Are people really complaining about a companion they don't like appearing on the Sarah Jane Adventures? Do people in this thread actually regularly watch it? It's even worse than Torchwood, in an apples to oranges sort of way.

The new style Daleks have a real eye at the end of their stalk. It should blink, otherwise there would be loads of Daleks driving about with sore eyes.

Maybe that's why they're so angry all the time?

I liked Graham Norton's special guest appearance near the end.

How awful was that. Appearing at such a key point in the actual episode too :lol Shame on the BBC.

That was such a naff thing to do; though I suspect its to hit those that download off the torrents the following day or those that kept the shows on video/dvdr instead of buying them on dvd proper

What was this guest appearance? I didnt notice anything but I may have just been engrossed in the story. :lol
A massive banner appeared at the bottom of the screen saying that Graham Norton was on next, at the tense moment at the end were the doctor said "You made one error in this trap"

On BBC1 they had a stupid banner with a stupid cartoon Graham Norton advertising Over the Rainbow literally during the Doctor's monologue right at the end, a key moment of the episode.

For shame, BBC.

Thanks for the info, I think I blanked it out, thats really stupid though, must have really ruined the atmosphere for everyone that noticed it. How the hell did I miss that, maybe I was just taking the story mechanic really seriously and staring at the angels?

Remember guys, dont look into Nortans eyes. :lol

Sorry the the second question, but Keyser Soze what was the Silence in the Library reference to this episode? It would be insane if he had this planned lol.

They brought it up in Confidential.... In Silence in the Library River Song read stuff from her diary, and mentioned "Crash of the Byzantium," which turned out to be the planet this episode was set on, and what it was about.

Ah thats really cool, I think im going to back and rewatch that episode for any other potential little hints to the future. Even if he didnt plan it then, hes probaby going to try and stay true to what he said.

Moffat knew he was gonna be getting the Exec job when he wrote that episode, I believe. So he could've planned it out.

Brilliant episode, went really quickly for me as I was so engrossed. I love the little ideas that are dotted about, like the military priests and uses of fruit as year-identifiers.

River Song is a joy to see again, as are the weeping angels. Looking forward immensly to part two.

Also - in DW: Confidential, did anyone notice the behind the scenes footage where that little girl goes up to Matt Smith and says "Hello Doctor"?

I am going to throw out that River Song is Jenny (or some relation to Jenny thanks to time travel)... I dont even know if that is possible, but I want an "I told you so" if it comes to pass.

Um what?

The doctor marries his daughter?

Um what?

They married? I though that was just joked at... anyway, I just have a feeling there is some Jenny connection to tidy up the River storyline.

Yeah, how rude was that? She should have said "Oi Matt, move it!"

An excellent episode, but let's be honest here; the whole church-as-military thing was just so they could call one of them "Bishop", wasn't it?

Also, I think I spotted a reference to Curse of Fatal Death, but it's been a while since I saw the latter so it might just be similar (no, not enough of a reference to render CoFD canon :)

That was one hell of an ending.

Excellent episode from top-to-bottom, i was gripped throughout and the quick pacing made it seem like it took no time at all. I also loved the relationship between River and the Doctor, and the way Moffat expanded on the already brilliant Weeping Angels.

Loved it. And I love me some confidential, too.

Me and my flatmates are gonna do bingo cards/a drinking game:

Drink one for popular music track being used as background, drink two if there's a tenuous link to the theme of the montage.
Drink if you spot the sexual tension on set. You'll pretty much be downing the bottle.
Drink one if Danny is making a rig for a physical effect. Two if it's a spark, air-cannon or uses a water-tank.

Dayum! Classic episode, loved Amy slowly realising that the video was moving, and I loved how Moffat has grown the angels, and totally agree on the alien vs aliens comparison he made

Just finished watching, what an excellent episode. That Graham Norton thing wasn't on my BBC1 NI recording thank god.

I never got the River Song backlash by some impatient fans, I always thought it was a great idea for a character in Doctor Who, someone who has the upper hand in their mutual timeline. It also nicely complements Amy's painful temporal relationship with the Doctor.
