Official Fable II Thread

talking about how you can buy brightwood tower, then sleep in the bed to go to dream world. The other place i was referring to is the castle for 1 million dollars which has an underground dungeon and gardens and such.

Oh. What secrets were you able to find in the
dream world and what property?
I went back there after completing it, but only found an emerald.

is there any way to reset the breadcrumb trail? I got mine set to the blacksmith somehow, and now I can't change it. Am I missing something?

Edit: I'm dumb. nevermind.

Open up your quests and select the one you want to follow. You can skip right to the area if you want to, as well.

So yeah, for a person who doesn't like RPGs that much, I'm having fun so far. This is a good fill-in for LBP I guess. :)

Edit: The animation is pretty stiff though. I don't like that.

Use the "come back to my place" expression on two or more women who like you, they'll follow you, find a bed, profit. I did it with two women in Bowerstone, but see how many you can rack up. I'm pretty sure in my game I could have sex with the whole city.
Are you just talking about the follow me expression? My question is how to raise that attraction meter independently, rather than the marriage one.

Same for the dye and the doll....

Unless you have to have a certain amount of the same Hero doll to count for the achievement.

*Shining opinion about the game*

You beat the game already?

This is my first time playing Fable and I am loving it so far.

My only minor complaints is that it's easy to get stuck into things, and the graphics are a bit meh, other than that, it's quite an amazing game, and holy shit at the art, some of the best I seen.

great game.

#2, and there be spoilers here, but...
If you were married and she was happy she will be waiting for you, and if you had a kid, he will have aged and no longer be a baby. If you invested in Westcliff, you will get that money plus 10 years of interest, and Westcliff will no longer be a slum. In Oakfield, there is a new housing development. Where there once was only one or two homes, now there is an entire neighborhood.
Also, seasons have changed and things in some places will look different because of that.

Fuuuuuuuuuck. Oh yeah, #3, was it possible to have two save files/characters? I didn't see an answer to that and I'd like to create a female character.

Is this game funny? The world so far is reminding me of the Discworld series, and that game was freaking hilarious.

It is funny, but everything isn't intentionally humorous like in Discworld, it's more in the details; item descriptions, NPC comments, situations that arise with the villagers you have dealings with, etc.

Mysterious statues in the cemetary that only respond to gestures? Hmm...

Also I think im gonna wait around till dark on the path to Oakfield. Something about beware of ghost. First time going through here so dunno what im in for :D

F- you all. I'm broke as hell and really, really want this game. :D

I actually took a 5 day weekend from work the week that Fable 1 came out. I got it Wednesday morning at 1am and beat it Saturday night. Was disappointed at how short it was, but I ended up making it last 25 hours from playing with the side stuff.

Really really expecting a lot from this now.

Suprised no one has taken the task of dressing up their character like famous RPG heroes. Im sure Link is doable. Adol from Ys and some of the Dragon Quest main characters as well...that is if there is actual armor in the game.

There are actual helmets and armor pieces in game right? Or is it all cloth and leather based?

Can someone tell me how to remove the bar at the top of my screen? It has the name of a villager and a meter between good and bad.

It wasn't on there before, then I hit something and now it won't go away. Its pretty annoying...

I got married and had a kid.

The woman I married was apparently already married to some dude. I walked in her house and started wooing her, telling jokes, giving gifts, telling pick-up lines, etc. Every time I would, this other dude that was in the house was like "Hey! Don't you go getting any ideas about my wife!" Ha. What's even funnier is that when I'd do certain things, like dance, he would like it too and his Love meter would climb :lol :lol

So anyway, question is, what's a good allowance? I'm making about 900g per tick from real estate, and I saw the "default" allowance was set to like 20g daily, which is far too low. I set it to 75g, which is much higher than the default, but still "feels" low. Will it be sufficient for my farm wife?

:( :(

I REALLY don't want to marry
Alex. She's... ugly.

But on the other hand, I'm trying to play a 100% "good" character and it's clear as day that that's the "good" choice.

Although... it's not really THAT good. Marrying someone to prevent them from having their feelings hurt is a pretty evil thing to do, too.

I guess in hindsight, the whole quest is kind of evil, because you have to seduce someone for nefarious purposes.

