You can always look to them for another certified banger.

Maybe I'll stick to it for now. The shooting and moving does not feel natural to me. I'm playing with mouse and keyboard.

RE3 (original) is fucking FIRE but you are just pulling blammers out and mowing down zombies with ease. Luckily they were smart enough to add Nemesis to balance the horror factor but even then you got a dodge mechanic.
