Pistons season over. Get rid of LB, Dump the entire bench except Lindsey.

The problem is I love the starters, but they fucking suck sometimes. I understand Rasheed was pissed about the offensive fouls and got out of sync, but Tuesday he played 5 less minutes and score 18 more points. Don't fucking use excuses like 'He didn't play a lot'.

I fully expect the Pistons to lose Saturday or win the series. If Wade is out a couple games, this will all be for naught because everyone will say the Pistons can't be the Heat with Wade.

I don't see how anyone can be a Pistons fan without going insane about 100 times per season.

This is the worst officiated series I've ever seen, but it didn't affect any outcomes. Every official that took part in this series should be fired and banned.

I thought he used up all his guarantees for this year? :lol

Also while bitching about the officiating he said "they" want a game 7?

Is he accusing the NBA of a conspiracy?

I think some of you guys don't realize how hard it can be to officiate basketball. I did it a few times for intramural games in college (sometimes by myself) and it can be really hard to see everything. Maybe the NBA should consider adding some refs for each game so that isn't a problem?

Back to Shaqs 101, baby! Bring in Dooling to take over Wade's role, and hope his shot is falling. Then give Wade some flaxseed oil so he can come back stronger than ever halfway through the 4th. :D PEACE.

What does flaxseed oil do exactly? I googled it up and found alot of sites that seem to speak about it's advantages for the sole purpose of selling you some product.

If Amare can't beat the Spurs while averaging 35 for the series, I don't think Shaq can get it done. Plus the Big Washed-Up will actually have to play defense too. It's hilarious to see Magic and the other "analysts" creaming over a 20 and 5 night like we should be impressed :lol :lol :lol :lol

FSN Detroit had Sheed's "interview" live but cut out when he swore, he does it like every postgame :lol

Yeah I found the commentary on Shaq pretty hilarious. Shaq came out early and established his dominance! He had 9 pts and NO BOARDS in the first quarter :lol Shaq didn't win the game, Wade didn't win the game. The Heat Roleplayers and Detroit won this game for the Heat. The Heat played 'good', but the Pistons played disgusting bball.

A key difference is that the Heat are a much better defensive team than the Suns. Anyone thinking the Suns were gonna win it all have obviously forgot about the Mavs in 2002. The Suns ARE that team only with worse D (after all the Mavs at least got 2 games in that series).

Bogut joins the Kobe-bashing club!! Lolerskates!!

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/06/02/AR2005060201999.html

Bogut was asked for specifics of the American attitude toward the game, what he does not like. Guess who's name came up?

"There's no one I really hate, but Kobe [Bryant] had a demeanor of being very cocky," he said. "What happened with Shaq. . . . If I had a chance to play with Shaq or Tim, if they told me to buy them groceries, I don't care, I buy them groceries. It's a gift to play with somebody like that. Kobe is probably one of the guys that, everybody knows it, he's got that cocky arrogance to him, everything has to surround around him the whole time. Otherwise, he doesn't function. That's the biggest example.

"If you're playing with Shaquille [O'Neal], a Hall of Famer, you keep your mouth shut and play if you want more rings," Bogut continued.

Candid? Definitely. Harsh? No more than what many current and former players have said about Bryant.

Sounds about right on the money to me, although I do think that some of this Kobe-bashing tends to vindicate O'Neal of any responsibility in the matter. There were 2 big babies in that whole affair if you ask me..

:lol Because if there's something Shaq isn't, its cocky? I love when people speak on this situation and make Shaq out to be some kind of saintly victim. If you have to act like an obidient child (seen, not heard, right?) just to get along with Shaq, doesn't that say more about HIS character than Kobe's? Bogut is a moron. Expect Kobe to add him to the list of number 1 picks he's teabagged next season.

Has anyone else enjoyed Doug Collins commentary this series? I think he's been doing a very good job, and is consistant with what he says, he doesnt flip flop like everyone else.

And i swear that was marv alberts 10th time this series calling Eddie Jones, Dwyane Wade.

Hater the analysts aren't creaming over the damn scoring... they are creaming over the impact he has on the opposing teams offense just by clogging the paint...goddamn I'm starting to regret that they unbanned your bitching whining ass.

Yeah I like having coach Collins in there... he makes some really good comments from a coaching and players views.

And now Rasheed has returned to becoming the predictor... even though previously he said that only works once a year... and as for his complaining about the ref'ing. He sure as hell wasn't complaining in game 3 when Shaq and Zo spent most of their time on the bench... but oh I see that was only so that Detroit could win... to tie the series... to that Miami could win last night... so that Detroit could win tomorrow... Sheed... please STFU and play.

Well, he's guaranteed himself a poster...on the wrong end of Kobe's nuts I'm afraid. :lol But that's some balls right there. Good going Bogut, now you gave Kobe fans someone to hate after Shaq wins a ring this year. :D

Konex: Keep the hate coming. I heard Wade is feeling better by the minute. :) PEACE.

And don't worry Spurs will win the whole thing. Shaq will be on a different team again next year. :)

Andrew Bogut is the Utah center that is in this year's draft. No team yet.

Did anyone else laugh their ASS off last night on that play towards the end of the game where Mourning grabbed a rebound and tried to hot dog a bit by holding the ball out, extended in one hand, thinking that there was no Piston nearby, only to have Wallace sneak up behind him, knock it out of his hands, and then save the ball inbounds to a teammate under the basket for an uncontested layup? :lol He's lucky they were up about 15 with 3:00 to go at that point, or else it could have been a huge blunder on his part.

