Wow! Missed all of this game but a few minutes after the half. Did the Heat lay an enormous egg or what? Game 7 at home is a game I think we win. PEACE.

Spurs get homecourt vs Miami or Pistons.

Are the playoff tiebreakers different than the regular season tiebreakers

Because when I checked, it said that a teams conference record was the third deciding factor after overall record and H2H record.

I really have no idea, but the schedule has been announced for days now, with Spurs having homecourt regardless of any outcome.

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.

Shaq can't win without a star guard....

Kobe cant win without a star center....

Hopefully the Heat were EMBARRASSED enough to come out and play like they have a pair of BALLS tomorrow.

Maybe at least one set of balls can be found within that group.. because that was a pitiful f'n display of basketball..

Eddie Jones, 34 mins, 0-6 from the 3pt line, and finishes with 3 f'n points?
Haslem goes back to sleep and only musters up 8 points.
<sigh> at least Butler continues to step up....

Anyone know if Wade will be playing and how hurt he is? Cause they showed on Saturday that without Wade they are nothing.

I would rather see the Pistons defend their title, but I know the rating for the NBA would be much higher if the Heat make it. But if Wade is gonna be hurt the rest of the way then there is no point in them going to the Finals and getting swept by the Spurs.

Go Pistons.

Wade Sr. guarantees son will play

The father of Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade said his injured son will play in tonight's Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals, according to a published report.

''Even if he's only 30 percent, he will contribute,'' Dwyane Wade Sr. told The Palm Beach Post for today's editions. ``My word on it. He will play.''

Wade missed Game 6 of the series Saturday night because of a strained rib muscle suffered in Miami's Game 5 victory. Without its leading scorer, the Heat lost Game 6 to the Pistons, 91-66 -- the lowest scoring total in franchise history.

''He definitely will be in Game 7,'' Wade Sr. told the newspaper. ``I'm positive. That's my son. Shouldn't I know?''

Damn they went to his father for a quote..... geez that's hardcore.

Hopefully he'll be more than 30% otherwise that's not going to help the HEAT cause at all... He's got to show Detroit that he at least is still a threat to drive to the hope....

He better channel the still living spirit of Allen Iverson or something tonight and play through the pain....

Chad Ford now reporting that the Lakers may send Caron and our two 2nd rounders to New Orleans for the 4th overall pick. Man i hope not, if that happens Mitch will probably take Gerald Green (he's a nice player, but last i checked, we're already pretty fuckin set at SG/SF)

I'm thinking Chris Paul or Deron Williams. Green might go to Portland or drop to Charlotte. If the Lakers had the 4th pick.

Will ABC even air the Finals this year or will TNT and ESPN get the entire playoffs?

Why did ABC pay so much money for the NBA contract if they are just going to stick every game on TNT? The NBA seems to get less popular all the time (especially when Showtime is not there to attract the casuals).

Stern you know what to do.

Hmmm....

"And the Lakers selection for the 2005 NBA draft is ....Tim Duncan!"

Game 5 of the Heat/Pistons series was like the #1 cable show of the week or the past month or some shit. It's pretty popular.

In Detroit, the series is the #1 program every night, but I guess that is to be expected :lol.

TNT >>>> ESPN > ABC, at least in relation to basketball. in fact, most anything that includes Charles Barkley in speaking form is gold.

NBA ratings are going back up, mostly because nothing else is on TV anymore :lol

They are still way down from the glory days (when the Lakers were in the playoffs).

If the finals is Pistons/Spurs, expect the LPGA to get higher ratings than the NBA finals.

Wade!!!! Wow he's playing with no pain killer? Surprising.

Damn they went through the list of therapy's... I expected them to say acupuncture as well.

Pistons have the right idea... attack Wade.

WOW that Home/Road stat is sick.

And even worse compared to the magnificence of the Bulls dynasty days. :)
People had fewer options back then.

There was no internet or dvds.

It was either Jordan or stare at the wall. Even then only like 10% of the country watched....

to be honest, i don't want either team to win. Detroit beat our asses last year so screw them. And i was actually rooting for Miami a little until Shaq had to start talking shit about the entire city of Los Angeles, not he can suck a fat diznick. AT the end of the day, either one of these teams is probably going to get their asses kicked by the Spurs anyway.

No Internet?!

Look at Portland. They could have drafted Michael Jordan, but they took Bowie instead. Everyone said that they were making a mistake. No mistake. Portland needs another guard like it needs a hole in the head. Yes, Jordan has had a great rookie season, but Bowie has done well and the Trailblazers are looking strong for the playoffs.

Hmm, is your name William, bionic?

Wade isn't looking too into it so far, but gotta love any Jones 3-pointers.

-edit-

And who says Shaq is just a big bulky man with no skills, that was a great fake to the dunk.

Hah, same here. It seemed that it was going to start blinking out earlier (it rained a lil' about an hour ago), but it's stayed on. I hope it makes it through the game. :D
