I'm sorry, how many NFL Championships does your team have?

they do have the distinction of being the fastest franchise to win a championship, due to the odd handling of Cleveland's history after the move.

Patriots just dropped another QB, leaving an undrafted rookie as Brady's backup. Give 'em a call Chilly! They wants them some TJack!

Did people in Minnesota know this was his nickname before Brett Farve came around?

As an outsider, I never heard that before. But now, whenever I watch the Vikings and see a shot of him, my mind shouts out Chilly!

Very likely that AJ Feely will be traded to the Pats. Eagles can not keep 4 QBs.

I wish they would keep Feely and cut Kolb but they are not ready to admit what a bust he has been so it will be McNabb, Kolb, and Vick.

Yes, the local sports radio guys have been calling him that since he got here.

Jeff George wasn't available so we couldn't use Minnesota's plan.

I don't get it.

Snyder can use all the money he's squeezing out of 72-year-old bankrupt grandmother lifelongs to pay for the best of every position!
I am sure he will empty the bank, but what amazing free agents are going to be available next year?

Casey Hampton? :(
Redskins already have Haynesworth who is more talented (though probably also more injury prone).

Though I am sure someone is going to empty the bank for Casey. 3-4 defense are the latest fad in the NFL and guys like Kiesel and Casey Hampton let everyone on the defense do their job that much better.

Is there something i'm missing besides that Article? Casey Hampton is 32, and showed up for camp at his target weight. Why wouldn't they extend him for another few years?

The Steelers won't even think about matching a big offer for an older player. EVER. Heck, they underpaid Hines Ward last time he was due a new contract. Luckily, Hines decided that rings were more important than his bank account.
What a true Steeler. I LOVE THAT MAN!

I know that, but casey Hampton's a Nose tackle. I really don't think he's going to open up to a monster contract like Faneca did, for example.

There are a ton of talented players on defense and offense for the Steelers. It is almost impossible to sign all of those guys and stay under the cap. This shouldn't be a shock, this has been the Steelers MO for the last 20 years. They use you until you get too expensive (unless you are a guy who can't be let go) and they let you go and let the guy who was drafted to replace you a few years earlier step in.

Hampton is a great player but I am sure they would like to replace him with a younger and cheaper version.

Well, we have a whole bunch of people up for free agency next year.

We've signed Hines Ward, Heath Miller, James Harrison, Max Starks, and Brett Kiesel to extensions. That leaves Willie Parker, Ryan Clark, Jeff Reed, Justin Hartwig, Willie Colon, and Casey Hampton.

Casey Hampton and Willie Parker are probably the most expendable of the people left to sign, especially if Ziggy Hoods and Mendenhall step up.

I'm no GM, but I have a hard time seeing them leave Hampton off the extension list, especially as we didn't draft a tackle this year, unless they're thinking of converting Hood.

Colon can walk the plank. I like Parker and all, but I'm sure they're taking a wait and see approach in terms of how he plays and if he stays healthy and also if Mendenhall develops like they hope. To me, the guys they needed to sign now are Clark and Reed. I would have made them a priority over Keisel, that extension was one I didn't see coming nor do I completely understand it. He's not a consistent, dominant force like Smith on the other side or Fat Casey in the middle. And I'd try and keep Fat Casey too but there's only so much to go around.

How many have you won in the past 10 years ?? Now Ask your self how many Championships has the City of Baltimore won ??

Throwing money at a problem isn't always the situation cant buy team Chemistry ask Jerry Jones.

I have zero faith in the cardinals going into this 49ers game. They have played piss poor this pre-season, even when their starting offense took the field. NFC championship repeat run is out of the question at this point until they can prove they can even score a fucking touchdown.

edit - I meant the nfc west championship

The Cards seem to always get there act together for the past 3 years after the 1st 3 games.

Seems that Josh Freeman is off to an inauspicious start against backups.

3-8-HOU 23 (:15) (Shotgun) J.Freeman pass deep middle to C.Hankton for 23 yards, TOUCHDOWN.

He was only getting warmed up!

He ran that 2 min drill like a PRO!

Sexy Rexy still looked better..... which is just sad.

It's sad that Rex was able to outperform a rookie QB who has had zero reps in training camp because our shitty QB competition was taking them all up? :P

Rex is a joke, a vet who can only look good when nothing is on the line and playing against dudes who are going to be serving me McDonalds next week.

Raheem's shitty QB competition won't hold Freeman back from reaching his potential!

Kitna isn't somebody you'd want starting if Romo went down anyhow. Can't see it as a huge improvement over Brad Johnson, to be honest.

oh my god what a cluster fuck play jesus
