guess i've been eating too much shit and drinking to much beer, getting a right gut :(

I probably helped your gut along with the Ale I gave you last night. I don't drink the alcohol in the game itself since it makes you fat, I just stock up on booze and hand them out to friends' orbs when I see them. Just like at Christmas time, everyone gets a bottle. :lol

I LOVE this game, but the lack of clothing and even weapon options is truly disturbing. The world doesn't feel very large, either.

Overall, I'm satisfied, but it's much lower than my expectations were. The biggest disappointment is that most characters will look pretty similar by the end...

I'm still not at the end of the game yet
I just finished the spire part and the game progressed by 10 years
, but while the game is a lot of fun, the extreme lack of clothing and items is a big disappointment. None of the items or weapons having any stats to improve your character is no fun either. I've been playing for like 20 hours and I still haven't found a unique weapon or item. All of the weapons are purchasable in the store and bar an augment slot or two, there is nothing unique about them. The game is great at creating an entertaining world, but it fails massively as an RPG in my opinion.

There are legendary weapons in the game, while most of them are weaker then high level weapons that can be bought. There is one in particular that is the best weapon in the game.

My in game husband want's sex but I can't get him to actually do it and I can find no explanation what-so-ever for how to accomplish this. I've tried the "seduce" and "pick-up-line" gestures a dozen times with him standing right beside the bed but the option to have sex never appears. It just gives me the options to sleep. Periodically (at random?!) it'll say that "a character want's to have sex with you" and gives me instructions to take him to a bed but it never works.

I'm really liking this game but I hate how instructions appear at the top of the screen and then are gone forever. If you miss them, you're screwed. There's no log of them.

I'm having exactly this same problem. I was able to have sex once, when I married my first wife, (fuck, that is weird to type) but now all I ever get is the "Sleep: 6, 12, 24 hours" or whatever dialog.

Did you patch your game by chance? I don't have internet access now (at home) so maybe it's a glitch that was fixed?

Same here. I had sex once with my in game husband (by accident) right after getting married. I remember having to give them a thumbs up gesture. Since then, I've not been able to get it to work.

I have the 360 version and I've gotten two updates. Still no luck.

i've had that happen to me a few times (the instructions). had the sex thing happen once, and in between saving/quitting/adventuring some more/then returning to the city my wife would suddenly have sex with me. all i do now is select the 'hot coffee' thing (come back to my place?) and then select the bed and it'll give the option to have protected or unprotected sex.

Hmmmmm... ya, it's weird. One of my wives has the "wants sex" status message and I just can't get it to work.

Maybe my dude is impotent.

Edit--And I don't yet have the "come back to my place" gesture.

Can you come back to the Tomb of Heroes later in the game? Just in case I missed some silver key or gargoyle, I just want to know if I will lost the possibility to get any achievement in this game by missing it early.

Is there a way to earn a massive amount good points? I'm really not liking the look of these horns. I should have though twice before my Bowerstone rampage.

What.The.Fuck

So I was really high watching my friend play Fable 2. I nodded off, woke up, and he was in some kind of future fantasy 1984 shit. Needless to say I was pretty freaked out and went home to play my own copy.

Was that with someone you married or with a stranger? I'm betting it doesn't work on someone you married.

Frankly, I didn't know it was possible to have sex without that expression. It is basically the "let's have sex" expression. It's the closer. And yes, it works on everyone (everyone who's willing, of course).

Bowerstone bookstore.

You need that gesture after the first time, since your spouse usually initiates it that time. Just go to the Bowerstone bookstore and buy the gesture, then use it in your inventory.

in the love hurts mission,
where do I bring back the legs to the dude in the mansion, hes not anywhere in the mansion. anyone help?

When I click Quit and Save, does that save my partners character too? We are playing same screen.

Also, at the start there's the bad guy who wants you to give him the warrants, is he voiced by Bricktop out of snatch?

So where is this arifact?

"I haven't been able to gather many clues about the next artifact. I believe it is in a cave by a beach somewhere, probably not far from the region where one of the previous artifacts was found. Which one, though, I cannot tell."

