I have the most annoying bug in the world in tha game. At the top it just says "Buy Furniture from the Furniture store..blah blah" and it just wont go away. Even turning off the game and reloading couldnt get rid of it. I turned off tutorials and everything else in the Options and its still there :(

and to make things worse i dont KNOW WHERE THE FUCK THE FURNITURE STORE IS
I have exactly the same bug. So fucking annoying. Restarting the game doesn't remove it either.

Edit: I somehow fixed it by entering the redecoration mode and trying to swap some of my furniture.

1. Do you have the house up for rent? It needs to have no tenats before you can make it a martial home

2. Is she actually physically following you to the place?

3. Is it an actual house and not a store?

Theres no reason it shouldn't be working if shes following you to the place.

Where can i get some celery or that magic apple pie?

also i just noticed i have an STD, (is it more like the clap or did i get the hiv and will slowly die in the game) i assume my gypsy wife gave it to me, so i cut off her money and she divorced me and left town forever leaving me stuck with the kid. Seeing that i was always gone on adventure cps stepped in and took my child away so i will never have the pleasure of seeing my 1st born son grow to be a man. :lol

Ugh sorry to hear about those bugs.

Best game of 2008 so far for me. And yes I've played Metal Gear Movie 4

I had a statue made of myslf. I posed with the burping emotion. Well at the end of posing I missed the green portion and messed up my burp causing me to puke. Well I forgot all about it and the next day I see in a town a statue of me in puking pose.:lol :lol :lol
Love it!!!!

Dude there are plenty of impressions in the thread the general consensus is it's a bloody great game.

Still can't believe you were going to buy the Ironman game though.:lol

Went through most of the thread didn't see the answers I was looking for. At least with iron man I know what kind of game I am getting into, with this one I try to ask questions and not getting anywhere.

I finally did it! I now own every business in old and current bowerstone!

With businesses only and one house for rent, you get around 4.3k+ every 5 mins,
prices unchanged. Right now I'm about 5k/5mins and im finally going to start
the story. this game is really something.

I raised the prices on house rents a 100% and i didn't see any mention or
icons of corruption, are house rents exempt?

For some reason, I can't do the smithing job anymore, it says come back another time.

Raising the dead is better than time and force for a distance fighter.
You can raise them without any dead bodies and they completely distract your target
so you can just sit there and pick them out. I was doing this a lot when i got bored
of smithing, and it was fun seeing these little undead creatures go after my targets.
But sometimes it wrecked havoc in the city a lot, when i kept pressing B from time to time.

I also bought and kept the home right next to where my character used to live as
a kid. When I bought it the door opened and this old man and his little kid(awww) walked out.
Good riddance, get the fuck out of my house(but please rent my other houses ^_~)!

Buy Iron Man then, I'm not sure you want to spend $60 on a game if you can't be bothered to look up info on it for yourself.

So i've only beat the child bit. The game is surprisingly funny. Like Psychonaughts funny.

There's comedy being demonstrated all over the place, i laughed out loud a few times.

The reasons for arrest warrants were brilliant! "Breaking and Entering, Breaking and Stomping, Breaking and trying to Glue everything together and passing it off as new" made me chuckle.

Its the delivery as well, voice acting is very, very good!

Gah, seems my Elite is broken, keep getting these crackling/popping sounds =( Enjoying the game so far, still going through the child part, going to be a complete douche first time through :lol

Anyone experiencing bugs in the items menu? I know I've read all the books in my possession, but the items menu keeps on marking them with exclamation points. Kinda annoying...

I've got that for the clothing menu. None of the individual items have an "!", but there is one next to "Clothing" on the main menu.

Yea because asking questions to people who have the game, played the game and have an interest in the game is very very stupid.

Read milkman's review and it does not help.

Wow, it turned into a completely different game when I turned the yellow brick road off. I was mesmerized by the stupid yellow path. Now I'm free... set to soar like the bravest eagle.

for everyone wondering the easiest way to have sex in the game- go to the book store, there is a book there that gives you a come back to my place expression- that one works like a charm when you have sufficiently wooed the ladys!!

I may not have the answers but give me a try.

Finally someone who wants to help. Thanks.

Its been so long since a game has drawn me in like this, think its came along just in time to stratch the itch of the genre for me.

Anyway I need a hand.

I'm looking for the first artefact on a archaeology quest and I have a note but it doesn't help me where do I go to find the piece and progress
?

You're further than me now, I ran past your Orb saving the dog in the childhood portion last night, freaked me out a bit.

Just gonna answer this one: "2. What is the combat system like? I can't stand the combat system in FF games, but enjoy the action Kingdom Hearts type." The other is too nebulous for me to tackle.

