Does McDyess always shoot such a big fade away shot? He has turned two 5 foot shots into 10 footers.

When players lose their lift (as McDyess has since his surgeries), they tend to start fading away on their jumpers-- mostly subconsciously at first in order to clear the defender, but then it becomes routine.

WTF, people were saying this Detroit team was going to "destroy (crush, mangle, mutilate, etc.)" Miami?

...

:lol

This Indy team dominated Miami during the season 3-1 and lost the 1 game by like 2 points. Detroit split with them. Pistons match up well against teams with few guys who can create their own offense but struggle otherwise...

this Detroit team struggled against the Pacers in the ECF last playoffs (went to a game 7 IIRC) yet still destroyed, crushed, mangled, and mutliated Shaq Kobe and my Lakers in the Finals.

There are exceptions. ;)

Besides, he said himself that the reason he developed the fadeaway was to help avoid double teams in the post by spinning away from them; that's usually how he used it. He rarely faded away on pull up jumpers, though by '97-'98, he started to due to his age (hence, less lift :p).

That is true, but I dunno...I wonder why this team struggles so much against the Pacers. I just realized that they scored 33 pts in the 2nd half of game 2 and 28 pts in the first half of this game...meaning that they scored 61 pts in a full game (or over 4 quarters, whichever you prefer). That either means Detroit's offense has been sucking or the Pacers are playing some unbelievable D.

There's really no rhyme or reason to it. Pacers/Pistons is the new Knicks/Heat, meaning that no matter which team is more talented, who is injured or suspended, who's playing at home or on the road, or which team is better, they almost always play a close, UGLY fucking game of basketball against eachother.

RICHMOND, Va. -- Former NBA player Ralph Sampson was arrested Friday in Atlanta on two felony counts of failing to pay court-ordered child support, U.S. Attorney Paul J. McNulty said.

Sampson also is charged with failing to comply with a 1988 order that he pay $1,500 a month in child support for a daughter in Alexandria, Va. As of April 30, Sampson owed more than $247,500 in that case, McNulty said.

Quick Foul Guy
The Guy Who Calls Too Many Fouls: Reggie Miller, Indiana Pacers

If you touch his elbow, he calls a foul. Graze his nonshooting hand—foul. Step on his toe—foul. Make a little too much eye contact—let's take that one out at the top. After this year's playoffs, Miller is hanging it up. Shake his hand in congratulations for a long, successful career—foul.

HERE HE COMES!

They would've never have called that foul, whether it was reggie or not. Lindsay was holding and grabbing the whole way across the court. They decided to let it play out, tit for tat.

Pistons didn't deserve to win, but they put up the effort at the end, too little too late, but I wouldn't expect this to happen again.

I said it almost every single game last year too, "Pistons didn't deserve to win", but they pull out of the series on after another. It's what they do.

I expect another complete overhaul of the bench this summer though, and rip or chauncey get the boot. I'd rather dump Rip though, he's great, but he has become very flaky when they need him most.

The funniest part is the Pacers actually shot worse than the Pistons this game :lol. As bad as fucktard Walton was dissing the Pistons and everyone saying the Pistons couldn't shoot tonight, Pacers ended up worse for wear than the Pistons.

Great game. These two teams are already getting testy with one another, and it's only Game 3! :lol

And good grief @ Amare. He's a monster.

Nash is just schooling the Mavs right now. :lol Showing that he's a worthy MVP.

This game would be better if the Mavs could only hit the open 3's.
