So here we are after 4 years of waiting, Twilight Princess is finally upon us! So after many delays and uncertainty whether the game will deliver or not but... finally you can judge for yourselves if Twilight Princess is indeed worthy of the 'Legend of Zelda' name. are you ready for classic Zelda action?

Story
----------

Link, a young man raised as a wrangler in a small, rural village, is ordered by the mayor to attend the Hyrule Summit. He sets off, oblivious to the dark fate that has descended upon the kingdom. When he enters the Twilight Realm that has covered Hyrule, he transforms into a wolf and is captured. A mysterious figure named Midna helps him break free, and with the aid of her magic, they set off to free the land from the shadows. Link must explore the vast land of Hyrule and uncover the mystery behind its plunge into darkness. As he does, he'll have to enlist the aid of friendly folk, solve puzzles and battle his way through dangerous dungeons. In the Twilight Realm, he’ll have to use his wolf abilities and Midna’s magic to bring light to the land. Besides his trusty sword and shield, Link will use his bow and arrows, fight while on horseback and use a wealth of other items, both new and old.

On that note, I was playing some MasterQuest just for a retrospective refresh...

Dude, it's hard!

On the Dodongo caverns, I entered a room with two deku scrubs spitting nuts at me, so what do you do? Lock on, and whip out the Deku shield. But what happens? A flaming bat decends almost instantaneously (they REALLY timed it well), hits my shield and it burns up, leaving me relatively shieldless. That was just plain mean and nasty! And there was nothing even in the room except a skulltula I couldn't reach!

But amazing they could reconfigure the dungeon and make it still work nearly as well...

Then had a quick squizzle at Wind Waker - wow, this game is pretty. And runs really smoothly. Great animation too. This one will definitely have a place in teh series, if not for the style alone.

Twilight Princess goes much further, bringing new art direction, a greater sense or urgency, and a greater sense of closure to the universe surrounding Hyrule.
Oh, and before I forget, Twilight Princess has the most ingenious puzzles and monsters ever to grace a Zelda game.

Much has been made about Twilight Princess's fishing and archery. In my experience, they are easily handled. (I confess that I ended up buying a new television so that I could A) see this game in all its bright and beautiful glory; and B) sit far enough away from my television for my Wii remote to work properly.)
The sword fighting, on the other hand, is more than good. It is downright intuitive--except... Except that I sometimes forget to shake my thumbpad when I need to do the spin move. I shake the Wiimote, do little more than thrust my sword, then remember to shake the thumbpad for a bigger slice.
User error.

Overall, the best game I have seen this year.

Okay, my early impressions are these:
The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess is indeed the best Zelda I have played at this point. (Again, the game may have something as big and tedious as the Water Temple in Ocarina that I have not yet encountered.) At this point, I give the gameplay an unabashed A+ and offer my apologies to my various editors for any assignments that may be a few days late.

Best Zelda ever confirmed...again.
