I'm sorry that you can't fathom the idea that someone might like more than one NFL team. The Bears are my team, and I'll root for them no matter what, but that doesn't mean that I can't like another team.

And when did Jesse the Body Ventura become the Card's radio color guy? Dude practically sounds just like him. :lol
That guy did sound eerily like the body. Would have been awesome to hear him calling the Arizona defenders a bunch of slack jawed faggots after that game winning drive. Or somehow getting in a line about being a sexual Tyrannosaurs.

It was also pretty awesome to rewatch that last drive by Big Ben. I am seriously considering ranking it as even better than Cool Joe's drive to beat the Bengals. And how the hell did Ben hold on to the ball when he did that ridiculous pump fake on the short pass to San Antonio Holmes that ended up being like a 40 yard play?

He has like 8 teams anyways, but me I will never understand liking more than one team or jumping ship

"He has big, big, strong hands!" The only time you won't hear Madden say that is during an Alex Smith play.:D

Eh, I just happen to like a couple different teams. I'd never root for anyone over the Bears, though. They're the best. :lol

I'm surprised they weren't flagged for ineligible receiver downfield.

? None of the lineman left, all 5 stayed back trying to block. The line of scrimmage was the Cards 44. The only ones who cross that are Moore and Miller out of the back field.

Boldin really isn't that hot headed. The whole thing where he was arguing with Todd Haley was blown out of major perspective. Funny that no one hears about warner and haley doing the exact same thing in the first quarter of the same exact game.

How about the report that he left the field and did not celebrate with the team after they beat the Eagles?

Hugh Douglas' comment is pretty telling.

The whole issue is moronic. McNabb for someone who got a communications degree is a complete idiot with the media. Still he never ever threw anyone under the bus even during the years he had to tell the media "YES WE CAN WIN WITH THRASH AND PINKSTON". He did not even throw TO under the bus really until TO left and still would not shut up about him.

For some odd reason he decided to defend all time bust Reggie Brown this season when he was benched. He even cheered on Kolb in the game he was benched.

This can simply be him being incapable of ever answering a question without trying to make some corny non funny goofy joke or him always thinking they are out to get him so he deflects blame. I can not believe he said that even if its true, but he should not have said it. With that said its nothing so serious that it will become a major issue. I mean it gives Philly sports radio something to talk about till the Phillies report for training camp but other than that its the same old usual crap.

Hugh Douglas is a moron. Him and two other ex defensive players have become full time radio show host morons who seem to only care about creating controversy. The TO issue did divide the locker room if only because TO made sure he did. He wanted McNabb to go lobby for TO's new contract or extension...McNabb refused...TO start pitting the team against him by saying hes wont fight for TO or the players but that hes a Front Office guy.

Maybe McNabb said it because he does really want out.

BTW Hugh Douglas is the moron who fought TO in the locker room so I do not know what he is talking about.

I don't think TJ's going to leave the bengals, effzee. But maybe you could get Chad Johnson for the lesser of the two first rounders the Eagles have, or if you have any other day 1 picks, all of those instead.

I was simply going off the interview I posted. He was on the Philly ESPN radio station and seemed very knowledgeable about the Eagles situation and hinted many times that he would not mind playing for the Eagles and that even his game earlier this season against the Eagles was a "interview" with Reid. He also said how he would love to play in Reid offense since they pass so much.

Anyway if Cinci was smart they would keep him and trade the one who does not want to be there. I would take either of them to combo up with DJAX and Curtis. Pretty solid group of WRs for a pass happy team. Not as good as Boldin and Fitz, Moss and Welker, or TO and ROY but really good still.

It would help if KC somehow decided to trade GONZO. Gonzo on Eagles would be instant boner!

I want an investigation into how Marvin Lewis still has a job.
honestly it's because when you put him in a room with Mike Brown and the rest of Mike Brown's staff, he's the smartest guy in there. as much as I don't think he's destined for greatness, I can't fault him for having such a completely fucking retarded owner/GM. I mean the man works with a team where some of their best talent is people who were CFL all-stars, so considering he hasn't done as badly as the Lions he really has to be at least somewhat good as a head coach.

or to put it another way:

"Someday I want to know what it's like to work for a real fucking NFL front office."

as dumb as I've said the bengals' front office is, even letting TJ go seems too stupid for them. but like I said, Chad Johnson is gone so maybe the Eagles can trade for him. seriously, any 2nd/3rd round pick combo would probably get him at this point and I'd think that's fair value. I imagine he'll be like Corey Dillon and people might think his best days are behind him, but actually he's just dogging it because he hates this organization.

Wrong.

http://www.scoresreport.com/2009/02/04/did-santonio-holmes-really-get-two-feet-down/

They lost. Get over it. It was ruled a touchdown and there was no evidence to prove that it wasn't.

I admit it's hard to tell based on all of these photos, but the ruling on the field was touchdown, and none of the angles show that it wasn't. We have no clue when the picture you're showing was taken in relation to when Santonio had possession of the ball.

Of all the things to bitch about in the game, this is not one of them.

