Official Fable II Thread

Wow, I just did
the Spire
, that was great. Is there a way to change what trophies you show?

Now he shows the broken collar, but the Crucible trophy gets me more renown. I can select the trophy from the menu and have him show that, but just picking trophy in the expressions menu has him flaunt the collar.

I notice my dog disappears a lot. I think it tends to happen the most when it's injured, because it limps and lags behind.

Does the Dog Elixir go away after 1 use, or is it unlimited use?

Is it me? Or does the flame augment I put in my weapon not do anything? Or maybe it does but there is no flame graphic of any kind on my weapon/weapon hits. Kind of lame :/ I was expecting some kind of elemental flashiness like Diablo 2.

Well, I'm playing an un-updated NTSC-J copy of the game. At this point, I think it's more to do with peoples definitions of glitches. I can't see how some peoples games have as many bugs as mine, and some peoples have no bugs at all.

I mean, I consider a bug to be - the 'Search' text still popping up for a second after you've already opened a chest. Even though it has no effect on the gameplay, I consider that a bug.

Well I havent seen any fused children and furniture, floating dogs, or things of that sort. Some kids got stuck in a vocal "you cant catch me!" loop, but thats about it.

Oh and scanning through the strategy guide while picking up LBP, I noticed that some enemies in Fable II are actually weak against certain elements. Also whether you are good or evil seems to come into effect when damaging certain enemies. Noticed some legendary weapons are more suited towards evil, good, pure, or corrupt characters as well.

Does anyone know if I can set houses on fire with the Inferno spell?
Haven't had a chance to try it out..I only have the Blade one.

I've had the floating dog a couple times. Easily fixed by simply saving and quitting to the menu screen, and reloading.

I wish that was the case as well.

I didn't think i'd play the wife stuff. I thought it was silly. So explain to me why, after only an afternoon of play I found myself barging into a farmers home, seducing his wife, seducing the guard that came to arrest me for tresspassing and then having unprotected sex with the farmers wife on his bed? He told me to leave afterwards, obviously. I feel dirty. And I lost some animal magnetism trait.

Interesting game y'all got here. I wonder if a right wing news outlet will go mad with this?

Awesome game though, very much enjoying. Proper thoughts later, promise!

I had that too while blacksmithing. Most annoying half an hour in a game ever.

Luckily the rest of the game is insanely awesome.

(thats a nice shirt/coat).

High Rollers coat from pub games. Also, is there more pieces to the Assassin's set besides the coat? I've finished the game, and have yet to see any other pieces.

By pub games you mean the XLA game or the games that you can play in Fable 2 ?

:lol Same thing happened at the blacksmith for me as well, about 3 times, I nearly turned off my safety and shut them up.

Curious about that too.

Question regarding game progression...
I have been doing side-quests and stuff rather than going to become one of Lucien's guard with Hammer because she talked about not coming back... is that true? Will I be unable to return to the mainland or is it just talk in case I were to die kind of not coming back?

This game is a perfect example why noble heroes dont stick around. Sure the rest of the world is nice and happy but you are fucked forever, your life is screwed, gone, without meaning. Might as well just sit in some shack somewhere and wait to die.

Don't worry, you come back.

whats the fastest way to become 100% pure and good?

Use pub games cheat to get a ton of gold. Spend that gold bit by bit at the temple of light to get xp and points towards being good. Buy a house and keep sleeping in that bed to increase purity, oh also you can eat vegetables to get purity as well tofu gives you good points also.

It's also easy to buy all the wagons in the gypsy town and decrease the rent of all of them.

Awesome game gets more awesomer... except...

The goddamn map. Along with the no checkpoint insanity of GTAIV, this is a perfect example of a AAA developer forgetting basic game design 101. Like what the hell were they thinking? Nothing on the maps is labelled, you can't zoom in, you can't see neighbouring regions, and you can't see an Albion map.

Sure, you can get around with the maps and teleporting eliminates the need for a map altogether, but without a proper map I just don't get that epic feel like I got from Oblivion.

Fucking awesome game tho. Exceeded my already high expectations.

Hopefully that'll be patched in. Teleporting is convenient...but I really like to travel to my destinations the old fashioned way.

Peter is no moron. Immediately afterward the game autosaves.

Seriously? That is just a stupid design decision right there, especially since you're limited to one save slot per character.

I just got married once, and it seems demanding. They always want you to visit them, and give them attention.

I have like 4 or 5 wives now and 2 kids, they never complain because i keep the house income like 10x of what they like. I hardly ever visit them i just find me a new whore each city or town i go too.

It's not stupid, it's smart. Too many people just reload a save to try all the choices in a game, making them less meaningful. Forcing people to commit to a decision makes them take it more seriously.

No chance in hell of a minimap getting patched in.

I'm not sure if I want one or not, though.

No, the way to do that is like the Witcher, where the consequences to your actions and choices aren't seen or felt for hours of play.

This is essentially punishment for experimentation. Not cool. What if he just wanted to see what his character would look like as a female?

Not minimap, just zooming in on the big map. I dont want a minimap taking up any space on the screen.

Off-topic: LBP's manual has special thanks to Peter Molyneux
