Can you trade items without a Gold Account? I noticed I can see the orbs and I can interact with them... I think I can trade but I haven't tried it yet.
We can give it a shot, just send me a friend invite. Wait, isn't it a free live gold weekend anyway?

In that case, maybe I can't normally see the orbs, and I need to trade dolls fast! :lol I don't know how it works, honestly.

Holy cow, the Daichi is INSANE! :o Shame I didn't have this earlier.. wow. Just diced throw balverines like they were beatles.

The end, I mean..what? Hero of skill quest was so short comapred to the other two and had very little substance, and then out of nowhere the end pops up. Extremely anti-cliamtic and dopey. I restarted to look at each ending, and there's virtually no difference, very underwhelming. Great game, but the end felt so rushed and poorly done comapred to the rest of the game. And god, I hate when games have the main character in a blank room while flashbacks/memories/etc. come and go. And worst of all, you don't get a chance to kill Reaver.

Anyone had any success with the Gambler achievement? I just earned 520 gold in Bloodstone after trying the other games but didn't get it..

Ahh had to pay off the debt first before leaving the table. It's truly amazing how quiet the system is now with the installs... when ejecting it made some noise and totally threw me for a loop. :lol

In a way, yes. But I still want him dead.

Hes the best character in the game imo.
especially at the end if you let lucien finish his diatribe Reaver is a pompous narcisistic awesome thief. Love him

Also yes please on the doll thing

You get a Hero Doll and then another doll at the Westcliff shooting range. You need a full set for the Doll Collector achievement but you only get 1 doll per game so you need to trade with others, or just hope somebody can send you the full set

Where are these dolls you keep talking about?

the hero dolls. you can buy them at different shops and win one off the web game and such, but from my understanding each game gets only 1 type of them, so you have to trade with other people to get all 7 types of them.

i think i have the hammer one. the icon for it looks like Pippi Longstocking.

My only complaint about the ending is that
Reaver
is only ivnolved for a very short time.

I hate him; I love him.

Awesome character. D:

I started playing my evil character. I'm already almost fully corrupt and evil, and I haven't even started the Hero of Strength quest line. (Unless you count "you need renown!" as part of it.) When I was playing my good character it took sooooo much longer! Kind of disappointing. But I guess expected.

I need the dolls but I don't have Gold. ]=

On the story, I just noticed that playing a Good character is essentially the same as the trials of Job (from The Book of Job in the Old Testament). Essentially, it gets harder and harder to be good as the game progresses.

Finally, a game that draws explicitly from Christianity without throwing in random crosses or church settings.

why can't i buy any furniture ever? All I see is a book for sale at the furniture store, I can't raise the value of my homes without this stupid store working!

Money, my friend, can solve all your morality issues in Fable II.

Lost exp during your stay at the Spire by giving the pitiful prisoners food? Refused to kill Bob because you're a saint? Defying the Commandant's wishes and the collar's working its evil grip on you? No problem! Buy 4/5 star exp potions and you get back what you lost!

I don't have an exact answer for you, but you can try checking a few things:

i.) the region where you are trading with this particular merchant has a low economy
ii.) you're talking to a book merchant
iii.) your furniture merchant accepts books as purchases from you, but you cleaned out the furniture store's stock and that's why your furniture merchant only has one book for sale. Rest at a bed to fast forward time by 7 days. This is the way to replenish stock in Fable 2.

Absolutely love this game, my favorite on the 360 at the moment. But why are there so few spells in Fable 2? Fable 1 had a much greater variety. I can understand them wanting to cut a few of them out to streamline it a bit, but they went way too far, having only 8 magic spells feels really bare bones.

Before release I wasn't too worried because everyone was saying the area effect and range spell for each one were completely different, making a grand total of 16 spells, but time control is really the only one where ranged and area effect have really different effects.

Pretty sure I read that's a glitch. Nobody seemed to be able to fix it either IIRC

same glitch but i can buy furniture at bloodstone
have you checked/gotten there yet

Apologies for probably repeating frequently answered questions.

but is there a functional difference between mace (blunt) and sword (slice) like in most other RPGs?

and how is the final combat efficiency determined?

been really enjoying the game (apart from the initial ARGH STOP FOLLOWING ME INTO MY HOUSE bullshit) until today.

what.the.hell @ the glitches and bugs in this game.

At first you're never sure its a bug because it just seems so ridiculous that maybe the game is locking me out for awhile because I need to fulfil some criteria. but I'm starting to realise the game is just stupid sometimes.