Did any of you hear Bill Walton just RIP Larry Brown over some radio interview? He was fuckin' BRUTAL. He started off by saying that LB is a great example of corruption-- how can he sit and coach one team by being a president of another? It's an awful conflict of interest and its the pinnacle of corruption. Then he finished by saying something like "This is a guy who ruined what could have been a great series with his selfishness. If I was a player on the Pistons, and he came in and asked for a team meeting, I'd get up and walk out and ask what he knows about a team."

If I can find the clip I will, but a local detroit news station just aired the clip, hahaha. BRUTAL stuff.... first time in a long time I've liked Bill Walton.

There's a story about Shaquille O'Neal that cannot be written. It's the one about the flaws in his game that have nothing to do with free throws, his lack of commitment, his insecurities as a teammate and person, or how he always plays the victim.

No one will write that story because Shaq is Shaq – the nicest guy in the world, the guy with the heart of a kid, the most unpretentious superstar in professional sports. No media person in his right (or write) mind would degrade Shaq in print. It's career suicide. It isn't worth it.

...

Ms. Rodgers will tell you a story about a Steve Harvey and John Salley conversation that took place on 100.3 FM The Beat over a month ago. She'll tell you how Steve and John got into an argument on the air about the whole Shaq/Kobe deal. She'll tell you how Steve sided with Diesel while John said Shaquille needs to let the whole thing die. Saying to Steve, "You're talking about Kobe, but Shaq's the one running around here not letting it go. He's the one saying the Lakers did him wrong. Kobe isn't saying anything. He's in Europe, vacationing with his wife."

She'll tell you how on the next day, Shaq himself called in to the radio station and said, "[Salley] rode our backs to get his rings."

She'll tell you how Shaq then called Salley a sellout, an Uncle Tom.

FREE AT LAST!

Loki, you are mostly right in things that are non-Kobe/Jordan related. Your viewpoints on those two subjects are generally crazytime.

And in my defense, I did have Konex on my side. Kobe Bryant is the only athlete in modern history to win a championship with Konex as a fan(more?). Jordan would never have made it to the age of thirty with that kind of 'help'.

Scoop Jackson said:
Will you say that he's overrated and over-loved? Or will you realize that now you can no longer judge his game by the numbers he puts up while he's on the floor?

If we're using this as the measure of a great, than the best player on the pistons is Lindsey Hunter. And, if you ask Doug Collins, you might get support with that statement.

God. Typical Scoop. I knew I should have gotten my hopes up for someone actually being honest when Ninja posted that piece of the article. And please.... 8 weeks to heal a charliehorse? Has anyone ever even had one? If doctors say that you should be off your leg for 4 weeks after getting a thigh bruise, someoen better call the NFL players union, cuz they're getting ripped off.

A charliehorse... that sir is a f'n brilliant piece of medical work... I mean all this time we thought it was something serious because blood keeps polling.. and it's really just a muscle cramp... you sir are so f'n brilliant that it's incredible we've made it this far without your guidance.

damn, after a quiet offseason so far, the LA radio stations went crazy with pre-draft day rumors. Two stations reporting separate rumors:

-First, Caron and the 10 pick to Charlotte for the 5 and the 13.

-another station reporting Caron, the 10, and filler (vlade, ending k's, ect...) to Utah for Boozer, Curtis Borchardt, and the 6th pick overall. If that deal falls through, the Lakers could target Shareef Abdur Raheem (Good god let that not be true!)

char·ley horse (chärl hôrs)
n.

Localized pain or stiffness in a muscle following excessive muscular exertion or the contusion of a muscle.

Don't be fooled by how the media dresses up that stupid injury. Here's another one for ya, in case you aren't keeping up:

con·tu·sion (kn-tzhn, -ty-)
n.

An injury in which the skin is not broken, often characterized by ruptured blood vessels and discolorations; a bruise.

LOOK OUT! A BRUISE WILL KEEP YOU OFF YOUR FEET FOR 4 WEEKS!!

Edit: And in case you're REALLY falling behind class:
Main Entry: bruise
Function: noun
1 : an injury transmitted through unbroken skin to underlying tissue causing rupture of small blood vessels and escape of blood into the tissue with resulting discoloration

Two lottery picks for Caron f'n Butler and another lower than top 5 pick? Haha, fuck that.

the Charlotte trade isn't that far fetched if they (like many other teams) consider there to be a big dropoff in talent after the top 4 picks. If they don't think they have a shot at their number 1 guy (Chris Paul?) why not trade down?

as for the Utah trade, it almost went down earlier this season, so i don't see where you get the idea that its so outlandish, then again, you're probably just one of those that considers EVERY proposed Laker trade as some kind of crackpipe dream without even considering it. I mean, jesus its not like im proposing Slava for Duncan.

Both Deron Williams and Raymond Felton, proven college guys, will be at #5. The Cats will take one of them and groom him as their starting PG. I think at this point the only things the Cats are considering is trading up or staying put.

All we need is a point guard and a good coach and the Lakers will be fine. Too bad those two commodities are in very short supply in the NBA. :(

And to liven things up, who was the better player Shaq or Hakeem?

I was always a huge Hakeem fan and he probably took two of the least talented teams (besides himself) to a championship. The guy dominated a game on both ends of the court like no one I ever have seen before. Shaq might have been more dominant offensively in his prime (against scrubs I should add), but he was never as dominant as Hakeem was on defense. Also, Hakeem embarassed Shaq, Robinson (put a dress on him in fact), and Ewing in the playoffs. Pretty impressive accomplishement. He also got Kenny the Jet Smith a job on TNT and killed a lion with his bare hands. Shaq has made some horrible movies in his spare time. To me, killing the lion and Kenny Smith charity is more impressive.

Hands down Hakeem the Dream was better imho.
