Help..I'm at the
Crucible and I'm trying to perfect round the Rock Troll. I'm using Level 1 time control so I have time to cast area effect level 4 shock. I run around in circles when he tries to attack me. It seems my strategy is not fast enough for the Perfect Round...I already "perfected" the first 7 rounds so....I would like to perfect this one as well. Dunno if it gives out a reward, but oh well.

dont bother with spells
easiest way is to shoot him and keep rolling
i recommend the enforcer took him down fast

For 8/8 you get a legendary axe. The 7 normal rounds are easy as pie, but the troll can be a pain. The first time I did the challenge I got it, lucky. I just used my master flintlock pistol and started going crazy on him. No spells used. I rolled around and fired until a weak point showed up. I went in guns blazing because I didn't expect to get him that fast first time around, but whadda ya know

Yeah, this round was actually really easy for me. I had an excellent gun so I just rolled in circles until a weak point appeared and blew it away. Worked like a charm for me.

I have a sucky crossbow ;_;
Does like 53 dmg.

I'm not really rich ATM, I bought everything in Bower Lake and bought a house for me in the Bowerstone Market. So I'm pretty much waiting for cash to come in, then buy some other stuff.

Speaking of which...what income should you let your wife? I'm giving her and the kid 60 per day for a 2 star house, dunno if that's too much.

Do Not Listen To This Man.

Raise Dead Level 2 to distract the troll.

Shock Level 5 to take out multiple... whatever those things are at once. DO NOT target one at a time. Just do a simple AoE. Works wonders.

Took me three charges to level 5 to kill the dude. Though the very last one could've been done by a couple shots from a gun. He was down to a sliver of health. I was just too lazy to look for it, so I did AoE again.

Bonus: Shock Level 5 kills the hobbes as well.

(I'm sure level 4 or even 3 would work as well. I went up right behind the troll as he knocked away at my little undead hobbe buddies.)

Damn, I don't have any of the legendary items and Master stuff and level 5 spells you guys are talking about. Am I under-levelled or what :lol

Gonna try a lot of stuff anyways.

Have you already beaten the Crucible once?

You get a ton of experience every time you go through, heh.

But you don't need level 5, like I said. I'm sure you could do it level 4.

Nope, it's my first playthough of the game.

O:

Well, you can come back and do it later, so you don't need to worry about it now. >_> Hope you don't consider that a spoiler, 'cause I sure as hell don't!

O' course, if you wanna try anyway, I won't blame you.

different strokes i guess

I think I just had a threesome with my daughter and wife.

Once back from the Spire, I went to meet my wife and kid at Serenity Farm (the one that unlocks with the Demon Door at Oakfield)...there was no one else in the house, I went to have sex with my wife, the daughter followed, and "The Swinger" achievement unlocked. Dear God.

Was it protected? You could have gotten your daughter pregnant. Or can that only happen in wedlock?

Well at least you didn't have sex with your son. Then you'd be gay.

kidding

Any word on a new set of GAF dolls yet?

I'm coming to the end of playing it through a second time and would like to finish it off completely.

Shit I think I am screwed.

I am in Oakfield and I was on my way to do the quest
The Ritual
- where I have to excort the abbot's daughter to the wellspring of light.

Before I got there I decided to do all of the jobs in Oakfield and then once I was
finished with that I did the
Scultptor
task. Now though if I set
The Ritual
as my main quest it wont pop up. I dont get any
golden trail and the Yellow Current Quest Icon is nowhere.

WTF can I do? I tried restarting and leaving the area and coming back all to no
avail.

Yeah there was only one other quest available and I did that one and now when I got to the Abbot he is
just sitting in front of two guys and wont talk to me.

Isn't that the famous Abbot bug? Welcome to the club of people who have to start over Bruce! You're lucky that you're only at the beginning, I had to rush through 70% of the campaign

Ahhh shit seriously!
FU@#$!

I spent like 20 hours before that buying all the houses in Bowerstone and Oakfield.

Anyone have a game save by chance that is before Oakfield I could nab?

I wouldn't freak out yet. DLC and the patch should be here mid Dec.

That probably doesn't make you feel better but I'm trying to find the silver lining for you :D

That's unlucky. So far the only bug I've encountered was on a bounty hunt. It said I had one more hobbe to kill but none spawned. I was stuck with the counter for ages, until I by chance ran past the guard who gave me the job in the first place. He told me off for not finishing it properly, but still paid me a bit of gold and cleared the job.

If you want to make gold quicker and don't mind being a bit corrupt, then set the rent/prices at your propeties to +100%, it'll double your money. Purities pretty easy to get back, especially if you stick to a vegetarian/non-alcoholic diet.

Ha well it did make me feel a little better.

Can't you give it another shot and start over? It'll go faster than waiting til mid december. You're only at the beginning, if you rush through the story alone it'll only take a few hours tops

The thing that sucks is before I even advanced in the story I spent a ridiculous amount in Bowerstone
leveling up my blacksmith job and then saving enough money to buy almost all the property. I then
basically repeated the same thing for Oakfield and even though I am early in the story that was some labor intensive shite.

do you have Live gold? I could donate you 100~200k monies so you could be on your way.

(how does fable co op work again? can you donate money to a henchman, does it carry over to his character?)

yes of course. thanks

np! Just rush through the story again and when you get over the Abbot point, send a FR to Creamium.

I would recommend against giving out large amounts of gold... if you get 100k - 200k that early in the game, buying stuff is relatively easy.

Well Bruce said he had grinded some money to buy some Bowerstone property, so if he chose the right stuff (Bar & Blacksmith) he should've had a significant amount. I'm just giving him enough so that the time he wasted on the work minigames wasn't for nothing

That's cool. It's just that when I played Fable 2... it became relatively easy to purchase anything once you got some serious money early in the game.

I don't see why that's a problem. Grinding money in Fable2 isn't really all that fun. Also you are limited by the inventory in the shops. You can't just buy 99 XP potions in one go.

Help with the ending.
I chose Love, yet my wife is nowhere to be found...does she remain dead..? And what's with Theresa?

I'm pretty sure the love ending, the middle one correct? is for the dog.

I thought it included all your dead family. Lucien told me my wife and child are dead, but my daughter is back home. My wife is not. (and yes, the dog's back too)

It does should include your wife. Did you check the family tab thing to see if she's still alive

Well in my family tab it still says Alex and I can still use it to go to Serenity Farm...so I'm guessing she's alive...but where?

That's weird. I married the same person, lived in the same house as you and chose the same ending and both my wife and kid where at the house when I got there after killing Lucien. I don't know what to tell you.

All things considered, it's most likely a bug.

Oh well. I shall unleash my anger on every damn villager who's in love with me.

Another small question; Can I still go to the
Temple of Shadows
after the end game if
I killed the dude that was running it near the beginning of the game? I never went there at all.

Yes,
once you kill the guy, the gate to the temple opens.
You don't even need to wait until the end game.

Rented this a couple of days ago, such a nice change of pace coming off Fallout 3. Love not having to go through the character creation process, like the dog A LOT. I think I actually like having the breadcrumb trail, it encourages just enough exploration to keep me interested in the world around fable without getting off the main path for hours and hours. And, ofcourse, the change in scenery is also welcomed. It's almost like a nice dessert after a heavy multi course meal. :lol

Atleast, those are my impressions after about 3 hours with the game.

Wtf. Spoiler about the ending:

My dog is gone ? How the hell am I supposed to find artifacts now? I thought you'd get the dog back during the after game or something :/
