I suddenly have an interest in picking up some hot fries. Just wish I could score an early copy of the game as well...SanjuroTsubaki said:Finally!

The impression I received from one of the videos (trying to find the one atm) is that there will be dogs around in the city and you can make one of them yours. But...in the video where Peter first introduced the dog, he says that the dog is unique in that nobody's dog will look like yours and that it will change depending on how you act in the game (from sheep dog to doberman in looks). So how there will be dogs in the city and you chose one seems to be wrong. Hopefully one of our comrades will be able to fully answer that question because I was curious about the same thing, especially naming the dog. It would be strange if you couldn't, especially since it seems like Peter likes to make the gaming experience to be a personal and realistic one as well.Wizman23 said:Kind of a stupid question but do we get to name our dog and pick out what kind of dog it is?
Same thing for kids do we to name them?

plus I refuse to play any game with a fart action.
Well I figured it was probably wrong by simple deduction of the "your dog is unique" comment by Peter. I'm not sure where I got it from, probably because frankly I've seen so many videos on the game some of it ran together. Maybe from the video about your dog waiting outside in the city or something, who knows. Either way, thanks for the clarification on the naming aspect of things.Tiamatsword22 said:I don't know where you got that, but everything I've seen says you meet the dog in one of the childhood missions. You can't choose what it looks like initially, but it will morph based on your actions. And yes, you can name every NPC in the game including your dog.

Awesome! Sounds like Peter succeeded in his quest to have you get emotionally attached to the dog.Hero of Canton said:And you'll love him, too. I know this because I found myself muttering 'good boy' whenever he discovered a decent treasure. I feel no shame in admitting this.
:lol No reason to be ashamed. I know I'll find myself doing the same thing once I get my hands on the game. Thanks for the info and the clarification of things. I can't wait to play!Hero of Canton said:No, you get a dog from the outset - it's the same dog for everyone, but he'll change according to your character and how you treat him.

Also, I just got intoand I am immediately impressed by the amount of people and shops (have seen at least six different ones). The city is definitely impressive.Bowerstone,
Also, I didn't mention the housing market earlier? Every piece of property has a deed on it where it lists:
Base value
Decoration
Town Economy
Not Vacant
Owners Killed
Hero Opinion
All of those things are added up and that gives you the final selling price. And apparently the town economy will fluctuate based on what sort of trading you do within the town (ripping people off, giving them good deals).

Wait, what? What are you talking about?SanjuroTsubaki said:I really like the orbs of the other players around you in the game. It turns the single player experience slightly massive in a way which is nice to combat boredom. Once I realized they could hear me in market while doing my blacksmith job..."Whattda Buyin?"
I turned my "Online Orbs" in options to everyone. So I see people's avatars walking about where they would be. You can talk to them as well in proximity it seems.Cocopjojo said:Wait, what? What are you talking about?
I knew about the first part... but as to the second part: No freakin' way.SanjuroTsubaki said:I turned my "Online Orbs" in options to everyone. So I see people's avatars walking about where they would be. You can talk to them as well in proximity it seems.
You till in the town? Meet me at the center.Cocopjojo said:I knew about the first part... but as to the second part: No freakin' way.
I'm at the center now. I see two orbs working at the blacksmith, but no others.SanjuroTsubaki said:You till in the town? Meet me at the center.
hunt down Peter M before the game comes out and trash talk him?Cocopjojo said:Me and Sanjuro just met at the town center and talked. He's not even on my friends list.... :lol This is NUTS.
There are orbs all over the place doing random things. And by "orbs," I mean the person's gamerpic. It is awesome.
They are just orbs. They don't interfere with much of anything.~Kinggi~ said:I cant imagine playing with ORBS set to everyone once the game releases....you wouldn even be able to move it would be so dense.
