Official Destiny Alpha Withdrawal Thread

Well, maybe he said that by mistake or wasn't really paying attention to what he says :)
At least I hope so... I was counting so much on raids and the info with only one raid just kinda let me down :(
Don't get me wrong, Destiny will blow me away and I will spend with it hundreds of hours, but it would be nice to have something more to do in end-game, than just one raid :)

Here is the interview with Angry Joe if someone didn't saw it:

I don't know what Bungie's plans are post-launch but MMOs usually launch with one raid dungeon and more are added over time. Maybe Bungie are doing the same?

In Men's too. Bungie pls

So get this...

Beta Release --> Gone out of town for my Fiance's wedding shower all weekend.

Full Release --> The week of my wedding, followed by my honeymoon.

Which is to say, the game is wholly irrelevant by comparison to these great events, but... It certainly is quite the coincidence how they lined up perfectly. Funny how that happens! Guess I'll be delaying my entry into the game, but I'll come back a married man!
A true
forever alone
gamer would delay these piddly 'life events' for the beta and launch, man...

No, I'm not serious.

Which is why the purchase is a "may." :)

I honestly have no idea. I wasn't even in the Alpha clan.

Oh, ok. You made the Alpha impressions thread, so just thought I'd ask. PsychoRaven made the alpha one and said he would spend time setting up the new clan, but he didn't do it yet.

He's been pretty active in this thread, and the alpha thread itself too.

Oh, ok. I didn't know his GAF user name.

I was going to include this in my writeup of impressions of the alpha, but seemed like there was plenty of that already and that thread died, so I'll just post this here instead.

Hope this feels like a quick month. Curious what else we will be seeing in the beta.

FML... I went to the PSN store to pre-order the game and got the PS3 version by accident.... Ugh.

Called Sony and opened a ticket with "accounting" which will take 7 days. Sigh

The wait will let me get further in Y's Celcetta and maybe even finish Infamous: SS so I can finally say I've finished an Infamous game (owned all except FoB).

I loved my time with this. Now its back to not having much to play :( I've been sitting watching footage I captured over and over again.

I almost don't want to play the upcoming beta because I don't want all my progress to be wiped again. When the full game comes out it will be my third time starting from the beginning.

The gap between the beta and the full game is going to be much easier for me than this gap between alpha and beta. I'll have TLOU and Diablo to take me through to September 9th. I'm having a seriously hard time enjoying my current slate of games (Watch Dogs and Transistor) after playing that alpha.

I've found no enjoyment in my other games since the alpha ended, this month until the beta is going to be slow.

Same, I picked up watchdogs when the beta ended to have something to do on the weeekend. Would really just prefer to play the alpha more.

In the Jason Jones video when he is talking about the Vault of Glass raid they show a clip of 4+ guardians jumping on disappearing platforms together. Man, I love the idea of raids but I really hate platforming in an FPS...please Bungie don't put too much of that in.

So to help deal with the withdrawal I bought a Vita yesterday. Currently playing Persona 4. Damn fun game.

Heh, I've been playing Persona 3 Portable (already finished P3FES once though) on Vita ever since the Alpha ended. And some Mario Kart 8. But I need the Beta to start !

It blows my mind that just a week ago people were really down on this game, and now there is a 16 page long withdrawal thread. It is amazing what getting a game into peoples hands can do.

That was something that was said often though. That Destiny was a game that you really have to play to "get." However the public is finicky and often times cynical by nature (especially enthusiasts).
