This is my first time playing Fable and I am loving it so far.
My only minor complaints is that it's easy to get stuck into things, and the graphics are a bit meh, other than that, it's quite an amazing game, and holy shit at the art, some of the best I seen.

F- you all. I'm broke as hell and really, really want this game. 
I actually took a 5 day weekend from work the week that Fable 1 came out. I got it Wednesday morning at 1am and beat it Saturday night. Was disappointed at how short it was, but I ended up making it last 25 hours from playing with the side stuff.
Really really expecting a lot from this now.

Suprised no one has taken the task of dressing up their character like famous RPG heroes. Im sure Link is doable. Adol from Ys and some of the Dragon Quest main characters as well...that is if there is actual armor in the game.
There are actual helmets and armor pieces in game right? Or is it all cloth and leather based?

So anyway, question is, what's a good allowance? I'm making about 900g per tick from real estate, and I saw the "default" allowance was set to like 20g daily, which is far too low. I set it to 75g, which is much higher than the default, but still "feels" low. Will it be sufficient for my farm wife?
The woman I married was apparently already married to some dude. I walked in her house and started wooing her, telling jokes, giving gifts, telling pick-up lines, etc. Every time I would, this other dude that was in the house was like "Hey! Don't you go getting any ideas about my wife!" Ha. What's even funnier is that when I'd do certain things, like dance, he would like it too and his Love meter would climb :lol :lol

I married her. Turns out to be a mistake. I married Florica the Gypsy later on and it turned out to be the best thing I could have done. Alex hates sex, Florica loves it. I have children with both. Whenever I return home, Alex is angry to see me, says "Don't expect anything from me." in an angry tone then compliments me. Florica on the other hand is always happy to see me and has potions and gifts for me all the time. I want to be good, so I need to figure out how to off Alex in a non bad way...? (And when I do, can I keep the child and bring it home to Florica?)GDJustin said:

But on the other hand, I'm trying to play a 100% "good" character and it's clear as day that that's the "good" choice.
Although... it's not really THAT good. Marrying someone to prevent them from having their feelings hurt is a pretty evil thing to do, too.
I guess in hindsight, the whole quest is kind of evil, because you have to seduce someone for nefarious purposes.
*sigh*
I guess I'll just marry her.
i.e. can we have step-children? Children from a previous marriage that now live with our new family?
Also, when the heck will this thing grow up? They're both still cribs!

Question ONLY for those who have finished the game. Seriously, no one else read this unless you want the end game spoiled. SPOILER FOLLOWS. Read at your own risk...
If you choose either money or the needs of many, how do you continue playing without your dog? I mean, can you do any further quests that might requiring digging, or find anything that is buried? Are there archaeology quests remaining after the endgame, or is the dog no longer needed?

No, you can't. The game has no armor, no helmets (save the one in the Limited Edition I suppose...), and no capes. Perhaps you could do something to simulate it with one of the pieces, but anyway, not really.

Same for capes at least being in the coat category. Even the hero in the Guild murals has a cape.

The shooting range my suck horribly, but the 1st place prize is awesome.
Anyone know of an overview map of the entire gameworld/Albion? I bought the strategy guide and there are no maps at all in there that I have found yet. This is the second Brady Games guide I bought this year that's been a complete waste of time and money. The roads can get confusing and I refuse to play with the trail on since it takes a lot of mystery and adventure out of the game for me, but I'd really like an aerial view of which cities lie where.

For those who have finished or are near the end, does the combat ever get difficult? I have stopped leveling up my character for now in hopes of making the combat more challenging.
but they're over in a second because my character either plows right through them with the sword or picks them off perfectly from 100 feet away with a pistol.

The question I'm asking here is as self-evident / obvious as it is spoilery.
Also how's the game balance in terms of difficulty? If too easy, is there at least some worthy end-game side content?

I had a horrible experience wwith co-op. Crazy bug removed my character sound fx and the camera was pretty spastic.
Utterly adore single player though. Have bought most buildings and have a few wives. Two in the same town. Once i beat the game and have a few mil I'm gonna kill all the men and try and have a wife in every house
Also, how do you teach tricks to your dawg. Books?

A special notice to all achievement point whores --
At the end of the game you will have a choice. These are tied to 3 Achievements worth 25 points each. If you turn off the console right after that (no rush, you have plenty of time before it saves) you can go back and choose the other options one at a time. You will only have to replay about one minute of game. This way you do not have to play through the entire game 3 times to get them.
