Yankees are just using this as an excuse to be "tired" for the next three days so they can have Proctor start every game.
they should trade him to the phillies

Bullshit. His team did their job by clinching early, it's not on them to decide who gets to be the wild card.

they gotta go out and fucking play, does this look like playing to you?
edit: better yet, does getting into a 13 inning game during yet another double header make sense?

They should, but he gets to put resting his players the priority over playing all your starters. That's the advantage of controlling your own destiny.

Girardi is just trying to handicap for the fact that the Red Sox are currently playing both Lars Anderson and Carl Crawford. He's a good man.

Pretty hilarious that it's gone on this long, though. At best both teams are exhausted and depleted for tomorrow when the Sox need both teams to win.

fake edit: fucking retire McClelland

why is it that we have really old umpires still umpiring? they must have really bad eye sight by now.

Is a K/BB ratio really a better statistic than a K-BB differential? Seems that the latter would do a better job accounting for how good a pitcher was at limiting baserunners.

So the last 3 innings the Yanks have used a rejected Rays pitcher and a rejected Mariners pitcher.
The Sox's need the rejected Braves pitcher to get over it seems.

They need to bring in Proctor as a pinch hitter.