So where is this? I thought it was the Hobbe Cave, since its on a beach, but my dog doesn't bark, so it can't be that.

Ok, so I just came back from GameStop..and have the game :P (traded in mario kart wii for $40 w/ promotions..so it wasn't too expensive). Have it sealed right next to me..scared to open it due to fear of becoming addicted :lol

Decided to get this over CoD:WW at last..CoD feels just like CoD4, plus I figured there's gonna be another one next year..lol, so I'm not missing out on anything big (Fable 2).

Transport to Hobbe Cave and et in the water and swim out to your right. There is another cave out there. Gemstone Caver or some such thing.

But I married the Bowerstone bookstore owner! :lol :lol

You buy it at the bookstore (which I never found for the longest time...) -- it seems to be the only way to get sex past the initial time from marriage from my experience.

I can't fuck my wife. I bought the "Come back to my place" book, learned it, and did the expression to her. She agrees, I go to my bed in my little Gypsy shit and it just says I cannot sleep at this time. Wat. I know you guys have probably had this question a lot but please help me out :(.

Oh that place, I discovered it a while ago. Thanks dude.

I had the same problem. It's bugged. So, I killed her off. No problems after that with any other characters.

I just rented this game and it feels just like the first fable.... also the game feels too easy .. the graphics are not that amazing but I think I am really happy that a game like this was even made.... every developer is hooked on making shooter after another....

So... beat the game. Some final thoughts (major spoilers obviously).

The last scene on the farm as a child again was pretty cool, but the encounter at the end wasn't much... not even a boss fight. I also picked Sacrifice, because I'm a do-gooder type and thought that the dog was kind of annoying at times. Now my wife and kid are dead and I'm starting to miss the dog, and it annoys me that I can do nothing to undo it.

And a final note to anyone else that may be at this spot,
I beat the game, saw the statue that the people in Old Bowerstone built for me, and it says a quest titled "retribution" is available, but when I look at my quests in the menu I see nothing for it, what the hell's with that?

The thing I don't like so far (I'm only about 3 hours in or so) is the world doesn't feel connected yet. I've just been in certain locations... like a Gypsy camp, Bowerstone, Oakvale, etc. I just don't get the sense of wonder and openness of say, Oblivion, where I could virtually see one city from another.
The world is more like World of Warcraft than Oblivion.

If having to choose between the two, I prefer distinct, varied environments separated by loading times over a seamless world that features virtually no real variety. There was almost nothing worth exploring in Oblivion. Basically everything was the same, and enemies scaled to your level. It wasn't until Shivering Isles that something distinct from everything else in the game was thrown in.

This. I like how Fable II at least has different environments that still look somewhat connected. Loading screens be damned.

I am not sure if this is suppose to go in online or not. Could anyone trade me a theresa doll? I have all the others and I get Lucien dolls from the shooting range so could trade one of those.

I wish that each area had a four seasons and that the game had a real year timeframe.

I'm thinking along the lines of:
1 year = 4 seasons
1 season = 30 days
1 day = 24 hours = 1 minute per hour

Each season would gradually change. Maybe they'd have a transition for each season so it doesn't suddenly become Winter or something. Plus it'd need weather. Rain, snow. In the fall leaves would fall off the trees. In the winter they'd be gone and it would be snow covered.

It could be done so well. I keep hoping but there don't seem to be many games where the time changes seasons as the game progresses.

I guess they just didn't want you to age too fast and keep playing. Since with this model you'd be 50 years old by playing for 40 hours straight. Still, a game where aging would be gradual, your children could grow from baby to teenager to adult.

I dunno. It's just the places they actually use seasonal changes are so nice it'd be cool to have the whole game centered around it.

That would be pretty awesome.

Do your kids actually grow up to be adults or teenagers as the game is now? I haven't played it long enough to know, and I haven't seen anyone mention anything but small kids running around.

Thinking of getting this game. Is there a lot of stuff to do in a kind of black and white sense as in doing sidequests and mucking about sort of situation? Or is there a lot of stuff to do in an oblivion sense like doing guild quests and exploring a massive world? Also can you turn off that gold guide that everyone seems to be talking about. Thanks for any feedback.
