I can't seem to get a good pop in like I normally do in offline games, but I can still hitstick fairly well. Although I've been beaten BAD at times.

Yeah, I'd rather have fair play than not... despite its annoying shortcomings.

As for the effectiveness of the 3-4, I think it has more to do with the offensive style you face, or maybe how you manually control your defenders, because from a strict playcalling perspective, I've sent men to where I know the back's going and in many cases it hasn't helped dramatically. In fact, often it's been more effective to send guys where I don't expect the ball to be going so I can funnel the running game into a particular direction.

Part of the real-world success (and in particular the Chargers' real-world success in 2005) with the 3-4 has been the playmaking skills of the front seven and their ability to swarm to the ball. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a lot of swarming from my defence in Madden.

The only thing that bugs me about Fair Play is when I get a bullshit 4th and Inches spot and I can't go for it.

I just watched those vids. Very cool. Keep 'em up. The Shockey going ahead TD vid isn't working though.

Wow Wellie had some really tough breaks that game.

I've had tough luck in all of these games. 7 sacks against you last night isn't exactly a common occurence.

There are two things that opponents are doing to me that, when do to me, I lose. Obviously won't go into detail. I'll get back on track though, I faced what, the top two D's in the NFL this year in my first two games?

Madden really IS like the real thing! Alexander fumbled making me lose a drive well in progress and the refs made a lot of questionable calls.

Crazy game with Sinistar -- most of the scoring came on big plays (example: I scored 34, never saw the New England red zone).

BTW, does Sinistar know we're keeping individual player stats? Because of my ongoing recording, I actually have his stats in a movie file (I'd rather not be the one to pore over it, however), but he put in his team stats, but not his player stats on the site...
