It's a fact that guys used documented draft lists to make choices, but the best tool is the scouting tools you have.

For example, I discarded a TE because of his route running, put him lower on my list. Wellie informed me during the draft that he had excellent speed, I never got his raw speed number. As soon as I found out his speed I took him during that round, even though I had him below another TE. You can still find gems, but you need to have enough scouting points to really attack the draft.

Ha, I still like the scouting, I just don't give a rip about the draft.

I think Vick is just on a mean cold streak in the game. Some of the throws are no where close to being where I want them to go. I'll have to find a way to break that

Yeah the horrible slow menus kill any desire for me to do team-wide changes. I've just updated some important guys to look like they do on actual gameday.

I was going to go through all my guys and put their college as Maryland. Give them all old school, facemaskless helmets, and some stupid number. lol

Damn my guys are dropping a lot of passes now... even in practice.

that's your mistake, round three and four were great due to so many reaching for high development speed in the first two rounds. I don't know of anyone having information on full attributes.

So what week do you think you'll extend for thanksgiving FMT?

Seeing as we're on week 2 right now and we'll advance Weds/Thurs. Week 4 will be available around Sunday/Monday. Would you advance to week 5 on that Wednesday and then have it extend until the weekend or would you keep it at week 4?

I forget what the holiday policies are.

Having issues with Fitz as well. Only way to get out of it is to probably throw mistake free with multiple touchdowns for multiple games, for Fitz anyway, maybe Vick can get out of it quicker.

no jealousy! I think the drafts in this madden are pretty well balanced. Low potential guys aren't limited in ovr, most that reached for a high development player had lower attributes, etc.

Good luck! That's what killed my 1st season with Peyton. 6 or 7 games doing fantastic, yards, completions, TD/INT ratio--all my passes went exactly where I wanted them to (even the bad decision INTs), and then one bad game against CB with 4 or 5 INTs and that was it, cold streak for the rest of the season.

Yea like someone said above, it's all about getting guys with stats that can actually be boosted through XP gain. Some attributes seem to be locked for the duration of a player's career, maybe only increased by offseason progression. But this year I have to split up my scouting points among more players, spending them all on Pharaoh gave me one big hit, but 6 other busts. :(

A lot of guys I picked up have pretty good attributes... It's just their awareness that blows. For example: My FS and my slot receiver have really good stats but their awareness is AWFUL.

FS has something like 70 zone, mid 60s man, 60s catch, 80 jump, 90s spd/agi/acc, 90 hp, 70 tackle.

slot receiver: 80 catch and CIT, 90s spd, 70 route running, shit awareness.

re-signed justin smith and donte whitner. now to make a decision with some of the remaining guys..... specifically bowman and terrible brown. i'll probably just re-sign them and never be involved in FA :(

I took a guy with sub 90 speed at WR in the first round and he looked pretty good in week 1. He's also up 2 OVR since the draft!
