Official Halo 2 Thread

just finished single player on normal - freaking awesome as expected.
dissapointed at the ending though, Wont be as dissapointed if i here a possibility of halo 3 coming out *hint* *hint*

damn that was freakin cool.
 
I have been playing the Campaign lately...I'm a Halo 2 Xbox Live addict, but I'm going back and playing the campaign for a third time, and seriously, the single-player aspect is so underrated. There is so much stuff that I missed, and I find more and more new stuff every time I play. Such a great game.
 
Yep, single player was great. Not sure why people prefer the first one, besides the abrupt ending. Legendary mode rocks. Everyone should play this game on legendary mode at least once

If it weren't for the snipers, Legendary would be perfect.
 
As a massive addict of the truly Legendary game Halo, I can say I am extremely upset with Halo 2 for the following reasons.

Memorizing exactly where enemies are is not fun but necessary as one shot will kill you from the damn snipers

The punch is no longer fun or realistic. I had to punch grunts as many as 5 times to kill them finally.

The damage is unbalanced and inproportionate. Elites take much more damage (especially on Legendary) and it is unfun. No where NEAR as balanced and fun as the first game.

The cutscenes pop-in is horrible and disgusting and unprofessional. I don't want to hear any excuses I just want the game to look good, like the first one. I do not think that is too much to ask.

A new enemy besides the flood AGAIN would have been refreshing and interesting. The flood is not.

I do not like playing as the Arbiter and I honestly thought the first two Arbiter levels were painfully long and repititious. I came to kick alien butt as the Master Chief, and was really unhappy about this whole development.

I am not enjoying this game nearly as much as I had hoped. I do not think it is as good as the first game and that upsets me. I truly am envious of people who really enjoy this game, and wonder how much you played the first one. Not an attack at all just a wonder, most of my other friends who are Halo junkies are not pleased with Halo 2, EXCEPT the multiplayer aspect which is as fun and polished as I had hoped the Campaign mode would be. The first game felt much more open and battles more variable, I just am not feeling the magic in Halo 2.

Get your priorities straight for the next game please Bungie!!

Get friends and play multi...or get xbox live. Then you will fall in love with halo 2
 
Yeah, like I said in my post multi-player is everything I had hoped for and more, truly polished and worthy of the Halo 2 name. Campaign mode however....

And my ability read is ZERO...my bad y0...heh...Campaign is a bitch in legendary..but for some reason i feel like i have accomplished something beating legendary...more then i did in HALO...

Not true totally. The Normal play in single player was no challenge IMO. Online can be a joke as with the re-start of the stats, you have Halo Masters playing with noos. Exactly the situation that Bungie said they were trying to avoid.

You need to get some variety and play some of the other modes and i thought the stats were a glitch and they were fixing it...but I COULD BE WRONG! (i might be though)

Personally, I think he should be banned for not even knowing who David Cross is or who he plays in Arrested Development. The bumping of a two year old topic pales in relation to that.