3 game breaking glitches (or at least they break crucial functions in the game)

a) I have never been able to buy any furniture from the Bowerstone store. Lame.

b) I went to the spire and on my return my wife has disappeared, my kid is in the house and doesnt react to me properly, just stands still - checked Lionhead forums where they refer to this as zombie kid bug and the disappearing wife bug also seems really common. I have no idea where she is, I may have to just run around other towns looking for her. Fucking stupid.

c) The bowerstone blacksmith disappeared. I can't buy stuff from him. Just completely totally crap.

Starting to question if it was really worthwhile investing so much time in this game when I couldve been playing Fallout 3 or Valkyria Chronicles.

Gypsy camp! At Bower Lake!

Thanks, I found that one and the next one out eventually, but now I'm having trouble with the
artifact that says it's in 'a cave near a beach somewhere'

There's something wonderful about breaking and entering, stealing, murdering the occupants of the house, slaughtering a half dozen guards, and then clear the crimes by doing "community service" in which I do a quest which racks up a ton of additional experience on top of it all. It's like getting a reward rather than punishment for slaughtering helpless ones. As a bonus, I killed the 15 people I was supposed to protect, and there were no guards around. And no one survived to report it.

It was extra nice of them to all flee into their wagons, so I could go door to door and plug each one while they screamed and begged for mercy.

God I love this game.

I bought the game a few days ago and finally got around to starting it tonight. I smell an addicting game coming on. I loved the first Fable and this one seems like its going to be as good if not better! It's very exciting.

I never made it that far on the archaeology quests. But my first guess would be
the Hobbe Cave from the beginning of the game, when the bridge to Oakfield is broken. Or the optional mini-dungeon if you swim across the water from there to the opposite beach.

Don't know if it's too late to answer, but if you can't buy anything at bowerstone in terms of furniture, you're glitched.

The only hope is getting to bloodstone. The furniture store there isn't glitched. That's how I was finally able to get my stuff.

I'm about three hours in and I must say that this had me right from the start. Wonderful music, graphics and gameplay. I love the combat mechanics. One of the best I've played this year.

So I was really fed up of being so loved at the Town Square....I gather people around me doing a dance and then do a 5 star area force push...octuple murder, should have seen the entire area light up in an area of red numbers with frown faces.

I completely agree (and actually came in the thread to make sure I wasn't the only one).
I mean, for all the wonderful praise this game got, that ending was awful. Just terrible. I kept waiting for the "twist" to occur, and thought maybe Theresa would turn out to be the end boss or something. And there wasn't even an end boss battle. One shot to Lucien's head and he's a goner.

Seriously, it was a major disappointment. I feel slightly cheated.

I got a Lucien doll for coming second place in the Westcliff shooting tournament, is this the 'Hero Doll' thingy-ma-jig?

Also, underwhelmed by the ending :(

The Rising Sun is the Harvest Benefactor Gift? What lame ass weapon.

It's great when you first get it and it cuts through Hollow Men like butter.

Gemstone Grotto. From what I can tell, that's the last one. Go outside from the Hobbes Cave and head to the right; go for a swim. You probably already went there, but this one doesn't get added as a waypoint, which is why this quest is obnoxious.

Master-class weapons (that have far more damage than the Rising Sun) become available quite quickly in the game and the fucking thing looks ridiculous. You're supposed to be a Hero, not a fucking butcher.

2 questions,

1. where do you get your Hero doll?

2. Im on the farm near end game, where do I have to save/quit to see all 3 endings? Dont want to autosave after I see one ending and block off the other 2.

So I'm at the reaver
quest where I just got enough rep to have him join me, am I near the end, Theresa said to take care of things before I was ready to go

gotta admit, the end was sorta a let down. glad you can still play after though.

watch out for the transgender potion though.
i thought i could save my game drink it see what happened then turn it of and reload before drinkin but nope. ur screwed if you drink it and don't like it.

i'm now running around with a she man charecter which sucks cuz my other guy was set up in a way i was stoked.

so bewarned, it's no joke.

When I was playing yesterday, I used the come back to my place expression on my wife in bloostone, and just as I finish the protected/unprotected selection, I see there's another guy in the room with us. The screen goes black, and all I can hear is him doing his thing, and the orgy achievement pops up

My wife got involuntarily DP'ed

Once you see the credits, just exit to the dashboard

Oh ok. I haven't got to Bloodstone yet, I just got the Hero of Will back. Doing tons of sidequests. That makes me a little happy :P
