Three races, three Reanult romps. Fisichella's engine going out was a downer for them, but Alonso's easy win more then made up for it. Meanwhile Michael had his first retirement due to mechanical failiure in almost four years due to lack of hydraulic pressure, while Rubuens came from the back to (I think) fourth or fifth place, but faded fast after his tires were shredded. Obviously people will second guess Ferrari's move to prematurely use the '05 car, but honestly what choice did they have? They weren't gonna get shit with the old car, that much was evident after the first two races. They should be fine in San Marino in three weeks, but make no mistake...Reanult's defintely the big gun right now.
Oh yeah, gotta give props to my boy Kimi...started on the fifth row but was able to get on the podium. Great drive for De La Rosa as well, subbing for Montoya and finishing fifth. McLaren just needs to qualify a little better and they'll be fine.
And fear Toyota...Truli finishes second two races running, while Ralf grabs fourth spot. Guess they're this year's BAR.
Anyway, it was an interesting race, though the Speed guys were mentioning that passing is more difficult to achieve now then ever because of the new areodynamic package (basically if you get too close to the car in front for too long, the inbalance from the lack of air messes the handling up big time). Certainly should've been more passes then what I saw today, considering how much faster the overtaking cars were once they got by.
