In this thread you can vote for your top 3 Capcom characters AND top 3 Marvel characters who you want to see for UMvC3 DLC (6 characters in total).

- YOU MUST VOTE FOR 3 CAPCOM CHARACTERS AND 3 MARVEL CHARACTERS

Any other combination will be void (i.e. 4 Capcom characters and 2 Marvel characters)

I.E. No 3 times voting for Punisher on the Marvel side, this will void your vote.

Also no 3 incarnations of 1 character, i.e. Megaman/Megaman X/Megaman Vollnutt

So Dio Brando etc. are void, historical figures like Oda Nobunaga will also be void.

Sure, if you want to vote for Ken go ahead it's your vote, but think about it for a second.

Does he really offer anything that Ryu already in a vs game? Besides that, winning a top spot in this poll doesn't garantuee that that current will become DLC, that's up to Capcom.

Think what the cast misses at the moment, i.e. Marvel could use some more girl power.

Remember that Marvel is mostly sensetive to what characters are hot at the moment or have current movie tie-ins

　

- ON THE WHOLE MEGAMAN DRAMA:

After some consideration, any incarnation of Megaman is free to vote for, I'm not the one to take away your free opinion.

However think along for a second, if Capcom doesn't want him in they'll disregard it anyway, even if he gets 50.000 votes.

Consider giving your vote to another character with more chance of making it.

But feel free to vote on any Megaman.

EDIT: To make things clear all characters from that universe are legit, so vote away on Vile, Roll, Cutman or Sigma (The last one is recommend

Thread needs a new title. I thought this was a petition to have the UMvC3 changes made available as DLC for vanilla MvC3.

Historical characters aren't allowed, which rules out Samanosuke and Ieyasu.

Since Strider got added, it was hard to come up with a third Capcom choice for me, so I went with Ran.
Why can't historical characters be used? Like someone from Sengoku Basara? No one owns the rights to historical figures, do they?

Capcom said it themselves that they don't want historical characters in MVC3. That's the reason they cited for no Sengoku Basara characters in MVC3.

Also another thing to know that on Capcom's own roster list, Megaman X, Gene and Gambit just barely didn't make the cut for UMVC3.

I'd much rather see more oddballs and obscure characters in the mix.

I'm pretty sure they've also given other reasons for why they can't use Samanoske. Apparently, they can't use someone like Samanoske because the character was modeled after a real person and they'd rather not deal with the extra fees to net the character.

I think some Sengoku Basara characters were also made this way. Oh, and that definitely means no RE0 Rebecca Chambers. :(