*sigh*

I guess I'll just marry her.
I married her. Turns out to be a mistake. I married Florica the Gypsy later on and it turned out to be the best thing I could have done. Alex hates sex, Florica loves it. I have children with both. Whenever I return home, Alex is angry to see me, says "Don't expect anything from me." in an angry tone then compliments me. Florica on the other hand is always happy to see me and has potions and gifts for me all the time. I want to be good, so I need to figure out how to off Alex in a non bad way...? (And when I do, can I keep the child and bring it home to Florica?)

i.e. can we have step-children? Children from a previous marriage that now live with our new family?

Also, when the heck will this thing grow up? They're both still cribs!

Short answer: Bust out the manual.

Long answer: Just press LT again. You use LT to pay attention to certain people, whether friendly or otherwise.

If you go to Quests on the menu, there's a section for family and it'll tell you what your wife wants.

Still looking for an expert on the Fable universe's equipment variety. Would like to dress up my hero like this if possible:

2kn4uq.jpg

Give or take a few color choices.

So no one knows if you can get the wife to change her default clothes?

I have hundreds of thousands in gold. I also set her upkeep at 500 gold. But her clothes are still the same low class stuff. :p

I'm a master smith and a master woodcutter... person. :D

But when I go into my house it won't let me go to sleep. Wrrryyy. :(

Oh and how do I get her to have sex?

I have a few minor complaints so far, but I'm not far enough into the game to really say much about it yet.

The chicken suit isn't even exclusive to the website. You can buy it from the tailor in Bowerstone.
that's good to hear.

Also, when i press Sleep on my bed. it says u can't sleep. my wife wants sex. I'm there to provide but the game doesn't want me to.

Question ONLY for those who have finished the game. Seriously, no one else read this unless you want the end game spoiled. SPOILER FOLLOWS. Read at your own risk...

If you choose either money or the needs of many, how do you continue playing without your dog? I mean, can you do any further quests that might requiring digging, or find anything that is buried? Are there archaeology quests remaining after the endgame, or is the dog no longer needed?

I'm not sure, but I'm far and I haven't seen anything close to that. So far, I'm pretty disappointed in the clothing options.

No, you can't. The game has no armor, no helmets (save the one in the Limited Edition I suppose...), and no capes. Perhaps you could do something to simulate it with one of the pieces, but anyway, not really.

And they want you to be a hero? You think in a world where you can buy swords and guns at the corner market, you'd be able to snag at least a few small pieces of armor.

Same for capes at least being in the coat category. Even the hero in the Guild murals has a cape.

Anyone know of an overview map of the entire gameworld/Albion? I bought the strategy guide and there are no maps at all in there that I have found yet. This is the second Brady Games guide I bought this year that's been a complete waste of time and money. The roads can get confusing and I refuse to play with the trail on since it takes a lot of mystery and adventure out of the game for me, but I'd really like an aerial view of which cities lie where.

The henchman is based off of the heros game you are joining. Probably so that an evil character wont come into an angelic heros game and screw up his/her standings with the world :lol

shitttt, what about that sweet ass mask i gave you

For those who have finished or are near the end, does the combat ever get difficult? I have stopped leveling up my character for now in hopes of making the combat more challenging.
There are some awesome ambushes awaiting you on the path to Oakfield,
but they're over in a second because my character either plows right through them with the sword or picks them off perfectly from 100 feet away with a pistol.

No armor? :o This is sounding lame.

Alright, before I quit on this entirely, cursing, tell me this: the original Fable was hyped to have this big-ass dragon fight. The game we got was relatively short on content and of course, no dragon, massive letdown.

The question I'm asking here is as self-evident / obvious as it is spoilery.

Also how's the game balance in terms of difficulty? If too easy, is there at least some worthy end-game side content?

How the hell do you gift people? I have a master chief costume i want to give a friend.

I had a horrible experience wwith co-op. Crazy bug removed my character sound fx and the camera was pretty spastic.

Utterly adore single player though. Have bought most buildings and have a few wives. Two in the same town. Once i beat the game and have a few mil I'm gonna kill all the men and try and have a wife in every house :D

Also, how do you teach tricks to your dawg. Books?

A special notice to all achievement point whores --

At the end of the game you will have a choice. These are tied to 3 Achievements worth 25 points each. If you turn off the console right after that (no rush, you have plenty of time before it saves) you can go back and choose the other options one at a time. You will only have to replay about one minute of game. This way you do not have to play through the entire game 3 times to get them.
