She looks great too. Seems she's shaven off a few pounds since the last set of performances.inthezone said:How I Roll Tour rehearsal

I was often wondering how a HIR performance would be on tour and this is 100x more fun than I imagined. She looks like she's having tons of fun. No 2001ney here but hey Im happy she's loving it.
Everyone says Criminal sounds like old school Britney but I personally don't see the resemblance. The closest to her earlier days for me would be I Wanna Go, it's bubblegummy pop in some parts.Syphon Filter said:I've yet to hear the album, from the tracks i have heard it seems like it will be a great album. Any tracks similar to old school Britney?
Where are these? I've only heard the instrumentals, which, by the way, are amazing.inthezone said:Anyone has heard the main vocal edits of Femme Fatale. Definetely shows she can sing and the vocal layerings are done to enhance the track. She even said so herself how she prefers weird vocal effects on her tracks.

Inside Out or I Wanna Go would've been the perfect choices. BFB is one of the lowest selling FF tracks on itunes despite the big push the song had.

I rather hear Inside Out on the radio.
I'm not gonna lie. These titles and records mean nothing to me anymore. A day doesn't go by or Rihanna, Bieber, Ke$ha, Gaga, Britney, ... can claim some kind of "record". It's obvious that a combination of (1) today's tracking methods for top lists and (2) today's marketing machine from big artists have made it a lot easier to propel a song to "record highs" no matter how significant the song actually will prove to be in the long run.inthezone said:Yeah everybody is gonna come out with their own uptempos for the summer so Inside Out would be rather refreshing to hear.
Speaking of radio, Till The World Ends will soon become Britney's biggest radio hit ever (her biggest being Toxic). Pretty impressive.

I'm guessing this too.Souldriver said:Aren't they just banking on the fact that Will.i.am is in the song? I wonder what the single choosing process is like.
Unfortunately, the radio edit will most likely not remove the biggest problem with the song.OchreHand said:i do hope there's a radio edit for Big Fat Bass because the song drags. It's too repetitive, even for a pop song. Also Britney sounds a little like Nicole from Pussy Cat Dolls in this (who is trying to re-start her solo career)
Souldriver said:Totally unrelated, but in this song the moment they sing "When I found a new calling to god", all I hear is Britney Spears.

Am i crazy, or does this indeed sound like Britney?![]()
I would be surprised if Trip to your Heart becomes a single. It doesn't sound like single material. It's by far my fav song of the album though. <3inthezone said:Cant really hear Brit in there man lol
Britney.com uploaded a poll asking fans what the next single should be. "I Wanna Go" has a big fat lead over everything. In fact, the most popular songs after IWG are Trip To Your Heart, Criminal and Inside Out but they're all under 15%

Never been a huge Britney fan but there's some real good radio/dance material here. I Wanna Go could be MASSIVE in clubs with a slight remix. That chorus is golden.
Till the World Ends continues the industry's current obsession with choral "woooo ohhhhh"'s but it's good stuff. Hold It Against Me just tears it up during the second half where the beat kicks in with the chorus - clever production as it offers incentive to keep listening.

Britney Spears Confirms I Wanna Go As The Next Single
From Her Platinum-Certified Album "Femme Fatale"
"Till The World Ends" Currently #1 Dance Song in The U.S.
New York, NY - Pop icon Britney Spears confirms that the summer-friendly, up-tempo I Wanna Go is the official third single from her platinum-certified Femme Fatale (Jive Records). I Wanna Go is produced by Shellback, Savan Kotecha and long-time collaborator Max Martin. Innovative director Chris Marrs Piliero has been tapped to direct the video.
I Wanna Go comes on the heels of her most recent No. 1 smash hits, Hold It Against Me and Till The World Ends which ranks #1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. Both songs are from Britney's critically acclaimed seventh album. Billboard also notes that Till The World Ends coupled with the remix featuring Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha gives Spears a radio audience of 87 million in the U.S., which is the highest weekly audience of her 12-and-a-half-year chart career.
Britneys Femme Fatale Tour with special guest Nicki Minaj, Jessie and the Toy Boys and Nervo kicks off June 16th in Sacramento, CA.

By the time you read this, Britney Spears will have scored her sixth #1 debut with Femme Fatale, her latest installment of supersonic, stealth-fighter pop, a collection of songs equipped with laser-guided, heat-seeking hit missiles. In fact, Femme Fatale is more like an F-22 Raptor than an album.
Maybe I shouldnt be amazed that Brit finds herself atop the charts once again, but dont we live in austere times? Arent Odd Future the only thing that matters these days?
Im only sort of kidding. Because, frankly, each and every time Britney lands another #1, its kind of like weve traveled through a wormhole and ended up in 1999, a time when the industry was still flush with cash and Lou Pearlman still lumbered the land. This was only 12 years ago, but it may as well have been 12 million.
These days, we still have plenty of pure pop stars, though none of them are quite like Britney. Lady Gaga is into performance art. Katy Perry is the California Gurl. Pink is the punky older cousin with a ton of tattoos. As is often the case with evolution, they have each developed specialized traits in order to survive. Britney is, in a lot of ways, the origin of the species (for simplicitys sake, Im just ignoring Madonna, who basically did everything before any of this generations stars were even teething). She was and, I suppose, still is the music industrys first attempt to promote a star that is everything to everyone. And each and every time she surfaces with a new album in tow, it signals the return of pops Mesozoic era. For all intents and purposes, she may spend her time between albums trapped in amber, waiting to have her DNA extracted by some scientist.
This is by no means meant to come across as a slight against Spears. I fully understand why her fans love her the way they do, not to mention the fact that Femme Fatale is a heck of a pop record, a starry shadowbox of the coolest sounds youre likely to hear all year. Its more me simply marveling at the way she operates in the cockpit of a high-powered fighter, making glossy, big-budget videos, putting on full-scale pop spectacles. There truly, honestly isnt anyone else like her.
We should take this opportunity to appreciate what Britney Spears and her album represent. She is the last super-pop star left standing. There was a time when everyone did things this way; now its her and her alone. Spears is still everything to everyone, in a time when all we hear about are niche markets and splintered genres, and for that alone, the success of Femme Fatale is noteworthy. Can she continue to survive among her more specialized peers? Shes certainly earned the right to, though one gets the feeling shes probably not too worried about that fact. The thing about being the first is that there isnt really anything or anyone to compete against. So let others sweat the small stuff; Britneys only concerned with being Britney. Now and forever.
Love these pictures of Godney mingling with mortals.inthezone said:
