As much as I enjoyed the game I was looking forward to beating it and then unlocking everything I missed later on.. turns out I can't because I was too stupid to realize I wouldn't get my dog back

we really need to be able to eventually choose all 3 wishes.. if I beat the game and I want to continue playing why should it be so restricting?

Well it told you you'd lose your dog if you didn't chose
Love.

If you could chose all three (without glitch) then they wouldn't have any meaning, and the purpose of the game is to have choices that matter.

It's called sacrifice for a reason. I chose love, since in real life it's probably what I would have done.

gah! this is the buggiest game I think I've ever played!!

locked up on me a few times, and things constantly burn into the screen!

It currently says on top "Buy more furniture from the furniture shop if you want to update that item" of my screen for the past hour! And I've shut down and restarted like 4 times!!

Any suggestions on how to get this to vanish or am i stuck with that the whole game?
I'm too far to want to start over already :(

My buddy had the "buy more furniture" glitch like you. He went and bought a piece of furniture for his house and it went away. So maybe do what it is asking you?

I had this same bug also, to fix it i bought a home and went inside into redecorate mode and then left.

You're right, but you're sacrificing for what? People to love you? Nothing in the game changes other than their moods which can be changed on a dime its a really shitty ending to a game I liked

Out of all 3 the middle one is the most game changing choice you could make it'd be nice if they made it a bit more obvious

I don't know, I didn't choose it, but I assumed that
Hammer's dad would come back to life, among other people that might effect some end game
. Did that not happen?

I just did that though and its still there.

Maybe I have to buy furniture? Argh how annoying is this?!

Where's the Tomb of Archon? Do I have to be passed a certain story part in the game to access it? Here's where I'm at in the main storyline:
I'm currently on The Spire

Go to Brightwood tower, you probably have to fight some of Lucien's guys. It's hard to say where it is, but I think it's before you actually enter the tower. Look at the railing, there should be a section where it's broken. Go there and jump down. You'll be in the Archon's Knot Tomb, and have to go through a series of relatively easy puzzles. At the end, there's a chest, that does not contain the legendary weapon. When you exit the dungeon, it should be around somewhere, impossible to miss, before you vault down to a camp (or something I guess). I did it after that Spire mission.

See if it works, if you haven't done it already.

Gaaahhhh, I'm doing a civil reassignment job or so I think it's called, and I CAN'T find anyone with a monocle for the life of me. Anyone know where I can find one of these monocled bastards?

Also... she don't photograph well but here's my "Butcher" just about pure evil. Apparently she's so evil she can't show her face?

Just finished the game, overall I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now to jump back in and build up my empire and finish up the rest of the side stuff.

It seems to me that the more I play and the further I get into it, the buggier it gets. I didn't have many issues at all at the beginning, but it's very noticeable now.

Some of the more annoying ones are getting that sword (that you get for donating at the temple) any time I visit Oakfield... which is where my family lives. I also can't get any furniture from the Bowerstone shop. I'm late into the game now so I can go to the other furniture shop, but I haven't been able to buy any before that. Oh, and one time my dog disappeared which forced me to restart the game.

There are other little minor quibbles with regards to emotion sounds not always working properly, some stuttering issues (and conversation issues) when starting up a new side quest, and other little things.

Now don't get me wrong, I list these bugs and such but the game is still fantastic. This is of course coming from a huge fan of the original. There are noticeable bugs, but nothing that hampers the enjoyment (unless you're unfortunate enough to get that game breaking bug, I don't even know where it comes about). So there are bugs yes, but none the less I love the game.

I have been playing this game since yesterday. What I have experienced sofar is nothing short of briliant. If en when Nintendo are making a new Zelda they should take a very good look at this game. Especially for how well and immersive all the towns are. The townspeople flocking around you either cursing you out or halling you as the second coming.

Everything feels so organic. And even though the people you meet might repeat themselves - like in every other game - how they respond to you is really incredible.

Well enough of this. The thing is this game is Xbox' Zelda. I hope that the next itteration will allow you to ride that great minecart, that I saw in Oakfield.

My stomach turns to mush when I think about a Zelda game like this...

<3 <3 <3

I just finished the game.

