Anyway how is it? (stuck at work) and hows the user created levels implemented? Still waiting for the N+ sharing system.

I really really like this, i wasnt going to get it seen it at 800 thought quick before they put it back up for 1200. Looks great plays really well like a puzzeler more than anything else, not looked at the created content yet but it looks like if it sells well we could see some great made levels. The editor has the megaman psp vibe about it. Never played the orginal i dont think but i love this.

Nice to here Mackem mate, I'll grab it tonight. Think it's one of the rare classic retro games I can't remember playing.

Interested to hear about the platfrom/puzzling and how the levels are shared if you get a chance.
 
I remember this game making me it's bitch back in the day. I'll bend over again I guess for 800.

Looks like the shareing is done by you joining a lobby. Bit shite how you have to join a lobby to download the host of the lobbys maps. At least its in there i suppose.

Probably only way they could do it. MS has a bug up its ass about file sharing on the 360.
 
MS must've read that "1200pt Price Point" thread, as I'm sure this was said to be 1200 as well. Perhaps common sense is prevailing and they are realising just how much of a cock block that extra 400pts really is.
 
It's out now? Oh shit! I've been waiting for this for two years or however long ago it was announced. I had a version of Lode Runner for my Apple IIe way back in the stone age, then later the NES version, and I vaguely remember a PS1 version or two as well. Going to buy it now, but got any screenshots on hand, Rlan?
 
This game is kinda Pacman meets Jet Set Willy.

Anyone else wish they'd just done 2D graphics though? The 3D is completely unnecessary and makes everything look a bit small.

Perhaps there aren't many decent 2D game art designers these days as I feel most of these XBLA games would benefit from some 2D HD love. They all look a bit generic with the bland 2D/3D stuff.
 
I can't add MS points atm :( Does anyone else have the same problem? I tried doing it on my 360 and on xbox.com, but nothing works. Been broken for an hour or so now.

Same here. Sucks because the game is so very good. It feels like the same quality level as Bionic Commando: Rearmed, and I don't mean you can't jump. It looks great, the controls are really responsive, and remains true to the original all at the same time. Everyone should at least give the trial a try.
 
this is gonna be rad. Hope the user created level community is robust and active.

Was going to buy at 1200 so this is a great surprise. Only problem is I can't add points right now. Watch, the price is an error and those of us who can not buy points will be paying 1200 in a couple hours.

Anyone know if codes can be entered? Might just buy an amazon code and find out but I highly doubt that would even work.

I just tried the demo and the game seems to be pretty good. I'm a little bit disappointed the core gameplay doesn't seem to be as fun as Lode Runner Online (I think that was the title of the PC game released by Sierra) and the game isn't 60fps, but after trying all the modes this is something I'll buy instantly as soon as I can convince one of my friends to get it too (even if the price ends up "corrected" to 15 USD).

True 2D at HD resolution isn't going to happen very often, if at all.
 
My brother and I have a history with Lode Runner. We used to play it all the time on the old Apple II computer, and that was a lot of fun. Later on we would get into Lode Runner: The Legend Returns, especially with the level creator.

I hope this new Lode Runner provides good times.
 
Snap. This is actually really good. I was going to write it off due to the character art - I thought it was going to be all cutesy like the GC release so this xtreme look was disappointed - but in game is clean and attractive and the game has a nice, speedy feel while still remaining somewhat rigid. Makes me wanna go back and finally buy R-Type now that I have a stick that can play it properly.

I had to add my CCV number to get it to work.

Same here. When I started playing the trial, it was 800. After I finished the trial and was ready to spend 800 on it, the price goes back up to 1200.
 
So what happens to the people who paid 800? They get charged another 400, or are they going to drop it back to 800 for the rest of us?

Hardly fair.
 
Such BS... was trying for hours to add points to pick it up at 800 but because their system was screwed up only those with a point balance got it at the correct price of 800. Raising it now is enough to keep me from buying.
 
Dammit! I missed out on the "sale". I have been waiting for this game for over a year now, so you know I am going to buy it regardless.
 
Wow, buying an XBLA game early paid off for once! This is going to totally bomb at $15. Maybe it would have at $10 too. I dunno. Maybe the extra $5 is more than enough to make up for lost sales? I'm not that against the $15 price point but they're applying it to the wrong damn games.

I just got the Blast Off achievement (Without blasting, you have collected all gold and completed level 3-1 of the 1P Journey) while on 1-1? The wording's kinda goofy. I did reach 3-1, then went back to get the Golden Rule achievement. A few of these achievement descriptions are phrased poorly. They're a lot like most of my posts.
 
I'm not trying to derail the thread or request games, just a simple answer. Is this one XBLA exclusive?

I'll get it today if it is.