It's definitely nothing like JRPG combat. Gonna guess you haven't played it, but it really reminds me of the Witcher's combat. So, you know each type of combat is done with one button: melee is x, ranged y, and magic b. At the beginning, the system isn't really that deep; just mash whatever button. But the complexity is added through upgrades. So, the first melee upgrade is block. You hold x to defend. The second is flourishes, which lets you do a cool looking attack when you hold x and let go. Then you get chained attacks, which let you string attacks together if you tap x at the right time. I think there's one or two more, which I haven't gotten yet.

Ranged is similar. You get more abilities that get progressively more complicated to pull off. Magic is a bit different. Basically there's a bunch of spells (I think 8?), and they each have 5 levels. Holding the B button down charges up your spell, but it's done pretty interestingly. For these quick-casts, you get one slot per level, so you can have a time-slow spell in the first slot, a fireball spell in the second, and a shock spell in the third level. If you just tap B, you'll cast the time-slow. If you hold it a while, it'll do the lvl2 fire, and hold it longer to get the shock spell. It's actually pretty elegant, even though I haven't leveled magic up that high.

What I really like about the system is that it doesn't beat you over the head with complexity. Explaining it in text like this probably makes it more complicated than it really is and sort of robs you of the feeling I got though. =p I haven't really bothered with ranged, so it's really easy for me: I just tap away at y to fire my crossbow, or hold it to aim. Basically, you're learning each little move one at a time, making the game flow well and keeps the pacing going very well.

Maybe that was too long.

I thought this was going to be pretty challenging at first, but luckily I stumbled upon this while just wandering around.

My dog found it in an alley in Bowerstone (I believe is the name of the town). While I don't know the exact location, you may want to buy a book or two to improve your dog's search skill. I remember it being between a few houses not hear the town square. Sorry I can't be more descriptive.
Let me know if that helps or not.

what the hell?

i've barley eatin a thing in the game and run thousands of miles.
2 bears and a couple other drinks over the entire game and maybe a couple crunchy chicks.

how do you loose and undeserved stomach?

i tried that but the new home does not give me the option to make it a marital home for some reason.

You ate 2 bears and wonder why you're fat?

I couldn't seem to find anywhere to hook up there anyway... I only found a bedmat near the bar and the girl wasn't interested. She was bi and aggressive but not unchaste so that might have been the kicker..

You might need to turn that back on eventually (at least a the lowest levels).

My dog lead me to it when I entered the area... it's in Old Town or whatever it's called.

Not too long, but I am shocked someone answered a question in this thread, I thought it was forbidden or something. Your answer helped a lot, and thanks for not being a jerk like some of the people here.

I agree, its actually like a console version of the witcher(which was the game I was playing previously to this one). So far I am actually enjoying Fable 2 more because the world feels more alive, rather than the staticness of the witcher.

Heh, the Lionhead folks were so intent on making everyone's game experience different and unique that they even applied this principle to the bugs! Everyone has different bugs!

Seriously though, this game could freeze up every two seconds and I'd still reboot my 360 to play it some more.

Anyone have a link to a guide for the locations of all legendary weapons?

Well I did play Oblivion but not Kingdom Hearts. The combat is 10x better than Oblivion imo. It's pretty simplistic and fun. All within a second or two I can hit someone with my sword lock onto some one attacking me from behind and shoot him with my rifle then zap them all with my lightning to finish them off.
Can't say it's a combat heavy game so far for me though. I've been playing for 14 hours and I'd say only 2-3 hours or so of it has been combat. I'm sure you've read in the thread all the other shit you can do.
I'm not an rpg fan myself and don't normally care what my character looks like or how many properties I own but somehow this game has me interested in that stuff now.

This is another reason why the orbs are absolutely amazing.
I found the first artifact on my own. When I went back to find out my next quest people were asking where to find the first artifact. I helped them out. They go on their way as I try to figure out the clue to where the next artifact is. I'm stumped so I wait for the guys to come back to the archeologist and we figure out the second one together.
Just awesome!!

Haha, as a job I was asked to assassinate my wife. Anyone else get the same thing, or did I just happen to pick the wrong gypsy? :lol

After weighing my options, I decided to kill two birds with one stone and sacrifice her at the shadow sanctuary place. My daughter is going to hate me.

Same here.

Temple of Shadows question:

I've gotten over 2000 evil points or whatever, but now it says I need to make the ultimate sacrifice at "mystical midnight", what does that entail? I've tried sacrificing another wife but it didn't work.

Also, my husband the Town Crier divorced me for apparently shacking him up in a gypsy wagon. This saddened me because I only came back so I could use him as a sacrifice.

good idea gonna do it now

I seriously hope they patch the game to either give us a decent map, or at the very least make it so that we can zoom in on the incredibly cramped and damn-near illegible menu map.

I absolutely adore the game, but the fact that there's no in-game map at all and not even a decent map in the menu is completely inexcusable. I'm not sure how that ever got through quality control. It screws with the otherwise awesome exploration aspect of the game.