I enjoyed the first one but didn't think it was an exceptional game so I wasn't too hyped about Fable II. I didn't look at any screenshots, I didn't read any previews or watch any videos - I went in blind. This single player story was nothing short of brilliant but I do wish it was longer. The journey I went on with my character actually felt real for once. Something I have experienced in a game before. I'm happy that there is still so much more for me to do!!

This may even edge out LBP as my game of the year.

People are done with this game already? o_O"
I'm like 6 hours in and am nowhere near done with the storyline...been sidetracked too many times lol.

I've been playing for about five or six hours and ran into a crazy bug with the ghost who wants revenge on his bride. Now my character is haunted:

I told Alex I'd marry her, gave her a ring I'd found with my dog, took her into my house, but couldn't get her to marry me. The game kept telling me to go to the jeweler and buy her a ring. I went to the jeweler and bought every ring there but the quest would not progress. The light trail just kept leading to the jeweler.

Finally, I was able to marry her after focusing on some other quests for a while. But after we got married, all of a sudden it gave me the option (AGAIN) to tell her I wanted to marry her or give her the letter. At this point I was tired of the quest and just wanted to get rid of her. So I give her the letter and she runs off.

I figured that was the end of her. I went to see the ghost afterward, and she was there, in ghost form, and ran away when she found out what we had done. I felt bad because I was trying to keep my character "good."

Anyhow, I go back to my house and WHAT THE HELL? She's there walking around outside the front door in non-dead form. It shows that we're still married, but she won't follow me when I ask her to. She walks around the corner, I follow her, and she's gone! This has happened several times. She just disappears.

So yeah, I'm haunted by a glitch.

Type (spoiler) (/spoiler), but with brackets [] instead of parentheses ().

Sorry if it's been answered before, but how do you bartend? Do you have to own the bar or something? I didn't see any glowing sign to do it like there is for blacksmithing or wood chopping.

Think it just has to be a certain time of day. I notice the Bowerstone bar only lets me tend it at night, while the Bloodstone one seems to be free to try out any time I visit.

My kid has gotten through the first dungeon and beat the first mini-boss dude (to open the road to Bowerstone). I haven't played yet, I'lll be starting my game tonight. Loving what I've seen so far.

I am pretty sure its quest sensitive. I just found
Garth and then he was taken away
. After that I saw in my job menu that I could bartend.

I didn't know that if do evil things that everyone automatically hates me :( Is there a way to bring up everyone's love for me while still being evil?

Anyone who has the 5 Hero Dolls achievement wanna trade them to me and then I'll give em back for the achievement? Would be a great help :)

Picked it up the other day on a whim and wasn't expecting to like it all that much. Absolutely fell in love with the game though, the opening sequence with the snow covered town really drew me right in from the start.

Actually I'm just going to start my second hero and play with them until the bug is fixed (unless I run into ANOTHER bug :lol )

First hero was going to be male ranged shooter good person

this one will be an evil female magic user :lol :D

I'd like this to happen as well. Surely GAF can organize a "Pay it Forward" Hero doll list or something.

Would you guys mind using the spoiler tags a little more? I've only just started and the very top of this page has a couple of things I didn't want to know.

First impressions? Well, Cocopjojo was right about the glitches, there are so many of them it's unreal. The dog floating, the dogs neck becoming invisible, text staying on the screen, people walking through doors, the main character getting stuck. Lionhead should really have a think about how they approach their programming from the very start of projects to minimise this sort of thing, everything seems very lightweight and breakable. Nothing feels very solid. The menu system is pretty nasty too.

Having said that, it's an excellent game. The characters are fantastic, and there is so much to do. Combat is fun, though has a few part Lionhead should have ironed out (I'm looking at you, spell changing) the enviroments are so impressive, and everything oozes atmosphere. I'm having loads of fun!

Question: Does the co-op patch do any bug fixing at all?

I have 2 dolls, the hammer doll and i forget the name of the other one. IF you have the other ones we could help each other.

Why are some of us experiencing insane glitches while others havent had any problems whatsoever aside from the occasional XBL friend orbs not being able to hear you?

No bugs yet! Hope I don't see any either. :lol

Well, I'm playing an un-updated NTSC-J copy of the game. At this point, I think it's more to do with peoples definitions of glitches. I can't see how some peoples games have as many bugs as mine, and some peoples have no bugs at all.

I mean, I consider a bug to be - the 'Search' text still popping up for a second after you've already opened a chest. Even though it has no effect on the gameplay, I consider that a bug.