Sorry dude, second picture is inconclusive due to the angle. The only CONCLUSIVE shots are the first and third photos which clearly show the right toe is not down. I CALLED IT MOTHAFUCKAS!

Tell me again what the refs are supposed to do if all they have is inconclusive evidence again?

They had CONCLUSIVE evidence -- there were angles which one could make out his right toe not touching. Am I surprised they didn't overturn it though? No. It was a close call. But they blew it.

The moment you can produce conclusive evidence is the moment I will believe you.

All of these photos that we're looking at after the fact have no indication of possession in them, so we can't tell at what point during the catch these shots were taken.

None of the angles that were being replayed during the game showed anything conclusive (and the overwhelming majority believed that they reinforced the ruling of a catch, not the other way around), so there is no way the call can be overturned, and we have no idea if he definitely did or did not have both feet down at time of possession.

Get over it dude.

So, because there's an angle that shows for one frame he had one foot off the ground with no reference to where the ball was at the time, it's not a touchdown?

Sounds about right. That's much more conclusive than all of the other angles and pictures out there! If his foot EVER left the ground, it clearly was NEVER on the ground!

First off, i'm not a Cards fan but as soon as i was seeing the replays i thought maybe he had his one foot on the other. The replays being shown to us didnt have enough evidence to overturn, as i'm sure if it were called incomplete they couldnt overturn it for a TD...still if these photos exist why dont the important people ( REFS ) have access to these type of game changing angles?

DCX

You're avoiding what we're all saying though, man. Sure, that picture exists...but where is the full body shot (don't you dare post nakedsantonio.jpg)? Where in relation to the catch is that photo being taken? Does he already have possession? Because on all the other replays I've seen, he has full possession, drags both feet, and then his feet go up off the ground.

both feet are down when his arms our outstretched after making the catch, the right foot comes up after that... what a stupid controversy. Hopefully it stays on the internet.

DCX,

the best angle was from the sideline

And if we're going to play this game:

dx3x5v

But we shouldn't, because it's not the full shot or motion of the catch. But with every piece of "evidence," there's another piece confirming the touchdown.

ROCK HILL, S.C. -- A prosecutor says Buffalo Bills safety Ko Simpson has asked to enter a program that would remove from his record a charge of hindering police while they tried to make an arrest.

Rock Hill prosecutor Chris Barton told The Herald (Rock Hill, S.C.) that Simpson likely will be accepted into the pretrial intervention program because he has no record and the charge is a misdemeanor. The program includes a requirement of at least 50 hours of community service.

Police say they arrested the 25-year-old Simpson outside a bar in his hometown of Rock Hill, early New Year's Day when he interfered with officers trying to arrest his friends.

One officer said Simpson yelled: "I'm Ko Simpson with the Buffalo Bills. I am worth millions!" several times.

Simpson's lawyer wouldn't discuss the case.

HONOLULU — In front of Jay Cutler was the clear-blue but chilly-watered swimming pool at the Ihilani resort.

The gang of Pro Bowl football players had been gathered around the tables, swapping stories, when suddenly the Broncos' quarterback had 300-pound Nick Mangold pushing from one side, 310-pound Kris Dielman holding the other and his cellphone swindled into the hands of a coy Peyton Manning.

Cutler's radar had gone up, but he never had a chance.

Splash!

"We gave him a Pro Bowl baptism," said Dielman, the star offensive guard of the rival San Diego Chargers.

Great fun. Big laughs. There was just one problem. Cutler is a Type 1 diabetic, and in his pocket was his blood-sugar monitor.

"That was a prank where I thought we were smart enough to get the cellphone out of his pocket," Dielman said. "But then, 'Oops.' "
The monitor was fried by the chlorinated water. Fortunately, Hawaii has drug stores, and after a few calls here and there, Cutler was well-equipped by lunchtime Wednesday.

"It was a bad audible on our part," Manning said. "I think we were thinking right, trying to get the cellphone. Then we realize, the guy gets insulin shots. We missed that."

Make it so.

That avatar will bring a smile to my face (and probably all of GAF) until next season. :D

Back to football. I am surprised no one brought up the vast difference between how Ben stuck up for his garbage o-line the entire year and Peyton threw his under the bus after another divisional playoff loss.

Not completely football related, but pretty damn depressing.

So Costas left HBO to go the MLB network, his replacement?

Joe Buck:(

He was throwing his oline under the bus when they won two years ago, this isn't surprising :lol

damn this is like replacing satan with son of satan.

A-Rod thinks we can win with the current defensive guys we have.

He's either incredibly loyal or totally ignorant. I choose the former!

Joe Buck's presence is growing at an alarming rate. Something must be done. Old man Buck probably had dirt on a lot of people and blackmailed everyone before he died to give his son good positions. He then probably passed on that info to Buck so now he has free reign to do anything.

Doesn't make me feel so bad about not having HBO anymore.

You still don't have Entourage though
unless your a heathen that doesn't like Entourage
. I never got into anything sports related on HBO besides boxing events so this doesn't effect me, in fact I don't really know who Joe Buck is, probably just some more kneejerk reactionary hate like Farve and LT gets.
