Yeah it really feels like a reward. The actual work - chopping wood, etc - feels like work. If I had to do that for twenty minutes after each spree, it would be real punishment. As is I'm like, yay, more experience!Zeliard said:That's funny about the community service. I also never feel like it's punishment at all in this game. Whenever that option comes up I just think "sweet! more fighting." The combat is addictive and excellent in so many ways, especially when it comes to the tactile feedback (which you noted) and the brilliant particle effects when you're unleashing spells and such.
You should really invest in Westcliff before you go to the spire. (you'll see the quest for that on the quests page).Xdrive05 said:So how far along the main quest am I? Just beat the Crucible. John Harker said:Combat is a lot of fun but targeting with the gun kinda sucks. Lock on is just off sometimes and pressing L to lock on and it not catch your target takes you out of the reticule shooting which really breaks the flow of combat and oft causes me to get smacked around till I can start the process over.

I discovered last night that the Community Service quest keeps track of all the service you do, as if each episode was a separate step in a long quest. I've....I've done a lot of community service.
My favorite was going to rescue a caravan from marauding Hobbes. I killed the Hobbes - then slaughtered everyone in the caravan. They fled into their wagons, so I just went around the big circle and plugged each of them in turn as they cowered in the back. In my Renown stat, it lists me as being "adored" or whatever the highest level is there. :lol
Yup, that's exactly where I am right now. I just got done with that CS quest. And along the way, picked up all theZeliard said:Yeah, it's pretty cool how the community service also scales to whatever your crimes are. I recently did that quest where you can, and I ended up with 32x murder, 1x attempted murder (somehow), and something like 5x vandalism, so they had me fight some balverines in community service.murder everyone in Oakfield for the Temple of Shadows

Follow the directions exactly how it says to in the email and it will, I think.F#A#Oo said:If you already opened the chest in the guild area and you input the code will the chest re-activate?

Can you have multiple characters for playthroughs or do I have to overwrite it?![]()

It's a pretty common bug. It's been mentioned a few times in here, and it happened to my first kid as well. Nothing you can do but check back on your family regularly, as it can randomly fix itself -- no rhyme or reason behind it, as far as I can tell.Hellraizer said:Help. Apparently my daughter is "broken". Doesn't move, doesn't react. Only thing that gets the <3 up is gifts. Moving to another house doesn't help, she just stands at the entrance of that one instead.
Ok, thanks for the info, wasn't aware of this, as I didn't want to search on google or something, because I was afraid to run into spoilers.Scott said:It's a pretty common bug. not to spoil anything but you have three choices at the end of the game and you get an achievement for whichever choice you makeDarunia said:I'm about to start this game (seems like good timing with installs just around the corner) and I was wondering: since this is a game about choices and character development etc: are there any achievements that you won't be able to get on your first playthrough because of that? I'm not going to look at the list yet so I don't get spoiled too much, but I just want to know how they handle those choices achievement wise
You get good/evil points for your pricing on shops/houses. They accumulate just like money does while the game is off.Cianalas said:So I fire up the game for the first time in about 2 weeks and while the game is still on the initial load screen I get a notification for The Extremist achievement. wtf just happened?
Yeah, that sucked, but I'm hoping for some cool DLC.John Harker said:Completed, awesome game, technical nightmare.
Couldn't get enough of the art style.
What up with the no-ending-at-all?
GhaleonEB said:My god. The Charlie quest.
I could plow through those armies over and over. Soooo good. :lol
Cocopjojo said:Yeah, that sucked, but I'm hoping for some cool DLC.
Btw, what'd you choose, Love, Sacrifice or Greed?
I never ran into any down there, aside from the deliberate cuts to the slow-mo power attacks. The only slowdown I've run into is during high level area spells when there's tons of enemies; if you used those down there then yeah, that would slow to a crawl. I was having so much fun tearing through with my meat cleaver I never bothered with a spell.ElyrionX said:I know what you mean. Too bad about the slowdown though.
ConsumerSquare said:Finished this last night. I went with Sacrifice, so there had better be a DLC release that lets me. The twist of the knife was when I got back to Oakfield with my renown through the roof and this guy walks up and offers me a gift; it wasbring back Dog.a dog collar
Also,.Barnum at least deserves a monument in the new Westcliff. I can't believe they offed him like that; it felt like an episode of The Wire or something

but you can save choose one path, quit to dashboard after achievement unlock then do it again
