With the flood of new Xbox 360 videos we're getting and a bunch of other stuff, I thoguth it was time to make this thread.
Instead of bringing back the old thread that had only the torrents i felt a new one was
needed to include DC also.

You use this tracker for anything, demos, movies, trailer, movie trailers. The tracker is open to the public for anyones use, they don't have to be a member of GAF.

the torrent doesn't show up on the page until it gets the first seeder, this is an anti spam measure. You must use the .torrent you uploaded to become a seeder and once you connect to the tracker it will show up on the page.

you can probably remove the DOA4 warning thing - I think the forum no longer cares about those images now. I haven't read a comment on those in awhile

No offense.. but doesn't that pretty much apply to everything we're dealing with.. I mean, it's not a backup when you give it to someone else (I guess if they have it already maybe).. hides

I got BCDC++ 0.674b and I tried to join the eee.kick-ass.org channel...but it says:

Any ideas?
 
I'm going to try to set up my DC++ here. Any recommendations on which one's that best? There's a long list from that FAQ page.
 
20 MB minimum share rating for DC++ channel. That's fucking stupid, considering I just downloaded DC++ and I have shared nothing yet. I'm supposed to find some random ass hub and share some shit just so I can get into the channel? Lame.
 
You don't have 20 mb of media on your hard drive? Set your shared folders and have your DC app scan them.

Ok, I was thinking of a share rating like in other programs, where you have to have already uploaded 20 MB of data already before you can access the hub. Hell yeah I've got 20 MB of media to share! Heh, thanks for clearing that up.
 
Share limit has been changed for DC++.

your router is acting as a firewall.

easiest solution: change settings to passive in DC++ config.

less easy solution: config both your router and DC++ to forward TCP and UDP ports (choose any arbitrary port that isnt used by something else). being in active mode will let you connect to more users.
 
Nice of you to have listed GMM, but it's not really the same thing as a free for all upload site. On GMM I actually host the files, seed the torrents (it's in fact xboxyde with another skin, they share the same code). So if anyone has a really interesting video he wants to get hosted (3 download servers plus torrent), just send me a PM here, or email me (webmaster @ gamesmediamirror.com), use smoke signals, whatever :)
I might add a upload file feature in the near future though. Of course it will always require my validation before being put online on the site.
 
can't get the DC to work using Direct Connect on OSX

Made a shared folder over 170mb still did not get rid of the come back message :(

so I will torrent

I connected fine last year on OSX, I am on my PC right now though. DOuble check you are indexing the correct folder as your share folder. remember the DL and Share are not the same by default
 
I dunno, DC++ seems pretty hard to find stuff if you're after something specific. Is there a way to search what the people in the hub have, or do I just randomly view everyones files?

once you search, you can choose from one of your favorite hubs to search in only
 
in DC+, is the sharing mechanic less robust than say torrent? It seems to be 1 on 1 file grabbing isn't it? How different is this from say IRC?
 
I'll be on the DC++ as much as I can, but because I've got a pretty crap upload speed in comparison to everyone else, I'll be sharing all the files from my website, as well as add new files while the Expo is on.

I'll have a little text file in the main directory called "E3 2005 Updates.txt" which shows what I've updated in this directories, but not on the site yet.

I've got access to Nintendo's US press site, and plenty of European press sites, but if anyone can give me access to other US ones [or at least a Link so I can try and get in through the E3 rush :)], it would be greatly appreciated. I'm sticking to torrents since I refuse to get DC++. BTW, SEED MOTHERFUCKERS! Don't be a douche, seed. It's not like the MPAA or RIAA gives a crap about gaming media. :lol PEACE.
 
Can someone explain DC++ to a semi-retarded individual? Which download program do I get from the huge list? What is that ***-ages link about?

titaniumtorrents delivered over 1/2 a terabyte of data through torrents and had over 6,000 impressions at the end of the day (not one person clicked on an ad :sigh: :lol :lol )

E3 is over and both the torrent and DC were very successful.

By the end of the three days the torrents page has delivered over 1 terabyte of Data to users. The torrent page will remain after E3 to serve as a massive media hub for gaming videos, demos and techology media.
The torrent page will soon be more integrated with the parent site (titaniumforums) so forums will blend with torrents fluidly.
 
The database will likely go down several times today. We're working on making a better site, so just chill.

How do you like the new look?
